This is borderline infuriating. "We don't use double joints on our female figures because they look awful" REALLY HASBRO!? I'm pretty sure those double jointed arms look a million times better than the ones you put on it originally!! Thanks for sharing the mod, not only does it fix the limited female articulation, but also the overall look of the figure. I wonder.... Would it work for lady Thor?
Being a MU collector, I find that bullshit as well since they look absolutely fine on the MU She Hulk and Valkyrie mold, so what sense does it make to give the six standard engineering fit for a 3 3/4 standard?
Sorry man. I thought I could do it but I couldn't. I couldn't sacrifice a perfectly good Star Wars black Luke for a Legends Elektra. It's a sad world when a poor farm boy has to give up his arms for the daughter of a rich aristocrat.
Well, when you put it THAT way, haha. I have the SWBS Luke that came with the SDCC Landspeeder as backup, and then the SHF as my main display figure. This Luke was just wasting away as it was.
There's like a hundred Black Series Luke's over at my Walmart both the box and vintage card. Discounted as well If I ever get an Elektra I just might do this.
Thanks very much for this video! I successfully made this modification today. I also fitted Elektra’s arms on Luke’s torso, and since they’re covered with his tunic, there’s no need to discard poor old Luke.
So cool! Thanks for showing the ins and outs of this mod. I would've figured Luke would have the disk-style shoulder attachment that most Legends have. Glad it's not!
Glad you posted this video for people also big thanks for the shout on instagram Robo really appreaciate it :) also keep up the good work brotha and I'm serious one if these days I need to post my collect and do figure photography on instagram lol just curses my phone camera is horrible and the rest of my collection is in storage
Today on "Figures Modding with Robo"... ;) I still gotta thank you for the Marvel Select Destroyer one, that was a huge help to improve the figure's mobility.
Thank you to everyone who mentioned this and especially to whoever came up with this, such a great mod, for every and all female figures! Now I need to find the figure to mod She-Hulk's arms and legs; any ideas? And as always, thank you Robo for such great info and enthusiasm, always appreciated.
Hmmm, I can't think of anything for She-Hulk, but I don't have her either. Gotta think you won't get out of having to paint the skin green though. And no, thank you, I'm glad you dig me horsing around and just having fun on here, makes it even more fun for me.
It looks great. Nice and streamlined. It doesn't look like the old female legends where double jointed arms looked horrible. Hopefully marvel legends looks at this and sees it can work.
oh man I have both of those! got the Luke so I could put his outfit on joker and the figure has just been sitting around now I have a use for it! thanks!
I remember sitting in the car on a 4 hour ride last year when I got my elektra just messing around with it thinking about getting home and doing this mod when I got home it was the first thing I did it took just over half an hour and we didn’t have hot water that night but it was worth it
Thats a nice simple mod Robo. The arms do still look a little on the buff side for electra but at least they look consistent now and a lot better than the original ones the figure came with, plus they have better articulation. I think Mary Jane's arms would probably look better or there are probably other sets of arms that could be painted to fit the figure better but Farmboy Luke is way cheaper and easier to find. I wonder if the A new Hope Leia arms fit this figure or if they are just too small.
Leia's are way smaller and don't look right, as far as I can tell. And yeah, ML's arms would work but you still have the limited range in the elbows. Which I'm good with on MJ and Polaris, but Elektra is more of a fighter. Gotta get those bends!
I FINALLY did it! As a bonus, now that Luke has her Mavel Legends arms, I still have my teenage Peter Parker head and now have a comic style Marvel Legends Luke Skywalker!
Just completed this mod with my ekektra, it works perfectly. thank you for sharing this idea. but i'm wondering if the black series princes leia's arm works better? since it is female arm. i don't have that figure though.
No idea, the way these things travel across Facebook and Instagram and forums now it's way too hard to pin down the original source. Someone way more smarter than me though, haha.
That's too bad, I'm doing a custom Mary Jane with Jessica Jones body, Elektras arms, and black widows head. The Little things on the wrists annoyed me at first but I suppose they could be used as bracelets. Thanks anyway Robo
Good for Elektra not so good for Sexy Luke. Might try this if I can find another Luke on sale I only have one Tatooine Luke and I'm not butchering that up.
If you can't drill out the cuffs from the original arms, some figures like Rogue have similar cuffs that are removable. You might just have to paint them black.
I have both those figures and I'm definitely trying that mod later tonight. From the video it looks like Elektra has a slightly darker skin tone than Luke, but hopefully it's not as noticeable in person. Either way, I'm totally doing this. Thanks for the great idea!
