A stunning piece of music .
Each time they realese a song of this album I am amazed...
@@19s_Music 19 segundos hace un año,,, interesante 🤔😁
damn, this band is so underrated
London Grammar are my treasured secret, However no one is more deserving of global Superstardom than these 3!
London Grammar and Hannah Reid are the most underrated artists of our generation. History will make them justice.
How can a band who have had three Number one albums in the UK be underrated ??
@@asosyalpicimamk After Three number one albums in the UK . I would imagine Hannah, Dot and Dan have plenty of money to pay their bills easily .
@@asosyalpicimamk There success is not limited just to the UK , and they can pay their bills easily .
So Two incorrect statements . LG are also very popular in Australia and many other Countries.
The US is not everything you know .
LG may not be as popular as say Adele but they are well off financially, because of their success.
You really need to up your game .
@@asosyalpicimamk I agree with a number of your comments but you are missing a huge point re LG.
LG are not "mainstream Pop" , so the bands and artists you mentioned are in a totally different genre .
Do you think LG appeal to the teenage girl market ?
I was at a concert of theirs years ago and there were very few people under the age of 20, and many many like me over the age of 40 years old !
They have more in common with "trip hop" artists from the past like Portishead , Tricky , Massive Attack etc. Bands I knew and saw live also . Who by your strict criterion would also not be considered successful.
But you do not have to succeed in the the US Market to be considered very Successful . The Jam and Robbie Williams for instance never made it big in the US. But were huge in the UK/Europe and elsewhere .
By the way LG have had over 54 Million Views for the official Video of "strong " so as I said they are successful at a lower level than mainstream pop which they aren't.
But you claimed wrongly that the band members might have problems paying their bills which of course was incorrect.
ps huge success sometimes takes time. REM for instance took over a decade to make it really big commercially. They were a "cult band " for the whole of the 1980's. Didn't play live aid in 1985. I saw them play in front of around 50 people in 1984 in a small club in England . By the end of the decade they were playing stadium venues over hear . Yet the mainstream pop fans didn't get to know them until the 1990's . LG are now a stadium venue band in the UK.
@@keithbate9405 because they are ten times better than other artists at that level of success. No one else comes close to the level they achieve.
I wonder if this song is about London Grammar’s inexplicable and often times frustrating mystery as to why they have yet to make it really big in America and therefore achieving the stereotypical American dream. London Grammar has always seemed to me that they have got the complete package to make it as one of the most legendary bands of all time, yet they’ve always been slept on by a lot of people.
Hannah, Dot, Dan, please don’t ever change yourselves to suit any mainstream music. I’ve been listening to your music since 2013 and have been privileged enough to see you perform live 3 times in London. You have forever changed my life. You’ve lifted my spirits when at times I’ve lost all hope. Greetings from one of your most loyal fans from Bali, Indonesia 🇮🇩
The answer is quite simple. The American market is about female singers who have that awful nasal whine and have to use autotune just to sound half decent. Hannah is a proper vocalist with a good voice that she is able to use properly without a shedload of processing on it. She has the ability and the talent that those other awful (I won't call them singers because they simply are not) performers lack. London Grammar are a band way above and beyond the level of many of their peers both here and in America.
Underrated comment. I too hope they will make it big without a need for compromise. They do have the complete package
From London Grammar instagram account -
Our new song America is out today. This song is about my journey letting go of the past and learning how to write music after a difficult time with my health. I use the idea of the American dream to wave goodbye to things I didn’t need anymore
@@SpeccyMan This is also the reason they'll probably stand the test of time. I just hope they'll soon receive enough appreciation in this part of their career as well
Great words, golden words indeed
God please make this song go viral...America needs to hear this song....an absolute classic and beautiful song...these are the type of songs that need to be #1 not the crap there now
@@asosyalpicimamk while I respect your opinion...u should respect mines and go comment under Cardi B wap
@@asosyalpicimamk who says they are less popular....London Grammar has a fan base and in that a following...so your comment seems irrelevant....
@@asosyalpicimamk I have a right to free speech
One of the best female voices I've ever heard.
One of the most incredible bands of all the times.
It is impressive but think your getting abit carried away lad, as is nothing new or revolutionary. The haunting of her voice sounds like PJ Harvey and the song White Chalk here for a start!
@@jonathanwilliams2713 White Chalk is a masterpiece of an album. I really like LG , but maybe only the debut album go's anywhere near the coruscating brilliance of White chalk.
Sorry guys, but this song is a masterpiece! I know it has been said one million times before, but let me say it again: Hannahs Voice is beyond this world, and with the sound of Dot and Dan, as minimalistic as genius, they give her the space to unfold her brilliance at its greatest. New Album will be out in 5 days here in Switzerland. Rejoice!
Lyrics:
And I hope that you find it
All that you need
I hope that you stay young and wild and free
You'll have America
And I hope that you're better than all of your friends
I hope that they hold you until the end
You can have America
But all of our time chasing America
But she never had a hope for me
All of our time chasing a dream
A dream that meant nothing to me
I see where I found you, where they all lay
All of the greats they are here to stay
Here in America
And I hope that you find it
All that you are
I hope that it sets you out
In the heart of America
But all of our time chasing America
But she never had a home for me
All of our time chasing a dream
A dream that meant nothing to me
And all of the parties they fade
And yes my looks they'll go away
I'll just be left here in America
But she never had a home for me

