If your power supply has no light but the outlet is good, try disconnecting the supply cable and disconnect it from the xbox itself, wait over a minute and then connect everything back together. The light should return and power supply should be reset, and everything should be in good working order.
What if you do this and no light comes back? I've waited way more than a minute Maybe like hours with it just disconnected from wall and xbox and I just plugged it back in in a different outlet and still nothing and this outlet works does this mean I need a new one?
@@tolawright5607 disconnect everything, wait 5 min to be sure, then just plug in the power supply by it self to the outlet, if there is no orange light, your power supply likely has a blown fuse in it, your only option is to repair or replace it. If the orange light appears, then plug in the cable that goes into the xbox into the xbox itself, next plug that cable into the power supply. If the orange light goes white then shuts off, there is an issue with the console, it may need cleaning or repair. If the orange light goes right out, there are bad capacitors in the power supply and you only options are to repair or replace it, depending on you skill set this can be cheap to fix. Maybe you have a video game repair shop in your town, repairs are usually cheaper than replacing. I hope going through these steps solves the problem and you don't require repairs. Good luck.

My Xbox shut off mid Call of Duty Zombies match and the power supply light wasn’t on. I unplugged it from the extension cord (everything else plugged in was fine) and plugged into a different outlet then the light came on, moved it back to my extension and was working. Not sure if it overheated or what but this vid helped
Turns out the power brick went bad on me, so even if it has a steady light, try unplugging it from your wall and xbox and waiting until the light goes out, plug it back up and wait some more, if the light never comes back on, then buy a new brick

@@brandavies Well. it dont matter how many adapters you buy. Its a voltage regulator thats broken inside the xbox. I hooked mine up to a PC ATX PSU thats always on, after hooking up 12v to the 12v connectors and 5v to the 5v pin inside one of the connector, it started up as it should, when measure on the 5v pin out thats suppose to turn on the regular adapter it was 10v and not 5, so everytime you put a new adapter the 10v will damage your adapter. As long as you have 12v and 5v hooked up you can use it as normal. the 5v out is just for turning the 12v off.
My power supply had no light on it. I unplugged the power supply from the wall and the Xbox. Unplugged the cord that goes from the outlet to the power supply and grabbed the same cord that goes from the supply to the outlet from my 360 and plugged it in to the xb1 and the light came on. So I went back to the original Xbox 1 cord and it worked fine. So idk if it was the 5 min of being unplugged from everything or if the old Xbox cord woke it up. But it works fine now. Worth a shot if you guys are having troubles still

Try a different outlet first! If not it sounds like your power supply. See if you can try a friend's if you can to really find out if it is that.
