According to GE, Deep Fill is supposed to add 3 gallons of water when pressed once. Pressing it again after the cycle starts add another 3 gallons. If you press and hold Deep Fill for 3 seconds before starting the cycle, it's supposed to add 26 gallons of water. I can't get mine to do this. The most water I've been able to get Deep Fill to put in the tub is only enough to fill around 8 inches, which is not even close to the 26 gallons GE claims.
So I got this washer as a replacement for my 8 year old Bravos and so far everything works as advertised. My deep fill works. I’m really pleased with it
I've bought my Electrolux front load washer and dryer because of your video(s). They'll be here on Tuesday! I think you're doing a great service for consumers with your videos, Kirk! Keep up the great work.
Don't hate me for saying this, but tell these guys: www.yelp.com/biz/appliance-associates-service-center-austin-2 But I truly thank you for your comment. My first front loader was a Frigidaire and my current one is an Electrolux, it has been a great machine. This is my dad's 42 year in business and it is a struggle competing with the big box stores. The picture next to my name is my son... Take care!
Hands down...the best washer and dryer I have ever owned! I used it finally last weekend; and I washed everything. I upgraded from an old 100 Series Bosch and though I loved the reliability and quiet; Bosch no longer makes full-sized front loaders and I needed something with more features. The comforter that I used to wash in the Bosch, took three extra buckets of water and the entire wash cycle to get saturated. The Electrolux had it saturated in less than 3 minutes! Your video helped me make my decision...so thank you, Kirk!
also a washing machine i really like is called the whirlpool/kenmore calypso which is really efficient because the water level is always below the wash plate because it only draws water from the tap through the detergent dispenser, fabric softener dispenser, bleach dispenser and a spray nozzle on the left side of the tub and so it recirculates the water through a pump which gets filled when a dispenser flushes itself and i think to keep the recirculated water clean it traps the dirt in a filter but i dont know and also the calypso washers use a counterclockwise tilt instead of a standard agitate to move the clothes in a circle around the top of the wash plate and to shower the recirculated water on the clothes that pass under the spout which is on the back right corner of the tub and the process of the normal cycle is as follows: 1. fill: when you press the start button, the detergent dispenser flushes itself for a while and the wash plate engages and moves the clothes for a second and then pauses to let the pump fill up with water 2. direct inject: the pump turns on and the water comes out of the recirculation spout and the wash plate disengages and the tub turns slowly to saturate the clothes 3. wash: the brakes stop the tub and the wash plate engages again and moves the clothes to clean them and the detergent dispenser flushes a short time to top off the pump water level 4. bleach rinse: in the last few minutes of the wash, the wash plate stops tilting and the detergent dispenser flushes again to fill the pump to prepare it for the bleach (this happens even if you don't use bleach in the load) and then the bleach dispenser flushes and then once the bleach reaches the pump it turns on again and the machine injects the bleach using the direct inject portion of the cycle into the load and then it goes back to washing 5. drain: the detergent dispenser flushes again to flush the suds from the machine and then the pump switches to the drain hose and all the water in the tub and the pump goes out of the drain hose 6. 1st rinse: the wash plate distributes the load by moving it for a short time and then the tub brakes disengage and the wash plate disengages and spins at low speed and then the bleach dispenser flushes again and instead of the bleach coming out of the recirculation spout, it goes through a fresh water spray spout for a minute 7. extract: the tub stops for a moment to redistribute the load and then it starts spinning again but this time it spins fast 8. 2nd rinse: the tub brakes engage to stop the spinning tub and then the bleach dispenser flushes one more time and the detergent dispenser flushes to refill the pump and then the machine does the direct inject again and then it stops and the wash plate engages to rinse the load then it extracts the water out again the 3rd rinse is the same as the 2nd rinse except the bleach dispenser doesn't flush and then it extracts the water out again 9. 4th rinse: the machine saturates the load with the recirculation spout and it rinses again except after a minute it stops and the softener dispenser flushes itself and it goes into the pump and the machine injects the softener into the clothes for a few minutes and then the softener dispenser flushes again and then the machine continues the final agitated rinse 10. 5th rinse (spin spray): the machine starts spinning faster than the extract cycles and when the tub is at a certain speed the fresh water spray nozzle turns on to spray the load 11. final 800 RPM spin: the machine stops spinning and redistributes the load longer than usual because the final spin is long and then it spins and ramps up to 800 RPM for a while 12. fluff: after the final spin is complete, the machine moves the load for a while one more time to loosen them from the tub and then it pauses and it disengages and spins very briefly and the machine beeps and the machine will reset when you open the lid
KIrk,, I could of swore that when you washed a few t-shirts with this machine, that it seemed to fill up more than 8 inches when you used deep fill? Or am i wrong?
