Scammers should be tossed and followed up on, just as they can see if a bad seller tries to sign up, again.
With all the porch thieves and the cause of "did not received," by any postal or delivery service shroud not be blamed on the seller. I think we need to get together and file a class action suit against eBay on this issue.

I agree a class action law suit is in order. eBay wouldn’t be the first ones to receive this law suit. Other platforms have and the sellers won. The other platforms quickly changed their policies to make sense for both buyer and seller. I think from what I have heard about eBay sellers keep taking it then they will keep dishing it.

I fully believe there are way more bad buyers than sellers. This is going to hit auto parts sellers hard. I wonder how many will be able to survive or just leave.
I've only had a handful of bad buyers. The latest one I sold them a white shirt. They wiped fake tan or something all over it, then opened an inad to return it. Said it came like that. I gave them back half of the item cost and kept the shipping. They are a seller with atrocious feedback who literally takes photos of clothes on their filthy kitchen floor. The dumbass is new and hasn't yet learnt they should have a separate account for buying. Especially if they're going to scam people.
@@silverfoxfinance Even though they have the guaranteed fit auto program now I still don't believe they'll have the sellers back. I've watched many channels and seen eBay side too many times in the buyers favor when it clearly was the buyer's fault. Time will tell.
It just doesn't seem like it is worth it to sell on these platforms. Buyers know they can lie and get whatever they want because ebay doesn't care about sellers. I orderd an item, I never got it, the post office lost it. My seller followed up the best he could. It was not his fault. I gave him a good review for trying. I just feel like the rules arent applied fairly. If i buy or sell anything, I'm honest, but many aren't.
@@emusaurus Yes they are few and far between, but it only takes those few to have your account suspended! If you fall below 4.8 in your service metrics then say goodbye to your sales. No retail business is perfect but appears with ebay you need to be 100% as 0.1% is below standard according to ebay..LOL It's another fee grabbing tactic so higher FVF's can be applied for falling below standard. The fact that Neutral feedback is being used to evaluate and negate your service metrics is even worse as some buyers leave neutral feedback for good buying experiences, but it's neutral so should not even be considered.
I think that for most of us sellers who do what we are supposed to do that this won't make a huge difference. However, this is a bit stressful for us full time sellers because it feels like with every update that eBay is tightening the rope and that it is becoming more easy to have your account restricted. Earlier this week we had our first Vero strike ever and we have completed thousands of sales, and the reason was parallel importing to the EU through the global shipping program. Ultimately we decided to stop shipping entirely to Europe to avoid this happening again. The Vero made us realize that it's time for us to start investing more time into other sales channels because 75% of our sales come from eBay, and they can cut us off completely at any time.
@@jonm4802 I wouldn't think you'd get banned for one infraction. I would think that by the time ebay banned someone it would be after at least a few warnings
@@jonm4802 What makes you think one ding is going to cause a problem? It says all over the page "higher than the peer market average" so it shouldn't be a problem unless you are markedly worse than all the other sellers out there.
I already got hit with this. I received a negative review a couple weeks ago because the buyer received a crushed box and their item was damaged. It was a heavy duty thick box too, I had no control over this. I immediately gave a refund offer another item free and a discount. eBay representative told me it was still the buyers experience, regardless if it was my fault or not and they would t remove the negative review. Good video !! Ally-sells-it-all
Same happened to me. A scam buyer keeps the perfume for TWO WEEKS and then suddenly decides it "does not smell right", demands a refund, and leavesan UNFAIR negative. It will be a cold day in hell before eBay removes a seller's UNFAIR negative feedback no matter how unfair it is. Sick to death of eBay and their rotten unfair policies!
Personally I'm starting an exit strategy from all of my ebay stores. I've toyed with the idea of maybe selling only small dollar amount niche market items, but honestly I'd like to walk away altogether. Many of their ways just are not conducive to the growth of my business model.
Who remembers looking through their feedback years ago and seeing every fourth buyer as "no longer registered" ? Not any more ...... buyers get to do whatever the hell they like are allowed to keep on doing it
I hope they realize that this is going to generate a lot of CSR calls because I will no longer let INADS, neutral feedbacks, etc go. I will start calling and fighting every single one of these because it dings my store now. I still plan on shutting down my store in the next 6 months. This just confirms that move. Again, a lot of moves against bad sellers, but none against bad buyers.