The haunting, melancholic beauty that is London Grammar. These lyrics appear to refer to the fact that the American Dream is, for many, an illusion. Stay strong everyone! Greetings from UK.
Fire is a common theme of the album cz its lit 🔥🔥🔥
London Grammar are able to reach into those places inside of me that I hide, to soothe and nurture them. Ethereal, other worldly and just beyond incredible.
Just like Lana Legend.
The only thing equally spellbinding to Hannah's vocals is the production value of each layer these three put into each track...if you can't feel this music, check your pulse.
American fan . Much love!
American fan here and on Califorian soil. Been there with you since 2013.
this is officially my favourite song by London Grammar. Hannah's voice, the instrumentals, the lyrics. It's hauntingly beautiful!
London Grammar musical poetry, brilliant in my view.
London grammar you never fail to inspire and impress. Can’t wait for the new album to drop. All the best
Love ❤️ from
The USA 💙❤️💙❤️amazing lyrics great song 🎵we all chasing dreams here in America 💃
The heat waves and fires are real. For all our sakes - America please wake up.
As a British woman in America i relate to this. Saw London Grammar in Houston Texas like 9 years ago now
*Goosebumps*
WhAt?
Loving this band since 2013...right here in America.
Now 56 years old, it's not easy for a young band to impress me. But London Grammar is one of them. It's unbelievable what great songs they perform. It's not just Hannah's voice, it's everything together...
Same. I’m 51.
I'm 72 they are amazing saw them in Manchester on there last tour
Please never stop making music.
Hannah is a vocal purest. Pure, raw, authentic talent and of her own league. Being an ex-pat from CA. I totally get why LG has not "made it'" in terms of USA crap standards. So be it, and the best for us! The US does not appreciate their talent and it's all for the better that they won't bend. They won't ever need to! I left USA in '88' and do not regret. Love to LG! YOu make our lives so much more.
Well... London be proud of this legendary song from yours truly London Grammar!
And as for America... " Spent all of our time chasing a dream, a dream that meant nothing to me, but she never had a home for me!"
A great band since the beginning 👏👏 Regards from Argentina
Hello how are you doing today I hope you are having a nice day today
She couldn't literally sing anything and I'd love it 🙌
I JUST NEED THE ALBUM
I can’t believe they still didn’t reach a million subscribers. 🤨
I'm Irish , and this is one of my favourite Bands , What a Voice , Hanna
I would like to listen to a whole sort of unplugged album. Who's in?
The phoenix has risen from the ashes and for that we are truly grateful. Counting down the days to Glasgow to hear the most unique, pure, powerful and gentle voice to appear in many many years.
There are some Lana's vibes on this one, I love it even more
Sorry, but Hannah can out sing or out vibe Lana any day of the week.
I just listened to the album. And I have only one word: MASTERPIECE
London Grammar never miss ❤🔥🇰🇪
Have bought the new album, fantastic !!! ❤🙆♀️
I close my eyes and start traveling. Incredible!