Kirk absolutely love your videos and definitely keep'm coming :) Any chance you can possibly make a video going over the cycle options and perhaps this unit washing with a load of clothes? Would be great, im sure many of us wanna see it in action with a load :)
Felicia, I like this washer too, especially the recirculation of water during wash cycle and I really appreciate your support, the biggest form of gratitude is a positive review on our yelp page, if you are up to it and if you feel that we are deserving of it, thanks again. - kirk www.yelp.com/biz/appliance-associates-service-center-austin-2
I've been waiting to see a video like this of this machine. I've already ordered it but I'm worried b/c a lot of people complain about the noises it makes
blahblah162005 i have this washer and im loving it. its not as noisy as ppl say and it washes well. great turn over on all cycles. it is one of the best machines i have bought. i hope you enjoy yours
Tana D'Amico always use the deep fill option for best water result. u can play with the amount of water that goes in by pressing the button for 3 seconds then let it fill to what u want and press it again to stop the filling and it will wash. the agitation adjusts to the cycle and water thats in it. the more water, the longer the wash strokes will be. i have videos on its performance
Well, I took the gamble and have this machine on order from Home Depot. I'm hoping I don't regret my decision. I would like to see more good stories about this GE. I already know about all the negatives. So, shall we hear it from those who have had a successful experience with one of these?
Actually, I do K Alston. My machine still looks as clean as it did when it came out of the box. And it does clean surprisingly well. I ran some towels that were nearly blackened from cleaning coffee machines, walls, and a three-compartment sink. They turned out nice enough to where I can put them right back to work. There are some tricks to this machine. Watch your water level, which should come up just enough to where you can see it with a load of cloths. No more. The White and Heavy Duty cycles can utilize the Deep Fill feature, but the Normal Colors cycle can't. Also, when you use Deep Fill, the impeller will use quick, short strokes. That can be fixed by pause, power off, then restart. It will pick up where it left off, with the impeller moving with slower, longer strokes. Settings may need to be re-adjusted, though. A work around for the Normal Colors cycle without Deep Fill, is to get the cloths wet, before loading them. The machine will think it's a heavy, bulky load, and will use a lot more water than it would if the load was dry. If you don't use enough water, the load will ball up. If you use too much, it won't clean as well as well as one would like. And finally, the spin balance can be troublesome. If it wants to balance, which uses more time and water, just re-distribute the load (pause it first to unlock), power off, then use the Drain/Spin cycle. This is a hands-on machine for an intermediate user who wants to save money. It is not for a beginner or someone who is not mechanically inclined or is not computer literate. But once you learn it, it can actually be pretty rewarding. I will write more after your response. I strongly feel that this is the one HE top loader to get, because it gives you better control over the water levels. Plus, you can correct errors mid-cycle, which you can't do with other makes and models (correct me if I'm wrong here). Computers are NOT as smart as some might think. They are pretty dumb, actually. So we often have to think for them.
cnnw3929 glad you’re doing great with your washer. I had this washer and it washed great. The jeans cycle is great. Its a great HE washer because u can play with the water level unlike the whirlpool or maytags. I never had a problem with it. Thank u for the tips as well. 🤗
We had a machine in the shop that would stop mid cycle periodically (GE GTW330ASKWW). After GE replaced the control board under warranty, a new service flash from GE got to us and we found out that the pressure sensor hose connection at the tub had to be modified. I think he put a bit (drill bit) where the hose connects to the tub and reamed it out slightly larger. It seemed to have resolved the problem. I think it was a known issue but the tech thought that the board was bad. If he would have called his support people that would have directed correctly.
Just got a new one of these for warranty... the sound it makes in spin cycle sounds like machine is going to take off.... can slate title floors make the spin sound worse? Should we put a rubber mat under to insulate?
I am loving this machine, some people say that the machine without agitators do not wash clean, I am wondering if you have issues with clothes not being clean?