Thanks for the info. The only part that seems off to me is the item not received. If I properly pack the item and give it to USPS that is as much as I can do. A seller shouldn’t get dinged because USPS lost a package or porch pirates snagged it. Hopefully they will give some grace there as well.
INR has me concerned. Just today on local FB groups there were 6 people asking others to check porches for mis-delivered packages. Will we still get dinged even if we show tracking and item was delivered? Sellers do not control inept delivery service that cannot read addresses.
@@retiredandsassy I've no idea but the buyer isn't going to be happy and I'd expect a neutral or negative feedback which could affect those metrics. Not to mention the hassle of dealing with a claim and chasing the courier for compensation.
It has been my experience- that people ( buyers) have learned that using item not as described Gets them a free return. You could have written a whole book....and they still get away with not enough descriptions 😢😅
It's horrible that they're going to restrict/ban people based on past performance with no notice. If it's a 12 week lookback period, they should give more than 2 weeks (or less for sellers not paying attention) notice. Maybe even the full 12 weeks. And, especially to do this during the holidays. Especially INR's counting despite tracking showing delivery is upsetting.
well ebay also needs to fix stuff from their end as well. I sell 100s of trading cards a week and I can't tell you how frustrating it can be when over 20% of that stupid ebay standard envelope tracking doesnt ever get a scan and buyers take advantage and claim INR even though they got the item but know how to work the ebay system for their advantage. another thing is the doesnt fit type return. I sell a ton of boat engine parts in ebay motors and since a lot of parts interchange with different years and models buyers never ask questions and just purchase the item since I offer buyer pays return shipping and they click the doesnt fit reason when they want to return a item they had no idea would fit or not in the first place.
Yep many things are being taken advantage but they don't care. The 3rd party shipping for cards under 20 are notorious for some reason never showing delivered. It's like a scheme and now when I see it pop up I refuse to send and cancel the order.
Problem is he only made an assumption because of the export.eBay.com url. If he had something concrete backing it up I will revise this video immediately. I mentioned this to everyone I have spoken to and while they had no answer to why this was posted on that site and not under help and contact, they all told me this is going to be implemented for all sellers on the 11th. Time will tell but be prepared.
Although I don't like "wacky" thumbnails on UA-cam, you always have good info in your vids. Thanks for keeping us updated. I would have never known about this.
Tech spoke to the actual text of the policy in the first part of the video and the other 3/4 of it was discussion around the policy to be fair. But thank you for watching!
For the “end item” just don’t send any offers for 48 hours, then do the end item if you’re worried about it. I don’t think the rep had that correct. Of course, ending an auction would be negative, but offers aren’t guaranteed. It says so right on the offer! Watchers have zero to do with sales, that’s just window shopping most of the time. I do it daily and I would stop today if I knew that was hurting sellers. Used to be having watchers was positive, but in the past few years it didn’t effect anything since the count was often off.
Same here - I get watchers all the time. So, if I get an actual sale on that same item from another platform, so be it. Not going to lose a sale because somebody can't decide.
Is eBay trying to clean up their reputation with buyers? Or is eBay looking for reasons to delete listings and thin down the number of listings? Or both? Either way yet again eBay is making big changes during 4th quarter, this better not impact servers on the platform because we need everything to be working smoothly so we can make money. This has already been a terrible year for glitches on the platform.
Most concerning is item not received. USPS lost two of my packages this month should have been delivered two weeks ago they can’t find them. One buyer opened a case and the other buyer was patient. I ended up refunding them both. How is it my fault that they lost the packages!!!!
@@la6136 Exactly, had to file two claims with USPS hopefully they will send me a check for the loss. If eBay did like Posh & Mercari I wouldn’t have to file any claims. This has been a long process very stressful!
