man, your advice on actually listening to the tune is spot on. i dont understand why people ask for up down up down. just FEEL IT you're a great teacher. fair play
Justin, i'd just like to say thank you for really helping me on the guitar.Apart from being a superb guitarist and teacher, you also have the ability to speak directly to me as person, and your guidance is extra-ordinarily perceptive and insightful.I don't often comment on UA-cam clips, but I have learned so many tunes from you, I'd just like to say a big thank-you!Keep the faith, and continue to set a fantastic example.Dave-M
I am a recording singer/songwriter and I dare say Justin you are a really good teacher, man!Your way is fantastic and most encouraging for people to learn how to play and enjoy music
Just got myself a guitar and watched this lesson many time's and picked up this excellent song quite quickly thanks to this guy. I'll be coming back for more!!!
This was fantastic. I took up guitar in part so I could learn to play Weller's songs. But I haven't been able to figure get the right rhythm until you layed it out here. Your discussion about getting the feel together and how to develop as a player was really helpful.
Thanks Justin.I keep watching and rewatching this lesson. Really enjoy it and I'm improving (there was PLENTY of scope from the outset ! And there still is) but probably most importantly my confidence has increased. I know that following your tuition that I'll be able to play/sing this tremendous number to an ever improving level.I'm actually enjoying "the learning" (that's a new experience for me) and day by day piecing more and more together.Although I'm solely concentrating upon "Wild Wood" for the present, I'll be checking out your other lessons too.Once again, thanks.
Awesome thank you, spending the first few days on A minor 😀 Learnt classical guitar with theory in the 70s. Always wanted to strum, easier than it looks. Thanks again.
Thanks as always Justin, Because of this I've now bought your acoustic song book (getting quite a collection) having the book and the video makes it all so easy. cheers dude.
I fully agree with you upon music is about listening and feeling, not only technical performance ! Thank you so much for all your work, it's amazing !! I'm playing guitar for one year now, I've bought your Beginner Songbook for Xmas. It's really really good work. It keeps me motivated to learn and progress. Cheers from Belgium !!!
Very good lesson again, Justin. Would be cool if you could do "Above the Clouds" as well. It's got really nice chords in it and the way it's strummed could be very interesting to learn for your students :)
I would love to have some xavier rudd songs if you feel like it anytime! I know hes playing alot with a Weissenborn guitar but an adapatation on guitar for beginners would make me really happy! Anyway keep up the good work Justin, you are definately an amazing teacher and without you I would of never played guitar. Much love.
Cheers man. In Shanghai looking through the hundreds of songs you have, do you have a simple link to a song book or list? Because looking through every song you have done is nuts. Great voice and amazing playing
i've been watching loads of these one after the other. you look NO DIFFERENT in your most recent uploads to the ones from years ago, wtf man why don't you age?!
I like a lot the sound of your Maton.. what's the name of this model? And what kind of strings do you usually use? Thanks, fantastic lesson as always, greetings from Italy :)
Would be great for you to play the song through (when possible) after the lesson Justin. A great help for an 'owld muppet like me! P.s. Love the lessons.
hey just a suggestion lol but if you do teach a neil young song could you do a good version of Helpless, been looking for one forever. fav song of all time. thx
Amazing video, I really like Weller and I just got an acoustic guitar, so I'll be struggling with it as soon as I get home. Could you do an acoustic version of Half The World Away by Oasis? I think it would make for a great beginner's song. (not so Joke option: Bad Romance by Lady GaGa, but I think I've made this joke before :P )
sup justin im trien to teach my kids guitar my strat is a bit heavy for them. any idea's to turn a mic stand into a guitar stand i ben looking all over the net to buy 1. tesla has 1 on "what you give" music video. im not really sure what im looking for maybe you can help thanks.

Hey Justin are you going to post your 15 minutes lesson of The A Team by Ed Sheeran which you couldn't upload due to the time length by splitting the video into 2 parts?
Hey ho Justin - thank you really very much: I just completed my first session - and ja! The thing I'm currently producing here with my guitar *reminds me* of the original song...and will surely get better from day to day! :) * In case you're bored or else went out of songs: could you (or somebody else with a "professional ear") tell me the chords of this song here: thelongwives.bandcamp.com/track/odd-funerals-for-new-beasts-single -- would highly appreciate it, yes! (...I have no clue at all..just started learning chords...listening...and kinda "distinguishing" them..) Thanks a lot!
Thanks for this, really easy to follow and informative video. So much so I've just recored a cover of it on my channel! Check it out if you get chance :)
The reason no-one does Neil Young songs my friend is because you'd need to get your bollocks removed to hit the high notes. Only kiddin' , Neil is the man.

It's called being positive!
Justin is kind of a guitar highlander , he won't age for the next 250 years . As long as there are songs to show to us ...
Thank you.
I like a lot the sound of your Maton.. what's the name of this model?
And what kind of strings do you usually use?

You know, with a D being the root, you could call that chord Dm7-5 (D minor 7th diminished 5th). Still a mouthful, but less so.
hey just a suggestion lol but if you do teach a neil young song could you do a good version of Helpless, been looking for one forever. fav song of all time. thx

Dude
I've got a maton ECW80 C. I sleep with it. The only way I'll let go of guitar is if someone prizes it off my dying hands
slap head !!

Where tf has my capo gone?
Good but blooming slow it down. It’s not a race...
can you do a lesson with out singing plz hahaha
Never buy this type of capo
Should your guitar fall face first to the floor the capo placement snaps the neck of your poor guitar
Far too quick!
Too complicated
Just stick to your guitar playing justin lol
Just try not to rude to people you don’t know lee lol
maybe learn the name of the strings if your going to teach guitar???