This washers is decent but the colors cycle is worthless unless you have like three shirts to throw in there because it won't let you select deep fill.
So the water never rises up more than that? I bought one but I was worried because it wouldn't fill up all the way, only that much as shown on the video.. so in guessing that's the normal water level??
I just bought this washer. I was going to wait till black Friday but saw this and couldn't wait. OH also I bought a Whirlpool piece of shit washer 3 yrs ago that made so much loud noise it drove me crazy. I found out the springs were gone and to replace $140. I just couldn't pay that money to fix again after 6 times of having Whirlpool come to fix other problems. The agitator sucks
If you push it for three seconds before starting a load I won’t let you do it you got a wait until the washer cycle begins and then it goes left right left right then push keto for three seconds then you get it 26 ounces of gallon
Does this have a Spin Only or Rinse Only cycle? Sometimes I just want to run clothes through water before actual washing and sometimes I do handwash and only need to spin dry.
arjosca22 in order to get the rinse and spin cycle, you select the drain cycle and press the deep fill or second rinse button. This gives u the rinse and spin only cycle. I have this washer and I've done this plenty of times
Kendrick Jamone no it won’t. Without deep rinse, the rinse cycle is less than a minute and uses less water, with fabric softener this would cause softener stains on your load. I just got this machine 3 weeks ago, and LOVE IT! Ge made changes from this video though. Mine does not have the recirculating pump which sprays water over the clothes while washing. It handles 6 full size sheets and pillow cases like a dream! This replaced a 13 year old Maytag, I’ll say this, we don’t miss the Maytag!!
Today I looked at a washing machine exactly as is this one called Mabe Aqua Saver here in Mexico. I’m so disappointed because it starts with high speed agitation for about two minutes and then it lowers it to a speed like if it was distributing the clothes for the spin cycle. Im really disappointed for the performance it did on clothes. I loaded three bath towels with normal dirtiness and used the deep wash cycle with hot water, heavy duty soil level and maximum spin speed. Towels came out exactly the same as they were at the beginning. I think this is a huge lemon as many of the new HE top load washers from different brands. When you load this machine, it sounds like if it’s about to be broken or like if it was doing the best and last effort of it’s life. I felt sorry for her 😔😔😔😢😢😢. People please stay away from this rock if you don’t want your whites to turn gray or yellow and your heavy loads coming out as they were plus wasted water, detergent and time. I thing that pisses me off, is that you can only wash about five pairs of jeans even though you have a huge washing basket. Don’t ever consider throwing in more clothes 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Worst washer ever just over 2 years old and the motor went out the repair is going to be more then I paid for the washer. Save yourself the headache but the speed Queen.
The GE model I have is Terrible. Stainless Steel bottom Agitator has broken off 4 Times. GE replaced the whole gear and assembly after two weeks of use. Waited a month for parts. The same thing has been repaired 4 times going on 5. The machine is a DOG. PIECE OF JUNK. CLoths do not get clean either.
GE could care less. They offered me a discount on parts...or a list price washer at 899.00 for 599.00 when it sells at Lowes for 619.99 and mine was 1199.99 and lists for 1599.00. GE SUCKS and I will never ever buy one of there products ever again. Same is true for their Microwaves that the Magnatron fails after 3 years and the control panel within weeks of being new. VIDEO OF WASHER TO FOLLOW. WIll post link here
According to GE, Deep Fill is supposed to add 3 gallons of water when pressed once. Pressing it again after the cycle starts add another 3 gallons. If you press and hold Deep Fill for 3 seconds before starting the cycle, it's supposed to add 26 gallons of water. I can't get mine to do this. The most water I've been able to get Deep Fill to put in the tub is only enough to fill around 8 inches, which is not even close to the 26 gallons GE claims.
then you're doing it on the wrong cycle, on colors, I get the full 26. its a lot!
Do you need to go back to the normal cycle.