I can see what they're doing, but I believe they're going over the top. This is gonna drive more people away from me babe. I had no negative feedback for over a year. I got four this week who would know
I've never gotten neutral/negative feedback and rarely got returns (I do offer free returns though) but the last few weeks have been nuts. I got 2 neutrals for the fit of the item despite my measurements, 1 person agreed to change it and the other was prideful and started claiming the item was shrunk although it was just vintage. I've had multiple people say an item wasn't received even though tracking shows delivered. And I've had more returns than ever. Now my sales are slipping and I can't help but think it's these buyers who don't reference the measurements then return or leave neutral feedback. It doesn't seem fair when I literally provide a 100% satisfaction guarantee and yet my account can still be harmed. These buyers blame me for how an item fits as though I'm the manufacturer 🤦♀️
@@Justme0528 I wish I could tell buyers like this "maybe you just gained weight" 😂There are many buyers who are in denial and don't know what their size is. I had to talk a woman out of buying a dress from me because she was definitely a bigger size but really thought she could fit a size XS. I told her NO please do not buy this you will not be happy!
I think this is really going to hurt a lot of small time sellers like myself. I have let my store dwindle down this past year. Was going to ramp back up after the holidays, but now I will be stressed out and more anxiety ridden waiting for Ebay to punish me more for bad buyer behavior.
I do not expect to have problems with this. In fact, I agree that it should happen. I do have a problem with one of the punitive measures Ebay would impose in this. This measure is the one that says that Ebay would withhold payments. Bad seller or good seller aside. Once a transaction is completed, the money is not Ebays. It belongs to the seller. For Ebay to hold money for an item sold on their platform could be considered theft. All other punitive measures proposed I totally agree with and perhaps more should be applied to bad sellers.
Like Jon, Not liking the "Not received " part. Given the track record of the shipping companies and the USPS there can be lots of hits to sellers due to impatient buyers when the fault lies with the operations of the shipping companies. Also for car parts, the "Does not fit vehicle metric" is a joke. Most of the time it is the buyer buying the wrong part!, lol. The good news is there are other platforms. So glad to not depend solely on ebay. Seems like the reason to sell on ebay to not participate in "normal" micro managing and rat race of a 9-5 is becoming obsolete. It does not have to go down like this. How about a "BSE" (Better seller Experience) ?
Amazon has this same exact type of system for years, they're obviously copying them. Unless you're a bad seller, there's nothing to worry about. The best vendors are still always going to get dings showing up on this dashboard due to frivilous buyer remorse and you will have to actually acknowledge them
They have always had a version of this. It was mostly effected by returns before. I has three returns in a row, just a few hours apart and my account fell below standard for whole year. The returns were all shoes and “didn’t fit” was the option. It did effect my shoe sales for the entire year. Now more items will be used to evaluate sellers on. I think the new policy should be less punitive on smaller sellers.
If they were all for fit it shouldn't have affected your metrics. I've gotten up to 5 fit returns in one week and still have 0 returns on my seller metrics. This is assuming you refunded all of them on time and didn't let ebay step in, that will give you defects.
Hi Jon, One thing is for sure that making a living as a reseller is getting a lot harder to do. Especially for full timers trying to make a living at it. The more Ebay puts on Sellers the more it is putting its company in the hands of the buyers who are not always honest. This is a balance that will play out in time. The information you are giving sellers may keep them ahead of the game and ride out the ups and downs we are all going through. Let's all hope 2024 is a good year for all of us. All The Best.
I fully recognize it is the seller's responsibility to ensure the item arrives safely (undamaged), and since the seller is dependent upon the shipping service to accomplish this, I believe the seller should cover themself by way of insurance and offering a proper return policy. With this new policy, there is no protection to reputation if an item is damaged, and also opens up unrestrained buyer abuse. Not good.
If you sell clothes you might be better to use apps like posh to sell them. Ebay needs to let seller leave negative feedbacks on bad buyers also the fees we pay now doesn't result in better service for sellers. If people start using other platforms to sell products Ebay will be forced to change and getting dinged for out stock is bs unless you relist the items right after saying it was out of stock.
