Please feel free to try this on scales and see if it works! Ive not try it because i don't hv scales much. Would be interesting to see the results. I've read that neem oil does help so maybe the cooking oil in this will work out. Sometimes if the infestation is bad i would highly suggest to cut away affected parts before it spreads. Treating will take time.
Hi! Sorry for the slow reply! Yes sometimes but not often. I have more leaf miner problems. I usually will cut of all affected leaves. My veggies does not get any spraying ..cause I am not very consistent with spraying even natural or organic ones. So hence I do lose out on some greens. But lately I have started netting up some of my pots..and it's sooo helpful. I really dont need to watch them so much but just water and fertilize. Otherwise on normal days I inspect them and clear of any leaves with pests or infestations. You can check out my video on netting up a pot :) for ideas
Hard to say especially if you live at a rainy place. With rain quite likely they are gone very fast. Most natural solutions are mild hence you will need to reapply. I would say to monitor your plants and see how it works for you and your environment.
Thanks yes I've used soap version before too. That's great advise. This version is interesting surprisingly works well is good for those who prefers not to have soap based solution.
The usage here is very diluted and used as a pesticide spray. I've not encountered issues so far, maybe because I do not wash the solution down into the soil.
@@GROWSOMETHINGGREENtoday Thank you, I decided to flush my soil with water after application just to be safe. I suppose when growing outdoors vs indoors in pots, you get a natural flush every time it rains.
I don't have to run out to buy anything really good . thank you

Can i use coconut or sesame oil
I have not tried but i believe is ok because the element of oil is very small and the function is on the melocular level with water.
Why not use neem oil??
Sure you can.. that's an option too. I wanted to test this so I used this
I have tried the baking soda no effect and it get worse more bug attacks
Great info, music very irritating.
Add one shot of handwash soap like half teaspoon so that the soap help mix oil with water

@@GROWSOMETHINGGREENtoday how do you get the oil to mix with the water without using any soap?
Water n oil does not mix, what about adding liquid soap to catalyze

Nim liquid is better 🍋
Yup. Water...soap...oil. best ever remedy

Just out of curiosity. I use baking soda to adjust the ph of my water, does this upset your ph balance after application?

Hv to avoid spraying in day time when sun is out. And well diluted is key
