- This realistic walking tour is dedicated to those who would like to walk around Kittery today but cannot. Check your settings because it should be viewable in 4K.
Kittery is the entrance point to Maine for many visitors. I begin on the Memorial Bridge, a nice walking route over the Piscataqua River from Portsmouth, NH. This is Route 1, also called State Road, which brings me through Inspiration Park and on towards two favorite shops, Golden Harvest market and Beach Pea Bakery. From here I pop downtown to Lil's Bakery on Government Road and walk up to Enchanted Nights Bed and Breakfast. Then I walk on Whipple Road and Old Ferry Lane, before popping over to Fort McClarry. Next I check on Chauncey Creek Lobster Pier, which is closed so I head to SeaPoint Beach. The end of the walk brings us to the outlet stores next to the highway on Route 1.
There are a couple odd edit breaks in the video where I cut footage to relieve copyright claims, which make no sense since I did not use any song in those music-based copyright claims.

We appreciate your effort, keep doing whatever it takes to make content!
Thanks! I appreciate the encouragement.
We really enjoyed your video walking tour of Kittery Maine. We liked your occasional descriptions and showing a few seconds of some of the things you passed. We especially loved your going into some stores or showing a store window for a few seconds. Your information at the bottom of the video showing where we were (actually where you were) as you went along was great. We feel like we were there. It was obviously a lot of work for you. Thank you so much. Peggy and Chuck Letts
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the comment because it fuels me to get out there and make a new video!
This was lovely thank you Rachel!
You're so welcome. Thanks for the comment.
new fan here!! i enjoyed the video!
Super! Thanks for commenting.
Lil's was the absolute best! I dream about their pastries.
True true. And they always taste as good as you expect.
Beautiful town. Been there and loved it. Are you using the GoPro 9? Looks like the 9's color profile.
Insta360 One R. It's good but I think next time I will also bring a big camera for some images of things farther from the camera. But for long walks with a steady camera, the action cameras are quite good.
@@RachelWhelton Wow, I'm actually very surprised that's the One R. I've recently been doing a lot of homework on that company. I've been looking for a 360 cam and their One X2 is hands down the best 360 cam on the market. But even this one looks good in 4K, it's strikingly similar to the GoPro Hero 9 which is what I use. I was convinced that is what you used here. They make a solid product it seems. Thanks for letting me know, cheers!
Thank you for sharing, I lived there from 87-90 . Nothing looks the same , it was a quaint little town, but now it looks like unfortunately a tourist town 😕
is maine a good state for african immigrants
That is hard for me to answer because I don't have personal experience. But generally I see the people of Maine as open minded and warm hearted. So I hope the answer is yes.
Yes but very cold.