The only time Ebay dings you for ended listings is when you end an auction listing with a a bid or bids. People think the end and sell similar is a new thing. Its been known for years. Ive actually done it for over 2 years. My metrics have never been affected by ending a listing that I have sent an offer to or received an offer on. In my opinion, everyone is getting worked up and misinterpreting something that has nothing to do with USA sellers.
I sell on multiple platforms and I get stuff sold all the time elsewhere although I've sent an offer to watchers on eBay. I am unable to predict whether someone is going to buy my item elsewhere just because I sent an offer to watchers on eBay. This is dumb. Sounds like they frown upon us selling on different platforms. If they could attract more buyers, then I guess we would not have to sell on different platforms. Hmm....
Jeez, eBay is really hanging us out to dry, encouraging even more bad buyers. Admittedly there are so many bad sellers on eBay also that blame the postal service for their shortfalls but most us cannot be held responsible for this.
The INR part is absurd... in Canada I send a lot of things via economy because of the price differences. You get the odd INR here as its an easy scam. The only other times ive received an INR was because the BUYER gave me the wrong address or because item went missing in some manner (couldnt find, partner brought in package, stolen from porch) or went "missing" with tracking. All out of my hands.
Also, just to add, many buyers use the app. I do myself when buying and where we have a condition box on the desktop version, this is not shown on the app. Plus eBay disregards all the effort you have put in to describe and picture the item anyway and sides with the buyer.
Just a way to extract more money from the sellers, Ebay isn't profitable for me anymore as a seller, and as a buyer, Ebay has become the most expensive site to buy from if they have what I want at all. I got a bedroom full of paid for stock I want to get rid of. I want the room back and to get rid of the clutter, but dealing with eBay is getting harder and harder.
I agree with all the updates on eBay platform. I have had to block some pretty bad buyer. I don't like the fact that we are held accountable for postal errors or crime committed by a porch thief. If they get wind of the fact that the buyer will get a refund for an eBay package, what's to prevent to doing more thievery. Love your channel and listen to it everyday. On the second 1:00 podcast you correct some errors, so maybe it won't count in the United States.
I agree with some on here about a class action lawsuit is in order. They are not the first ones to get a lawsuit against them. Sellers can’t keep taking every dish eBay puts out there because they will not STOP serving the dishes. It’s up to the sellers to take a stand. Yes there are bad sellers but there is also bad buyers. eBay is taking only the side of the buyer leaving sellers almost hopeless and definitely helpless. Class action lawsuits is in need for sellers. Other platforms have been sued and had to sell their platforms to another. Sellers need to take a stand or keep eating what they dish out.
eBay has no clue how the real selling business operates. Many times the “not as described” are the buyers fault not reading the description or doesn’t know how to batteries in an item.
If that's a thing where they are going to count it as a BBE where you end a listing with offers still active, that's BS and I'll probably stop listing a lot of my items on ebay if that's the case. Just yesterday, I got an offer from a buyer on Ebay and then 5 minutes later the same buyer (I could see from the state and zip code) went and bought it on poshmark because the shipping is cheaper there. So obviously I had to go and delist it from ebay. If ebay is going to be penalizing us for this, shame on them. Offers not accepted aren't legally binding. The buyer isn't entitled to the item until they accept the offer or buy it full price. Neither are sellers obligated to accept any offer sent from a buyer. Maybe I'll just quit doing best offer and offers to watchers? Good, other platforms will be getting the revenue from my selling fees.
OK, we have many eBay accounts, all effected. I called eBay to vent my frustrations, in an age where people complain hard if it's a cloudy day. We are aligning ourselves for the worst, with €12,000 a month in eBay fees, that can now go into marketing our website, new direction. eBay is continually shooting themselves in the foot. The email we received from them is so poorly written, just blatant threatening. Right now, we offer considerably large packages, shipping to the USA, the scam we see is buyers ordering parts for a 'wrong model'. They click 'Not as described'. $450+ for us to return the wrongly ordered item (They're LARGE), we have to refund, or, eBay defect us. No penalty to the buyer for not checking what he owns, what he needs, just penalties for the seller. Plus, another kick in the teeth, now, a BBE slam. Bye bye eBay.
