Thanks for the video, I like your riggings. One of the issues I often face when trying double hook or anything else but just simply under the lip through the nose when the current is fairly high 2 or 3 knots or if you try to slow troll, if the rigging isn't right the bait will spin and mess up the line, swivels don't help much.
Thank you. My son A, and I were watching and wondering why we kept losing our dead bait to the mutton snappers down here in the Caribbean. We will try some of these methods next time. We really appreciate the explanation and multiple rig setups.
Hi Mate, when your float lining what’s your typical sinker sizes you use ? Thanks for your videos I’m new at the off shore fishing scene and your a good help .
Yeah heading out chasing Jews and Threadies at mouth of brissy…..never had a boat so limited experience thus really appreciated you vid and willingness to share. Will let you know how it goes
@@ShannonsFishing didnt get anything on live bait yesterday, but i pulled a 4,4 lbs sea trout on a non sinking wasp on the fly rod yesterday. Bought this brand new container where you spray it on the fly to make it float better, have tried oils before but this was the best one yet by far. Can highly recommend it if tiy have not. if they are top feerding of course. Had at least 6 bites. Wasps or bees no matter what anybody says… Theyre the best flosting flies around. Been fishing trout for all my life almost, im 32. Started at 10. And they never disappoint.

Thanks Gary
Great videos Shannon. What size hook do u use for ur live bait snell rigs? Cheers Matt
5/0 octopus for the smaller baits and 8/0 for the larger baits.
Good luck buddy.
Hey mate. I'm very new to the game. Was wonder what size hooks you use in the vid. Are they size 5/0 circle hooks? Appreciate any advice cheers 🍻
The hooks in the video are 5/0 octopus hooks, not circles. I run the brand BKK as they are very strong and sharp. Good luck mate.
Awesome mate thanks heaps for the tips. Have you ever done 2 trebles as a slow troll rig instead of just a stinger type rig?
No I haven't Steve but I was thinking of running something similar with a Wog Head this year for Mackerel.
Great tips mate. Will you be doing some estuary techniques as well? Like lures and live baits ect. cheers 👍
You are welcome and thanks for the great video idea. I will get onto that one soon.
Hi Mate, when your float lining what’s your typical sinker sizes you use ? Thanks for your videos I’m new at the off shore fishing scene and your a good help .
The smaller the better and no sinker if there is no current. I mostly use 0 to 000 sizes on our close reefs.
great tips thankyou
You are so welcome!
Wow awsome video mate! Glad I came across your channel
Welcome aboard!
Great video thanks 😊
Interesting
Not pinning the treble work fine, even with trolling dead baits for mackerel 👍
Good to know. Thanks Nathan
Thanks for sharing your knowledge ❤its help for me
You are welcome mate.
Great Job.Thanks
Thanks mate, I hope it helps.
What size hooks on the first one, and what size sinker
6/0 to 8/0 octopus hooks depending on the size of the bait, and the sinkers are a number 8 ball. Good luck mate.
Excellent information.
Thanks.
You are welcome mate.
