I love all your presentations from start to finish. It gives the consumer a thorough demonstration of exactly what to expect under different washing scenarios, cycles and conditions. Thank you. I believe you are the only one that gives the potential customer this much of a completely informed illustration. It’s actually, very necessary. Again, thank you for that.
I have the GTW460. It's 2 years old. I've never washed a bad load of clothes in it and I've never had a problem getting it to fill the whole tub. I've washed huge loads of blankets and sheets in it with no problem at all.
Thank you for doing your shirt. Please do more video. So I could understand the machine I really appreciate if you could more video. The model number is GTW485ASJAWS. I'm learning a little bit everyday. Thank you
What Aggravates the most is the fill time & the agitation speed. These are 2 major detractors that unnecessarily add to the overall wash time. If they took a page out of the early Kenmore series or the current top loading commercial washer, the washers would have much better value.
It's one of my favorite washers in today's marktet aside from the new Maytag top loading unit with the agitator on the direct drive motor. My only complaint is the noise it produces during a spin cycle. 😕 In any which case, great video! 🤗
@@ExpertNailsSpa Not exactly, the washer is just relatively light material with a large capacity drum in addition to sitting on stubby adjustable feet.
I'm glad they've gone back to the slower agitation which is far better on the clothes than those old school high speed thunka-thunkas of the 80's and 90s
Yes, but those agitators on the Kenmore washers I'm talking about from the 1980s only had a 90 degree arc. When set to slow, it didn't move the clothes adequately. IF the arc had been wide like you see here, it would be different. Amazing how that one went over the engineer's and designer's heads.

Something else my friend, How are you able to run the machine with the lid open?...every time I Try That The Machine would stop running until I close it Again?? [Scratching my chin Hmmmmmm]? Help me out Mr.Einstein You Da Man! Thanks
I follow his setting its work thank god, its not a regular load of laundry more like semi regular load of clothes. I counted the towel couple big towels couple regulars size and one hand towel, 7 in total. I measure the water level from 11 to 12 inches in water depth if it helps anybody. I'm assuming this is the only setting that fills up max ...because my washer doesn't have the small medium large or extra large wash.
CumminsN14DBest I wish you good luck. There is lots of bad reviews with these GE washing machines. Mine was good for about a year. Then no good. Take it back and get your money back. Look for some better
Can You Help.. I Just Got the GE Washing Machine model *GTW485ASJ5WS* and when I Put A Load of clothes in it, and press the ''Deep Fill option'' the machine start to add water but only about 3 inches, then it starts to wash??'''' I Lifted the lid and the clothes where not even wet??!!.It Never gets no where to the water level demonstrated in your video No Where near the top? any Suggestions 💪🏾💯
Most old school washers will stop filling once the water pressure switch is satisfied even it it takes 24 hours to fill. New machines will throw an error code if it takes too long to fill. Slow fill can be due to a bad water inlet valve or restriction in the hoses (screens) or there may be a plumbing issue. Now, some of the current GE top loaders will not throw a code if it takes too long to fill, instead it waits for a certain amount of time and ready or not, it will start washing even if it is only a couple of inches of water. So long story short, make sure you have sufficient water pressure to your washer by removing the hoses off the washer and let them drain down the drain pipe. Also try holding the deep fill button, I think there is something in the manual about how to use the deep fill.
Mr Rivas, Thank You for the video. This looks like a very nice series of machines as did the impeller model you'd shot a few weeks ago, and the Hotpoint. All looked to have better circulation than the large agitator model Maytag. I have two questions. My first is that a few years ago General Electric washer's repair reliability ratings had slipped. The machines have been replaced across the board within the last few years. Do you know if they've substantially improved? My second question is, were you able to save your shirt?
After viewing these washers, I'm becoming a believer too. I feel a bit more confident and comfortable about selling them. As far as reliability, you never know. I feel terrible when I sell a machine to a friend or old time customer and seeing just 5 year life cycle. In the old days if a Maytag washer only lasted half of it's life span people were still satisfied after 10 years. Now I see machines with a 8-12 year life span but it is not uncommon for those to go half that. I say if you get a great deal on the washer then buy it with the understanding of what I mentioned above. In most cases when you spend a lot of money on a washer you are mainly buying bells & whistles and bragging rights and NOT longevity. These new line of GE washer are impressive. I should have worn that comfortable shirt (i have a big neck) to the wedding anyways because I was wearing my coat the whole time. I guess it time for the bleach. Thanks for your post!
I've got three washers and two dryers at home. In the between the master bath and closet I have a stacked pair of Whirlpool Duets that were on the main floor when I moved in. On the main floor is a pair of front load Speed Queens that I've got for about thirteen or fourteen years and brought with me from my last house. If anything ever happens to the Duets then I'll get a pair of Speed Queens upstairs too. In the garage I have a slop/laundry sink and I had an old Whirlpool portable hooked up to the faucet to wash rags. When it broke about two years ago I bought a new GE 1700 Series front loader from one of our area's major dealership's scratched and dented stores. This one had a scratch on the side. No dents. So far it's been completely free of problems and has cleaned extraordinary well considering that it's difficult to make tags look great. It's hooked up to the portable adapter from my old machine. Shame that GE couldn't straighten out their laundry program faster. They might not have needed to sell the company.
It has assembly called a platform and transmission assembly part number WH38X24354. Purchased as a two piece assembly. There is also a clutch sold separately.
If it is set to deep fill, then why did the water fill only half way up tub during washing? Shouldn't it be to the top? I need a washer that always fills to the top no matter what because I do large loads and king size bedding. Thanks.
JovialSentiments this washer will legit fill to the top, but it’s a pain. It has a deep fill button, but you literally need to be there to hold it down every time it fills to ensure you get enough water in the tub. i miss the old days.

BroccoliBeefed They cleaned at least
BroccoliBeefed You can choose the agitation on high speed washers to medium, gentle or slow depending on the brand and model.

Interesting how the drum moves back and forth.
These type of machines all do that.
Woo!,
seems like Impressive wash action to me,
Clothes will get cleaner in that machine, as opposed to the agitator less washers.
There is no such thing as an agitatorless washer. The other washers you are referring to, the agitators are called paddles, or baffles or wash plates.
BroccoliBeefed I do not like the washers with the wash plate.
I bought this model. How are you doing all this with the lid up?
16:28 I don't feel bad at this point HAHAHAHAHA THIS WASHER IS SO FREAKING AWESOME
What happened at that time stamp?
Dude it's been 2 years

Can you do a comparison of the Maytag commercial washer and dryer with the GE commercial washer and dryer (features cleaning)?

Does this machine limit the water temp on a hot wash cycle?
- São quantas rotações por minuto (rpm) que ela faz na centrifugação???🤔🤔🤔
- Chega à 1000 não né!?!??!🤔
- Gostei da máquina.

For having an agitator isn't 50 minutes a long run time?
For bowl clean cycle on a Fisher and Paykel agitator it takes almost 3 hours
