This always annoyed me. They were friendly at this point. If Rory would have told Paris about the meeting she had more reason to believe Rory than Francie. But, they needed the drama for tv.

Paris was more pissed that Rory blabbed about Jamie after Paris told her not to tell anyone in an earlier episode. The other thing too, but mostly that if I remember what she said during the fencing scene correctly.

1:22 its cosmetic, because there are already gays in the military , the only difference is that they would be open about it, the change in regime is cosmetic

This is such a tonedeaf, ignorant take on the writers. DADT wasn't just aesthetics. It was a compromise to prevent the military from persuing, harassing, and discriminating against gays in the military. Previously if the military found out or even just suspected that someone was gay they would ruin their careers and their lives for it.

@@Trillykins first off, I think you should acknowledge that there isn't as much uniformity in the LGBT community as the liberal community would think, I would even go as far as making comparisons to Liberals trying to call hispanic people LatinX , and they were having none of it. I think there is a lot of gay sex that happens in the military, but its with men that identify as more masculine. On the surface it looks like it was protecting gay people, but it was actually codifying the culture of what gay people could be like and how they are meant to present. Honestly I think if the Lgbt community was more inclusive to more masculine personalities it would have been accepted in more conservative circles and there would be fewer closeted people, but because the community has kind of communicated that you need to be into the most superficial parts of femininity to be connected, that didn't happen. I believe people's live were ruined over that but I bet it was more that they didn't jell with the community and that was the excuse to kick them out. I think in the end, the don't ask don't tell bill repeal was just liberal people patting themselves on the back for inclusivity when they really didn't get the issue and ultimately made it harder people to live being gay in they way that they want. Like Latinx, say you are helping them preserve their identity, when really you are just telling them how to present as their identity, and its really about the people making the labels than those living the labels. I expect Gilmore girls to have a nuanced, understands-how-it-actually-works, kind of take on the issue, this is with out a doubt one of the gayest shows I have ever seen, and like with the military, its in plane sight and not everyone can see it

@@PhilospherDjPsychologist24 first off, I'm not a liberal. Besides that I think you should read up on what the bill did because it was not just cosmetics. It covered protection against harassment and pursecution and made it so officers couldn't launch investigations into suspected behaviour.