You're right. I did the mod last night, and it was incredibly easy. I boiled a pot of water (much easier than a heat gun, especially since I don't own a heat gun) and the arms popped off and Luke's arms popped onto Elektra's torso with no problems at all. The only really tricky part was getting Elektra's gloves/cuff things from her original arms over to the new Luke arms. I boiled the Elektra arms for about 30 seconds (after removing them from the torso) and used an x-acto knife to slice off the glove sections. Then, because I don't own a Dremel tool, I used a power drill to make a big enough opening for the gloves to slip over Luke's wrists. Then pop on Elektra's hands (which also fit perfectly) and voila, now she's perfect. Thanks again for the great idea!
Yup, I even mention that boiling water would probably work a little better because it'll give it a more even heat all the way around at the same time. Glad it worked out and that you dig it! It makes the figure so much better.
This was an awesome mod, I actually modded mine today. Fantastic job man, absolutely fantastic. Also, will this mod work for the comic version of elektra?
Now the real question is can her arms fit on Luke? Haha great video as always man keep up the fantastic work. Can't wait for the last Jedi bs to come out
From what I understand, the hinge and swivel is more aesthetically pleasing with it's lack of pegholes and less cuts into the front of the arms. Pffffft.
Heck just adjust it for different sizes. Spider-girl desperately needs double joined arms. Also on Elektra's arms being buff, that makes sense since she's an assassin, she probably lifts weights.
cool, i think i'd rather have the big forearms though than big shoulders. but this just show that hasbro can give us more articulated arms for female figs. they really choose not to.
This is borderline infuriating.
"We don't use double joints on our female figures because they look awful"
REALLY HASBRO!? I'm pretty sure those double jointed arms look a million times better than the ones you put on it originally!!
Thanks for sharing the mod, not only does it fix the limited female articulation, but also the overall look of the figure.
I wonder.... Would it work for lady Thor?
I don't see why not, although I haven't actually opened mine and I don't know if that left bracer is a separate piece.
Being a MU collector, I find that bullshit as well since they look absolutely fine on the MU She Hulk and Valkyrie mold, so what sense does it make to give the six standard engineering fit for a 3 3/4 standard?
Best part was the music during the heating process! Got me pumped to go home and do this myself.
Haha, much better than the stock heat gun sound.
Sorry man. I thought I could do it but I couldn't. I couldn't sacrifice a perfectly good Star Wars black Luke for a Legends Elektra. It's a sad world when a poor farm boy has to give up his arms for the daughter of a rich aristocrat.

If I ever get an Elektra I just might do this.
Now I regret not picking up an extra $5 Luke from Kohl's.
Oh man, now I gotta hit Kohls, see if I can stock up.
Man poor Luke just cannot hold onto those appendages... Lol.
Heh, I may have to find some use for the legs or torso next, just make it a running gag.
Hah
I bought a KO Luke off ebay just to do this mod. This was really easy and came out great
Yeah, I still dig how it came out, loving it. Didn't think about a KO though, dang it.
thanks for showing the process.. a lot mention the heat and pop technique and dremel but it's really helpful to see how it's done right.
Someone needs to put out tutorials, just step by steps going through the whole process and why.
Thanks very much for this video! I successfully made this modification today. I also fitted Elektra’s arms on Luke’s torso, and since they’re covered with his tunic, there’s no need to discard poor old Luke.
Dang, I didn't even think about that.
Great mod, the figure looks way better with those arms! Thanksfor sharing!
Luke: Damn you Hasbro! I was only supposed to lose a hand in Empire. Now I'm losing both arms?!
I loved watching this video. Customs are something that I personally don't have the skill for but it's super interesting to watch other people do it.
It's been such a long time since I've done any customizing, forgot how fun it is. May have to do more.
I was so hoping you would show a picture with Chewbacca holding Luke's arms near a chess board....
I really wish I had thought of that.
The new CEO of Hasbro marvel legends line
So cool! Thanks for showing the ins and outs of this mod. I would've figured Luke would have the disk-style shoulder attachment that most Legends have. Glad it's not!
This video is almost a month old and I just now finally got around to trying this! Came out fantastic! Thank you so much for this pro tip!
When one of your fave reviewers gives you a shout out *achievment unlocked*
good job bro. I didn't like the big forearms either so I painted cool black arm sleeves on them so they are not noticeable.
Really nice mod. I hope we get to see more.