By far the best track on the album.
I'm overwhelmed by emotions listening to this...one of the finest songs from London Grammar...vocals are truly amazing, can't really articulate how I feel...music just blends so well and brings out the emotions....

Sounds like old London Grammar, adore this song
Omg how does London Grammar always know what kind of mood I am in and then release a song accordingly. I swear whenever they release something I can always dig it.
My tender body was not ready for this shock!
Many people use the word "underrated"when commenting on LG's youtube video's ,but that is far from the truth, what they are is beautifully understated and for me that only add's to their appeal .These guy's are something else, they are a dream.

Makes me recall the idealistic projection I had on my young immigrant lover and all of tall tales of the immigrant spirit. Letting go of my naiveté is a painful process. The recent passing of my Mother leaves me no choice but to tune my vision in more clearly, removing all of the sunset tones, take it in all black and white. They emigrate, making themselves look brave, ambitious, self-sacrificing, noble...admirable. They appear innocent, vulnerable, pure-hearted. They are driven to take advantage of opportunities, chances that seemingly befall them yet not the locals. Lo and behold they are living the American dream, in a starlit way, impressing their people back home and American acquaintances alike, with the beautiful California wife, home, land, business, and US passport, all of whom and which conceal the facts of their dishonest, deplorable, and devious ways. They hate on America meanwhile profiting personally and economically. It’s the constant reminders of this deceit I want to emigrate from. I want to return to the place where I was wise, when I knew the truth, before the fairytales, adventuresome accounts, and fictitious values imprinted in my mind; before the raping and plundering of my spirit, my heart, my home...
the only band that i listened years ago, then i drift to other band or music, and come back still find them as my musically "home"
non band makes me feel like home like London Grammar
Aesthetic is the equilibrium meaning of London Grammar

Purple rain by London grammar. Love it. Regards from sLOVEnia
Why I have the feeling this will be part of the soundtrack of so many upcoming series/movies? With all the nonsense noise that's all around us, London Grammar remind us what's real music. And I'm so greatful for that. Thank you
I can't remember a time when a song made me stop and paused all my thoughts like this song just did.
Incredibly
These lyrics, wow. My parents immigrated to America when I was a toddler. I can hear them singing these lyrics, that they moved to this country for my brother and I to have better lives. But they have had many moments where America never had a home for them.
As Middle Eastern immigrants, we've seen the best and worst of this country. This song perfectly captures all of that, thank you London Grammar, you've done it again.
Beautiful, new London Grammar and new Lungley, 2021 is starting to look up
This beautiful song perfectly says what it feels like to be “left here in America”.
This singer with that angelic voice is in t o t a l control and mastery of MIXED EMOTIONS...amazingly prolific and beautiful..
I love london grammar.
You guys can do no wrong🖤🙌🏻
Thank you for being so amazing and sharing your hearts and souls with us ⚘👌🏻
Get this single shared people's!!
I came across London Grammar when I happened to flick radio stations over in the car whilst in a traffic jam and Hell to the Liars came on!! I listened to who it was by then went home and became an instant fan with such amazing work!!
Anyway, for me I think so far America is the best track on the album that we have heard. It got my interest with that guitar sound at the beginning. Hannah's voice is bang on the money in this track and is the 1st track from their new album where the goose bumps have come out!!
The lyrics being quite sad too meaning in the chorus that the American Dream isn't all it seems!! Wasnt that the message in Madonnas American Life hit lol.
Thank you London Grammar for making such lovely musical works of art!!
Nothing compares! Beautiful song. Very to the point. I really appreciate this song as a long time fan. Beautiful!
I dont know what we would have done without these guys ❤️
She has a very good voice.
London Grammar ,what a wonderful, amazing band you are 🔥
This band always continues to surprise pleasantly, atmospheric music that makes you stop what you are doing and listen,I grew up listening to hard rock music,a grounding that taught this fan about melody and harmony and wonderful singers that could reach those notes that others could only dream of, every rock fan would have skeleton musical artists in the cupboard, this is an exceptional band that a rock fan would happily unlock that key and have no bones about it
Heard it for a second time and loved it even more, London grammar, you are destined to a better place in the music world,if there is any justice in the musical side of the world, it tips on the side of the haunting beautiful world that you enlighten us, that's a world I am happy to live with