So I got this washer as a replacement for my 8 year old Bravos and so far everything works as advertised. My deep fill works. I’m really pleased with it

1. fill: when you press the start button, the detergent dispenser flushes itself for a while and the wash plate engages and moves the clothes for a second and then pauses to let the pump fill up with water
2. direct inject: the pump turns on and the water comes out of the recirculation spout and the wash plate disengages and the tub turns slowly to saturate the clothes
3. wash: the brakes stop the tub and the wash plate engages again and moves the clothes to clean them and the detergent dispenser flushes a short time to top off the pump water level
4. bleach rinse: in the last few minutes of the wash, the wash plate stops tilting and the detergent dispenser flushes again to fill the pump to prepare it for the bleach (this happens even if you don't use bleach in the load) and then the bleach dispenser flushes and then once the bleach reaches the pump it turns on again and the machine injects the bleach using the direct inject portion of the cycle into the load and then it goes back to washing
5. drain: the detergent dispenser flushes again to flush the suds from the machine and then the pump switches to the drain hose and all the water in the tub and the pump goes out of the drain hose
6. 1st rinse: the wash plate distributes the load by moving it for a short time and then the tub brakes disengage and the wash plate disengages and spins at low speed and then the bleach dispenser flushes again and instead of the bleach coming out of the recirculation spout, it goes through a fresh water spray spout for a minute
7. extract: the tub stops for a moment to redistribute the load and then it starts spinning again but this time it spins fast
8. 2nd rinse: the tub brakes engage to stop the spinning tub and then the bleach dispenser flushes one more time and the detergent dispenser flushes to refill the pump and then the machine does the direct inject again and then it stops and the wash plate engages to rinse the load
then it extracts the water out again
the 3rd rinse is the same as the 2nd rinse except the bleach dispenser doesn't flush
and then it extracts the water out again
9. 4th rinse: the machine saturates the load with the recirculation spout and it rinses again except after a minute it stops and the softener dispenser flushes itself and it goes into the pump and the machine injects the softener into the clothes for a few minutes and then the softener dispenser flushes again and then the machine continues the final agitated rinse
10. 5th rinse (spin spray): the machine starts spinning faster than the extract cycles and when the tub is at a certain speed the fresh water spray nozzle turns on to spray the load
11. final 800 RPM spin: the machine stops spinning and redistributes the load longer than usual because the final spin is long and then it spins and ramps up to 800 RPM for a while
12. fluff: after the final spin is complete, the machine moves the load for a while one more time to loosen them from the tub and then it pauses and it disengages and spins very briefly and the machine beeps and the machine will reset when you open the lid

I have this washer. And it just randomly stopped working yesterday. It doesn't drain the water or even spin.

Kirk Rivas Yeah it is. Just wanted to see if anyone else had the same problem.
We had a machine in the shop that would stop mid cycle periodically (GE GTW330ASKWW). After GE replaced the control board under warranty, a new service flash from GE got to us and we found out that the pressure sensor hose connection at the tub had to be modified. Just got a new one of these for warranty... the sound it makes in spin cycle sounds like machine is going to take off.... can slate title floors make the spin sound worse? Should we put a rubber mat under to insulate?
I always assumed that a mat would be less stable than hard floors. It's worth a try. Also try a throw rug in front of the washer and dryer.
ok will try... as GE came looked at it and says it works good. The tech twerked it a little so spin speed was lower but we will try something under.
Shouldn't need a rubber mat under it seeing that the adjustable legs already have rubber bumpers on them.
I am loving this machine, some people say that the machine without agitators do not wash clean, I am wondering if you have issues with clothes not being clean?
Sorry, I have not washed with one yet. My service technician has one (Samsung) and he fills it does a really great job! He does mostly smaller loads.
Kirk Rivas thank you for taking the time to reply, very much appreciated!
Leotha King this machine does a good job, I have it and I have some videos of it. It washes pretty good

skip to 4:04 for my favorite sound that a Maytag bravos x makes
Love to see how it does with clothes in it. Full load
Now I know that mine is operating normally, this is my "he" machine, and was like what the hell is this thing doing, thanks
It sounds like the GE's of 20 years ago from all of Latin America.
It's empty, and is easier to balance.

Nobody's care 🤣🙄
Worst washer ever just over 2 years old and the motor went out the repair is going to be more then I paid for the washer. Save yourself the headache but the speed Queen.
Isn't the motor warranties for 10 years? I smell b/s
@@khall187, No, the 10 year warranties are for the direct drive models (which are far more reliable).
That sounds awful. I really hope GE resolves the problem. Same model as this one? Keep us posted on the status of your washer.
WIll post link here
That sounds bad. I hope you find one that will treat you better. What model was it?
Horrible machine, doesn’t fill enough water to wash a fucking spoon. I just brought this bullshit and already I want my money back.