You convinced me to buy an Elektra and Farmboy Luke now 🙏. My articulated icon ninjas require a worthy leader.
Oh, man after my own heart. I think I'm going to need a few more Lukes...
i do some customizing myself and i really like this one well done sir
Glad you posted this video for people also big thanks for the shout on instagram Robo really appreaciate it :) also keep up the good work brotha and I'm serious one if these days I need to post my collect and do figure photography on instagram lol just curses my phone camera is horrible and the rest of my collection is in storage
Today on "Figures Modding with Robo"... ;)
I still gotta thank you for the Marvel Select Destroyer one, that was a huge help to improve the figure's mobility.
I need to do this more often, I always forget how fun it is to just tear into a figure.
ELEKTRA WAS IN SEASON 2
nice mod and video
Did I say she wasn't? Thanks!
this is too perfect, looks like I'm gonna have to boy two lukes
Thank you to everyone who mentioned this and especially to whoever came up with this, such a great mod, for every and all female figures! Now I need to find the figure to mod She-Hulk's arms and legs; any ideas? And as always, thank you Robo for such great info and enthusiasm, always appreciated.

I LOVE the music you put when you are using the heat dryer ImI
I wish it actually played like that when I doing the original work, haha!
Luke Skywalker, like father like son.
Elektra had the high ground.
Awesome!!!
Now Elektra looks so much better with that mod Robo!
oh man I have both of those! got the Luke so I could put his outfit on joker and the figure has just been sitting around now I have a use for it! thanks!
Always glad to find use of that extra body lying around, you're welcome!
I've seen quite a few people recommend Polaris' arms for this, and the advantage to that is that they'll have more appropriate proportions.
I can see that, Polaris' arms are leaner and trim, but you still end up with the hinge and swivel at the elbow.
I remember sitting in the car on a 4 hour ride last year when I got my elektra just messing around with it thinking about getting home and doing this mod when I got home it was the first thing I did it took just over half an hour and we didn’t have hot water that night but it was worth it
It brings a smile to my face to see someone find a use for a terrible (except the sculpt and paint on the boots) figure like BS farmboy Luke.
I dont have the figure yet but this will definately help me when i get it . Thanks
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO DO THIS!!!! THANK YOU
this has me more excited to pick up Electra. Gonna have to keep my eyes open for Lukes. Wonder if Leia would work, I seem to find her easier.
Her arms a bit smaller, I don't think they would fit nearly as well.
Awesome video and great improvement on the figure
This is the same Luke as the 40th Anniversary correct? It's going fairly cheap on Ebay right now.
Yup, same figure.
Awesome. I'll keep this in mine on my toy hunts
Cool. I actually have a second scrap Luke too.
I FINALLY did it! As a bonus, now that Luke has her Mavel Legends arms, I still have my teenage Peter Parker head and now have a comic style Marvel Legends Luke Skywalker!
Hey Robo, do you think that the Princess Leia's arms would work for smaller (teenage sized) female Marvel Legends?
I think they would, but what body would you use?
Black and white SpiderGirl, or the KO BAF Jubilee (aren't they the same?)...
What would the Luke look like w Elektras shortened arms
Just completed this mod with my ekektra, it works perfectly. thank you for sharing this idea. but i'm wondering if the black series princes leia's arm works better? since it is female arm. i don't have that figure though.
Those arms are smaller than the Luke's, they would look undersized and wouldn't fit together as well.
I need to do this to my elektra figure
Sorry for a bit late but can her lower arm (from the elbow down) be detached? Just asking because I have some ideas...
Its so odd seeing a female ML with double jointed arms lol Great video any idea of who first did this?
No idea, the way these things travel across Facebook and Instagram and forums now it's way too hard to pin down the original source. Someone way more smarter than me though, haha.
Will these arms work with one of the smaller ML females like X23 or Spider girl?
Can I have a link to the metal song used whenever the heat gun is used?
Wat a great idea....imma have to do this now
I think I'm going to have to do this now. Thanks :-)
Totally worth it.
Now what does Luke look like with Elektra's arms? 🤔
Haha, I quickly tried that, the mushroom peg on Elektra's shoulders are bigger, don't go as nicely into Luke's torso as the other way around did.
Come on Hasbro, give female figures double jointed elbows!!!!!
If I had the Luke and had some extra fabric clothing, I would've turned him into a Peter Parker. MCU or Comic
Are the pegs for Elektra arms ruined now? Can you no longer put in hands (Elektras hands) to her original arms?