I had to just fight ebay for item stolen off someone's porch just in past week. I followed all rules and amounts didnt require authorization but buyer demanded a refund. Left me negative feedback also 😂 cant make this stuff up.
The items not received judgment is bs with the standard envelope the tracking doesnt work i have emails ebay admitting to it and were punished for it? Smells like a lawsuit
Ebay can not afford Above Average or Top Rated Sellers. Below Average Sellers PAY Time and a Half on Final Value Fees. So instead of 600 dollars Below Average Pays 900 Dollars. Ebay is SqueezeBay. Just like Promoted Listings. Is that not why we all strive for Top Rated?
That ding on item not received "no matter what" is kinda dumb....that means, in their verbiage, if the item gets lost or stolen (even if the seller provided tracking) that is a ding on the seller's account. It also sounds like even if the case of lost/stolen item was resolved in seller's favor you will still get a ding on the account.....is also opens up a lot of bad buyer shaking down sellers by saying "if you dont give me some sort of partial/kickback money back ima go and put in a INAD or whatever they feel like putting......Plus I can see Bad Buyer abusing the Item not received even more than before.......
How are we responsible for what the shipping company does or the buyers who nonstop act like I'm the manufacturer and can somehow help if an item runs big/small. I offer free returns and accurate measurements but apparently that's not enough and still get hateful people who will keep the item and just genuinely want to leave you a neutral/negative feedback..
I sold and ship and order $1,200. I as for a signature. The buyer said there was nothing in the box and give it back to USPS which cannot do I lost $1200 because Ebay sided with him do not sell expensive things on eBay you lose your money. No such thing as a buyer protection program.
I'm having people who opened a return due to fit, women's fashion, then when they miss the window to return, I have had 2 people not open that "item not received"case on me. Luckily Ebay sided with me but that person could now leave me bad feedback because they are made at EBAY OR I would also possibly have ding from this item not received case they are trying
I am a Canadian seller and have been for years, I do get the most sales from ebay but also the most hassle, headaches, pains in the a33. It literally feels like ebay is doing everything they can to stop sellers from using the platform, I get they want the best experience possible for the buyer but when there are no sellers left then what? Ebay has gone down hill for years but do to there buyer protection from everything including scamming us sellers, the platform get's busier lol.
When we have to refund the buyer for receiving a damaged item (a costly one) how do I get out of refunding all the fees ( about 300$) less I made because of promotional fees etc. if I didn’t get that money how do I owe this?
A month or so ago, I sold several items to a group that are located in my area. I contacted them, and offered to have them pick up the items from my shop, and I would refund the shipping costs. (this was almost $100 in shipping). They did come out and pick the items up, and bought a few more things. So, I now got dinged on eBay, for not uploading tracking numbers. Does anyone know, is there anyway to show that the items were picked up locally?
Where is there another site that has the traffic ebay offers us? These other platforms have alot of work to do to surpass ebay. Until then I am going to stay where the buyers are.
Why would eBay proactively let word out about this? I guess I will wait to see if a formal communication is announced. Too much conjecture about eBay on UA-cam.

I gave them back half of the item cost and kept the shipping. They are a seller with atrocious feedback who literally takes photos of clothes on their filthy kitchen floor. The dumbass is new and hasn't yet learnt they should have a separate account for buying. Especially if they're going to scam people.
Whats your thoughts on this with auto parts? I dabble in it but may have missed something you noticed. Cheers
Bad buyers are few and far between. As Jride flips says, don't let a few bad experiences stop you from making thousands and thousands of dollars.
Agreed... I started in 1997 and have pretty much ignored all the whiners, but I'll be looking into options now. (Too much inventory to quit!)...
Ebay clearly is trying to end their platform for good...
Why would you say this? The only sellers who need to worry are those who don't value customer service. This would actually increase customer retention
@@hustle-n-grow yes but rven great sellers such as myself make mistakes and now the slightest thing could ban ur acct.
@@biffboffo Man! Seriously!!
Really, turning the screw even more on sellers? I get all those fake claims every time an item doesn’t fit.
