I'm coming to Russia next week, and I'm flying to Qatar and then Moscow. It's not that difficult. Just one stop. It's not hard to get a visa either, it took me 2 weeks after submitting the documents.
From Australia, Emirates is the way to go. If going to a regional city, their subsidiary FlyDubai is the way to go. Not as classy as Emirates, but they get you there safely.

We are gun lovers from Texas.... and we still don't feel comfortable raising our family there. It's true that we could go many other places in the world and have a decent life. It also varies greatly where you live in Russia. I don't know about rents, but I bought my eldest daughter an apartment in a small Russian town for A$50,000 (USD at the time 30,000). Food is cheaper than in Australia, but wages are lower, in this town. Ecuadorian bananas are cheaper than in Brisbane. I can buy steak here cheaper than Brisbane. Central heating in Winter is expensive, since I never had to pay for it anywhere in Australia. You need to compare like with like, but I could retire in Russia with a standard Australian pension and live well, just not in a major city. Luckily, I like small towns.

Russia has granted visa free 3 month visit to 48 African countries. There are plans of direct flights from Moscow to 5 African cities from 2026. Having an African passport has never been so advantageous!

You should write a book about immigration to Russia with all the info you bring to us here on your channel. I would easily buy it. Right now as I understand it it is not easy to use your bankcard if you come for just a visit to check Russia out before immigrate. I have a serious question. IF (hopefully it never happens) ww3 breaks out will it be possible to come to Russia as a refugee? And how does that work?
With the banking services, it's possible to bring some foreign cash, report it at the border crossing to avoid any further issues, convert it locally at a bank, local plastic can be issued within 30 minutes in Russia.

I would just love to visit. As beautiful as the Russian summers seem to be based on your videos, experiencing the Russian winter has always been the main attraction to me since I was a kid learning the countries of the world.

I imagine living there would be a challenge, but when you come from a mostly warm to hot area of the world, experiencing a true winter is exhilarating. Plus, you get to see all the rich history and culture and enjoy what you've learned about in school and college and see it come alive. That's been the case with other places I have traveled in my life.

When I see this I can imagine how it is for my wife who speaks also Russian . She is not a vlogger but for her it’s sometimes frustrating to make friends because not everyone speaks Russian . But she is well educated to speak other languages in my country. Sometimes she wish that she speak in her own language to somebody outside or the nayber. My favorite work is on a farm but in the united states you cannot support yourself on the wage farms pay. Someone told me that agricultural work pays better in europe. Is this true and are Russian farmers open to hiring foreigners? I have tried to find a farm job on avito with no luck. Not sure if you've done a video on this already, but it would be cool if you did a video on how people from abroad who are thinking of moving to Russia could bypass sanctions to get their money to and from the country. If you're lucky enough to work remotely, cost of living seems decent there on a moderate salary.

My major concern is - Being a South-African, I am really struggling to access websites on my side. I'm struggling to find out about employment, property for sale (small farm holdings) vehicle sales sites etc. Believe it's due to restrictions or something, that doesn't make sense as we are part of BRICS... For example - You can't find any prices of livestock or sites where livestock are available for sale... I am extremely worried about these things... What do you recommend ?

Of course you can rent a house or apartment. The problem you will have is that in Russia you are required to register at the address that you are residing at.,I recommend a Facebook group called Moscow Expats. You can put your question to the group and you’ll get answers from other foreigners in the group.

It is not worth moving right away, but just to come and see how people live in another country is definitely a good experience, there are places much better than Russia, but it is more expensive to live there, know what makes me happy? Only those people who like the country and people, or at least those who are neutral, come here to Russia. The world media has weeded out those who are hostile.

Do you need to learn Russian before applying for a Visa? Have been watching other shows on youtube on newly settled Canadians….they talked about learning the language to be able to pass a test.
Honestly, the downsides seem similar to living in the US (we’re no more saints on the global stage than Russia is) and there actually seems to be more benefits than we have here in the US.
Access to government services is similar in Canada, both online and in person BUT in Ontario the government moved the in person service into Staples, a big US office supply company and the service has dropped considerably. Our provincial government is so corrupt in Ontario. At times capitalism sucks.
Sam, apply for Russian passport. You will be able to participate in russian election process and even maybe get some government job for promoting or protecting Russia's interests. You are smart, friendly energetic fellow. The government need people like you.

