This performance is with Lori Marks, Written by Les Reed and Eric Seago for the dramatization of The Windsors, and this song's TV presentation was made in the lunch time show "Pebble Mill at One"

Rebecca, Please tell me the story that inspired him to sing this.. I was 20 years old in 1992 when I saw him do this live in New York.. He told a one minute true story before he began singing. Made me feel like I was living the experience.. He was marvelous on this..

He chose to abdicate after the British government, public, and the Church of England condemned his decision to marry the American divorcée Wallis Warfield Simpson.
It's a fascinating story sang so gorgeously by Enge.