Not any more
...... buyers get to do whatever the hell they like are allowed to keep on doing it
This is really good for Poshmark
I hope they realize that this is going to generate a lot of CSR calls because I will no longer let INADS, neutral feedbacks, etc go. I will start calling and fighting every single one of these because it dings my store now. I still plan on shutting down my store in the next 6 months. This just confirms that move. Again, a lot of moves against bad sellers, but none against bad buyers.
They will just change their sellers service policies and become unavailable.
Thanks for the info. The only part that seems off to me is the item not received. If I properly pack the item and give it to USPS that is as much as I can do. A seller shouldn’t get dinged because USPS lost a package or porch pirates snagged it. Hopefully they will give some grace there as well.
There shouldn’t need to be any grace given, eBay can see when you shipped it.
@@sdillon4605 Dosn't stop an INR being raised and the buyer won't get the item if porch pirate's were quciker than USPS.
Thanks for fleshing this out for us. It saves me a lot of time and I appreciate your efforts.
For some reason, all these rules are really hitting me the wrong way. I know to protect the wire, but again they forget about the sellers.
People who ship using eBay Standard Envelopes may get screwed by this, since they get many more INR's, even though eBay winds up covering them.
well ebay also needs to fix stuff from their end as well.
Rockstar flipper made video about this only for UK not usa
Problem is he only made an assumption because of the export.eBay.com url. If he had something concrete backing it up I will revise this video immediately. I mentioned this to everyone I have spoken to and while they had no answer to why this was posted on that site and not under help and contact, they all told me this is going to be implemented for all sellers on the 11th. Time will tell but be prepared.
Although I don't like "wacky" thumbnails on UA-cam, you always have good info in your vids. Thanks for keeping us updated. I would have never known about this.
lmao Jon's face on that thumbnail was actually the exact same facial expression I had when I heard about all this.
Thank you for this summary, I don't have 1.5 hours to listen to Technsport's podcast so I appreciate your video!
Tech spoke to the actual text of the policy in the first part of the video and the other 3/4 of it was discussion around the policy to be fair. But thank you for watching!
Great video Jon, good information. I guess Tommy will have to start cleaning his shoes better now :))))))))
I have received a lot of sales by checking the box to send offers to future lookers. If I end an item I wouldn't know if it was done
This has already been a terrible year for glitches on the platform.
eBay: We’re going to give a lot of grace
Narrator: But they didn’t.
Most concerning is item not received. USPS lost two of my packages this month should have been delivered two weeks ago they can’t find them. One buyer opened a case and the other buyer was patient. I ended up refunding them both. How is it my fault that they lost the packages!!!!
I hate that Ebay does not compensate sellers for lost packages. Poshmark and Mercari refund the seller if a package gets lost. Why can't Ebay?
@@la6136 Exactly, had to file two claims with USPS hopefully they will send me a check for the loss. If eBay did like Posh & Mercari I wouldn’t have to file any claims. This has been a long process very stressful!
Question......What about a listing that has watchers only and no offers sent......Does ending and sell similar count as a ding?
That wouldn’t cause a bad buying experience. In my case I will avoid my end item/sell similar process in items where I have sent an offer.
As someone that is already fearing the power of the eBay gods, this just makes me fear them even more.
Unfortunately the eBay gods are Pakistani guys in Pakistan who don’t care about you or me or our business
The EBay Gods stuck it to me last two months but having my account restricted for 2 months
We are at their mercy.
This is going to result in buyers over demanding seller's kiss there back ends.
lol that's almost an understatement
I am not aware of ebay new policy.. i will check my platform. Thanks for these important tips..👌
And again; eBay acting like a narcissistic parent and treating sellers like they are bad little children.
The best vendors are still always going to get dings showing up on this dashboard due to frivilous buyer remorse and you will have to actually acknowledge them
I agree.
If you check the box to send an offer to new people who look at your listing we wouldn't even know if there are current offers out there 😮
I fully recognize it is the seller's responsibility to ensure the item arrives safely (undamaged), and since the seller is dependent upon the shipping service to accomplish this, I believe the seller should cover themself by way of insurance and offering a proper return policy. With this new policy, there is no protection to reputation if an item is damaged, and also opens up unrestrained buyer abuse. Not good.