What is health care like in Russia how does it work ?? Cause here in Canada 🇨🇦 our taxes pay for it and well it is not so great .There are alot of Canadians without a family doctor and there are times were the emergency department of hospitals have to close for a day or 2 because of being short staffed There are people dieing because they are not being seen in time as well.. The amount we Canadians have to pay in taxes is not worth it health care sucks , roads /infrastructure sucks it hardly taken care of , the devision the federal government has caused among Canadian people is sad. When I see this I can imagine how it is for my wife who speaks also Russian . She is not a vlogger but for her it’s sometimes frustrating to make friends because not everyone speaks Russian . But she is well educated to speak other languages in my country. Sometimes she wish that she speak in her own language to somebody outside or the nayber. Thank you for the videos you make, I love all the helpful information. I am just starting the process of moving to Russia. My favorite work is on a farm but in the united states you cannot support yourself on the wage farms pay. Someone told me that agricultural work pays better in europe. Is this true and are Russian farmers open to hiring foreigners? I have tried to find a farm job on avito with no luck. It may be the wording I use but there have to be some jobs out there so I can ask. Thank you again for being so generous with your time and effort and God bless.

Not sure if you've done a video on this already, but it would be cool if you did a video on how people from abroad who are thinking of moving to Russia could bypass sanctions to get their money to and from the country.
If you're lucky enough to work remotely, cost of living seems decent there on a moderate salary.

You can fly direct from Europe, Belgrade- Srbia to Moscow. Takes cca 3 hours.
One big question though- what would you do in Russia? Unless you have a lot of money and are retiring, what job would you find without speaking Russian? Don't forget the cheap prices are cheap due to the exchange rate not if you earn Rubles.

Hey Sam, me and my wife are planning on moving to Russia next year. Once in Russia, we want to apply for residency under the Shared Values Visa... My major concern is - Being a South-African, I am really struggling to access websites on my side. I'm struggling to find out about employment, property for sale (small farm holdings) vehicle sales sites etc. Believe it's due to restrictions or something, that doesn't make sense as we are part of BRICS... For example - You can't find any prices of livestock or sites where livestock are available for sale... I am extremely worried about these things... What do you recommend ?

I am wanting to go to Russia for the first time to visit and check it out (before just moving to)-I know you understand this way of doing it. 1) Visa and Passport 2)Get to Russia by some flight through Turkey (I am thinking is the best or only way). 3) This is where I need help, I plan to stay for 4-6wks, so I dont want to stay at some Hilton or type hotels and pay $100-$150 night. Of course you can rent a house or apartment. The problem you will have is that in Russia you are required to register at the address that you are residing at.,I recommend a Facebook group called Moscow Expats. You can put your question to the group and you’ll get answers from other foreigners in the group.

It is not worth moving right away, but just to come and see how people live in another country is definitely a good experience, there are places much better than Russia, but it is more expensive to live there, know what makes me happy? Only those people who like the country and people, or at least those who are neutral, come here to Russia. The world media has weeded out those who are hostile.

Do you need to learn Russian before applying for a Visa? Have been watching other shows on youtube on newly settled Canadians….they talked about learning the language to be able to pass a test.
This is for the residency permit. You get a visa you don’t need to know Russian 🇷🇺
Honestly, the downsides seem similar to living in the US (we’re no more saints on the global stage than Russia is) and there actually seems to be more benefits than we have here in the US.

Access to government services is similar in Canada, both online and in person BUT in Ontario the government moved the in person service into Staples, a big US office supply company and the service has dropped considerably. Our provincial government is so corrupt in Ontario. At times capitalism sucks.
Sam, apply for Russian passport. You will be able to participate in russian election process and even maybe get some government job for promoting or protecting Russia's interests. You are smart, friendly energetic fellow. The government need people like you.

What is health care like in Russia how does it work ?? Cause here in Canada 🇨🇦 our taxes pay for it and well it is not so great .There are alot of Canadians without a family doctor and there are times were the emergency department of hospitals have to close for a day or 2 because of being short staffed There are people dieing because they are not being seen in time as well..
The amount we Canadians have to pay in taxes is not worth it health care sucks , roads /infrastructure sucks it hardly taken care of , the devision the federal government has caused among Canadian people is sad.
