I'll never understand why they called it quits. Try hard to find modern tracks like this...and I can't. Maybe there was an inner band conflict..or maybe Robert Harvey got sick of touring..

Hi mate, They are my favourite band ever...one of the greatest bands ever. If they wanted, they could come back and absolutely dominate. They are still young enough to have a really lengthy career. I hope it happens.

I have to admit that it hurts to listen to this song knowing that its the very last, mainly the chorus part. I am from Hungary but this band was always very special to me and i hope they will reborn soon together or not. Felt the same when the verve was over.
They played a one off gig in 2022 also at temple newsam, leeds . Just up the road from me.. unfortunately I’ve only just heard of them recently. So close and yet so far !

At least we have Adam Nutters solo album coming out on the 21st of this month. That’s something to look forward to. ❤ I always live in hope that some day they will reform and make another album.
@Doves yeah as far as I know Adam is definitely up for it and also Stu. Possibly Phil too but I don’t think Rob is so keen. I think he worries about his voice now and also feels being up front when performing that his confidence lacks and can’t take it. I could be wrong not going by Adams podcasts that’s what I took from it. I guess never say never. I have never got to see them live and it’s number one on my bucket list. I really do hope they do some more gigs in the future as I would do anything to see them. I had no idea about the two gigs they did last year till after they had been and gone. I was devastated. Still am. As I say I can live in hope that they do do more gigs in the future but at the same time I totally respect them if they choose not to.
@Doves yeah it’s mad I’ve never seen them. Back when they came out I was too poor to go see them play. Not many people I knew liked them to be honest which was a shame but I’ve always loved them since the day I first heard them. But yeah I didn’t know that they guys got speaking again and then planned the live gigs last year. I can’t believe I never seen anything online. When I realised they had played last year was through listening to them on Spotify. Then I looked it up and couldn’t believe it. I’m in the loop now so if anything does ever get announced I will see it. And yup I have Adam’s new album. It’s really good. You?
@Doves yeah it’s great to see Adam on full creative mode now. I think we have so much in store from him. I look forward to it and will back him every step of the way. He’s a really nice decent guy and I’m so glad he is back doing what he loves. He’s such a great guitarist and is a master at creating such catchy riffs.

I really think that the end of the song really should last much longer like 1 minute more with this hypnotic sound at the end there's a real potential... i mean...a chance is lost here... a chance to dance longer at this psychedelic hypnotic electro new wave rock sound... the end should last longer with behind subtile electronic fiddling to explore ... behind the big bass or is it a guitar at the end ?
@djhowls yeh that's right... it's close of the Peter Hook style... and the guitar sound is not so far of "the Edge" style of U2... more a 80s "the edge" style... or is it Will Sergeant of Echo & the Bunnymen?

I wasn't too keen on "Strength in Numbers" but this song is awesome. Would love to have a full album like this. Very New Order-esque.