Postal "insurance" is not worth the paper it's written on.
Thank you for the info always ❤
The only time Ebay dings you for ended listings is when you end an auction listing with a a bid or bids. People think the end and sell similar is a new thing. Its been known for years. Ive actually done it for over 2 years. My metrics have never been affected by ending a listing that I have sent an offer to or received an offer on. In my opinion, everyone is getting worked up and misinterpreting something that has nothing to do with USA sellers.
If you were able to confirm this is not for US sellers, please share where you found this information.
So if you sell an item on another site but that item had watchers on eBay it counts against you? Wow!
On the second 1:00 podcast you correct some errors, so maybe it won't count in the United States.
eBay always protects the criminals and the scammers.
Being a seller on Ebay in 2023 is like playing Squid Games. You have to walk on glass and throw other sellers under the bus just to survive 🤢🤣💀
I have had my account below standard and its not fun because of out of stock items. When I sell a item on Posh I made sure I end it on eBay🥰
eBay doesn’t need the money anymore.
This is insignificant. Only nuance to the Top Rated Seller criteria. Keep doing what is expected and we will be fine.
Upsetting but we have to be proactive.
Next they will penalize you for blocking a buyer...sheeeeesh
Does not seem authentic? Under a 4 rating is grounds for a negative evaluation? Man, these buyers have too much power to destroy you.....
Thanks John.
Closed my 23 year account after not getting refunds and many bad items.
It’s like they trying to get rid of the sellers ? I’ve moved a lot of my items to another platform .
Thanks Jon. Good info as always.
We don’t need to cater to bad buyers just out of greed.
Why does ebay even still exist? I have been selling casually on ebay since 2000 and seen this platform turn into a hell hole for sellers.
I sold and ship and order $1,200. I as for a signature. The buyer said there was nothing in the box and give it back to USPS which cannot do I lost $1200 because Ebay sided with him do not sell expensive things on eBay you lose your money. No such thing as a buyer protection program.
eBay pushing (smaller) sellers to other platforms, again.
Document and make known in the listing every single detail and take many, many , MANY pictures then document some more.
Then ship it and the item mysteriously disappears.🥱
I am a Canadian seller and have been for years, I do get the most sales from ebay but also the most hassle, headaches, pains in the a33. It literally feels like ebay is doing everything they can to stop sellers from using the platform, I get they want the best experience possible for the buyer but when there are no sellers left then what? Ebay has gone down hill for years but do to there buyer protection from everything including scamming us sellers, the platform get's busier lol.
Are you sure that's not for international ebay? Export ebay is for international and we've not received an email about this
When we have to refund the buyer for receiving a damaged item (a costly one) how do I get out of refunding all the fees ( about 300$) less I made because of promotional fees etc. if I didn’t get that money how do I owe this?
A month or so ago, I sold several items to a group that are located in my area. I contacted them, and offered to have them pick up the items from my shop, and I would refund the shipping costs. (this was almost $100 in shipping). They did come out and pick the items up, and bought a few more things. So, I now got dinged on eBay, for not uploading tracking numbers. Does anyone know, is there anyway to show that the items were picked up locally?
Why is ebay always stabbing us in the back?
The time has come to decide. Do we continue to sell o. EBay, or look for an alternative platform. I am moving on because eBay simply sucks too much!
Where is there another site that has the traffic ebay offers us? These other platforms have alot of work to do to surpass ebay. Until then I am going to stay where the buyers are.
So you get dinged when you relist if there's an offer on that listing? Wow that makes me not want to send offers anymore.
I am going to use this process less frequently even though it has been effective this year.
so let me get this straight if buyer's package gets stolen they have the right to give you bad feedback which increases the bbe? how is that fair?
Don't know why I am watching this I quit selling on ebay when they stop using PayPal
A slow economy is a buyers market...normally.
You know whats coming next...fines per BBE. Mark my words.
Just be a good seller.
Not for usa sellers. Only international sellers. It is clearly labeled.
Please share the link where this is labeled. I 100% would like to know.
Why would eBay proactively let word out about this? I guess I will wait to see if a formal communication is announced. Too much conjecture about eBay on UA-cam.
