I think you perhaps saved that engine from severe damage by discovering the con rod (and piston) improperly installed. Noting the chamfer, it's (proper) installation most likely affects internal lubrication. Seizure of an engine that size would perhaps cause somebody to be looking for a place to immediately dead-stick land a very expensive aircraft with a good chance of crashing. It is fortunate you discovered this before running (or selling!) this engine to someone.

I am the same about photos. I believe that poor lighting and blurry photos go hand in hand with a poor description .

There is nothing wrong with my email. I have been receiving mail there today. I just sent one to myself to test also. No issues.
