@@kimsjourneyyy Also in continental Croatia you'll find magical and beautiful baroque era city of Varaždin, amazing medieval castles like Trakošćan and Veliki Tabor, Kumrovec - interesting and picturesque open air ethno museum - village with preserved traditional Zagorje region architecture and museum of Josip Broz Tito birthplace, ... There's also Star shaped Karlovac old city centre, Sisak triangular 16th century fort, old towns of Samobor, Čakovec, Đurđevac, ... In eastern Croatia you'll also find amazing places: city of Osijek - beautiful destination at the Drava river with amazing old town in baroque star shaped fort, Slavonski Brod - city with grand star shaped fort, beautiful old Franciscan monastery, amazing Sava river promenade and large central square encircled with beautiful old Habsbourgs empire era buildings, beautiful town of Požega with famous nearby Kutjevo vineyards, small town of Đakovo with ornate old cathedral and renowned Lippizan noble horse stables, medieval Ilok with interesting walls, palace and vineries with some world class vines (some of them were served at the Great Britain Royal coronations!), Vukovar for it's huge historical importance during the 90s Croatian war of independence, with several great museums, Baranja region beautiful old villages and amazing food and vines, Kopački rit nature park, Papuk nature preserve... And this is still not the full list since it would be so hard to make a complete list of all interesting places that certainly deserve to be visited!

I will definitely be back. This was my first time in Croatia and I’ve already loved the country. The trip was short but I enjoyed every bit of it. Thanks a lot for suggestions all the nice places. Will add them to the itinerary for my next visit :)
Zagreb deserves atleast 3-4 days in itself although one can easily stay even week or two since theres s lot to see and explore in city and it's wider region.

I hope that you will visit Zagreb again. There is much more to see, like Park Maksimir, Mirogoj cemetery, Novi Zagreb, and nature park Medvednica.

There was a big earthquake in Zagreb so that is why is so many cranes and construction sites now, usuali its a nice city..
Ahh I see. I still think Zagreb is a vibrant city even with everything that’s ongoing :) nice city with friendly people and delicious food