I could piece it back together if I had to but I haven't even considered it.
That's too bad, I'm doing a custom Mary Jane with Jessica Jones body, Elektras arms, and black widows head. The Little things on the wrists annoyed me at first but I suppose they could be used as bracelets. Thanks anyway Robo
Ohhhhh! That's why Luke throw like a girl!
Nice video man. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Fwoosh, would this work for the claire temple 2 pack figure?
I used that Elektra for a Hope Summers kitbash
Good for Elektra not so good for Sexy Luke. Might try this if I can find another Luke on sale I only have one Tatooine Luke and I'm not butchering that up.
If you can't drill out the cuffs from the original arms, some figures like Rogue have similar cuffs that are removable. You might just have to paint them black.
Very true, that's a great idea.
Thanks for this.
Would it work with the Leia arms?? Or are they too small in comparison to Elektra??
Yea Leia's arms are way too skinny and small
Androu Luc I thought they may be.
I have both those figures and I'm definitely trying that mod later tonight. From the video it looks like Elektra has a slightly darker skin tone than Luke, but hopefully it's not as noticeable in person. Either way, I'm totally doing this.

Love your videos robo!
Thanks man, I appreciate that!
Pretty cool.
This was an awesome mod, I actually modded mine today. Fantastic job man, absolutely fantastic. Also, will this mod work for the comic version of elektra?
Was thinking the same thing!! Anw, thanks so much for posting this video. Cheers
hey man do you have any idea if, will the arms of Black Series farmboy Luke Skywalker fit for the arm swap as well?
These are the Black Series Farmboy Luke arms. The only difference between it and the Speeder Luke is the head.
Weird, normally I use ML figures to enhance the black series... this feels wrong but right. Do Elektra's arms fit Luke? Great vid!
Her pegs flair out larger so it's not as easy to just plug in, but with a little carving I bet they will .
Now the real question is can her arms fit on Luke? Haha great video as always man keep up the fantastic work. Can't wait for the last Jedi bs to come out
I actually did try to peg her arms into Luke's torso but the mushrooms were too big, didn't want to put that much work into it, haha.
does the skin tone match?
It's just slightly off but it's close enough.
That's why I don't understand why can't they make double jointed female elbows, because it looks nice
From what I understand, the hinge and swivel is more aesthetically pleasing with it's lack of pegholes and less cuts into the front of the arms. Pffffft.
Where did the bandanna come from?? Mine didn't have that
Thomas Maresca he said he got it from a Silk figure that came out last year
This was awesome
who else when seeing that thumbnail checked their figure thinking it was official
Do more of these
I forgot how fun they are, I'm definitely going to more.
brb gotta go fix elektra
Should’ve been the end season 2 Daredevil Electra costume
Is it possible to modify the arms on the Netflix punisher?
Ash Ketchum where am I going to find the arms to swap with the punisher?
Ash Ketchum the body mold Nick Fury uses sucks, but if which Star Lord figure are talking about?
Nice one
someone should cast the arms from luke so that it doesn't get difficult just for a pair of arms?
She got wypipo arms now
How long does it take to heat the plastic?
Not very long at all. Well, with the heat gun. A hair dryer may take a bit longer.
If you don't have a heat gun, what else can I use? Or just buy a heat gun
the guy on the couch x Hair dryer works well if you don't have a heat gun.
Boiling water is good
Thank you
Yeah, heat gun is only faster, you don't actually need as much heat as it puts out. Hair dryer works fine.
Man I really wish the female figures had double jointed arms. Just reuse the arms from the pretty boy Luke HASBRO!
Heck just adjust it for different sizes. Spider-girl desperately needs double joined arms.
Also on Elektra's arms being buff, that makes sense since she's an assassin, she probably lifts weights.
.. what are the odd I can find Farmboy..
I just saw one at Walgreens yesterday, and he's also in the recently released 40th anniversary wave. Should be TOO hard. Maybe.
True. I found one at gamestop. Not sure I wanna spend $24 to butcher a guy for his arms though lol
Haha, yeah, that makes it a bit more tough.
If only that music played whenever you turned on the heat gun instead of the annoying sound it normally makes
You’re the man robo
I like
Eluketra
I see what you did there. Took me a minute, but now I see it.
cool, i think i'd rather have the big forearms though than big shoulders. but this just show that hasbro can give us more articulated arms for female figs. they really choose not to.
:D
Oh somebody really should show this to Hasbro so you can stop making them damn swivel hinge elbows for females they suck.
