This is a very good design and excellent machining. The anodize looks really good too.
Great slingshot... a suggestion. Don't use bottles for target pratice in a forest. Animals can later step on the glass and injure themselves.

First thing that came to mind was gun safety. All of the opening shots walking around the weapon, and the guy's finger is on the trigger. looks like a neat weapon though

If you use anything that isnt smooth and round the bands will only last a few shots. Its cheaper to just buy clay practice ammo than have to replace bands constantly

It looks interesting but not overly impressed with the power. Could be built better and more power with a few modifications. Hand guard could be improved tube with higher strength certainly would be an improvement.
I'd recommend putting a small red dot optic on that, it would make aiming A LOT easier
Yeah mounting the laser underneath would also give more room for some drop at a distance
A real stock, that you can rest to your cheek, would drastically improve accuracy as well. This is kinda shooting from the hip.

I’d be more worried about the thing firing backwards. I’ve seen all kinds of sling shots fire backwards, always right in the face

Это уже нельзя назвать рогаткой.Скорее самострел.Раньше делали в детстве.Палка от хоккейной клюшки,деревянная бельевая прищепка и жёлтая резина купленная в аптеке.По сравнению с рогаткой этот самострел был как снайперская винтовка против пистолета.Можно было с первого раза во что угодно попасть.

Похожие самострелы делались когда то в советском детстве, но под V образный снаряд из проволоки. Короткие пистолетные модели работали исправно, лампочки в подъездах с 10 шагов били легко. А вот длинные винтовочные модели иногда страдали обратным забросом снаряда и поэтому от них в итоге отказались. Здесь при перекрутке жгута тоже есть вероятность подобного возврата снаряда.
Просто п образную шпонку делали и обратно она с винтовочного типа рогатки не прилетала. Я с 40 шагов в черенок от лопаты 10 из 10 попадал. Шампанское с 10 метров просто в пыль,правда стальную проволоку весь день в тисках гнул.

@@putaonline2686 точно)), как то ружьё делал значит, чтобы помощней, а там эта резинка как хлыст, как в по мочке уха схлопотал закинул подальше эту палку. А пистолеты на 3-4 метра точно били, в соседних подъездах стёкол и лампочек не осталось))), потом поджиги пошли из антенных трубочек..

I have one from another mfg, all same parts. I think a original wrist rocket slingshot works better. This is fun to pull out at a barbecue or something, but definitely not for legitimate hunting.

Looks accurate. Just one problem. That laser is going to scare any animal off especially fowl. Try pointing a laser at a bird sometime and see what happens?
They cannot see if it if the laser is green. Green lasers have been used for woodchuck a grouse bed hunting at night for years. Even the red laser works. They only see it if it is pointed at an object near them, not on them. It's worthless during the day in bright sunlight because you can't see it.

I do not use stands, blinds and don't climb on a tree and I hunt at night.

Можно оптику поставить от воздушки или калиматор с неё же , пикатини там есть, пристрелять и будет гуд.

Мы делали, только были тонкие резинки, у нас назывались *венгерки*, и стреляли скобками сделанными из проволоки, прицельная дальность была около 20 метров, бутылки так же бились легко.
A couple things: 1. I would like to see it on a bipod/tripod for aim stability test. 2. That fishing reel is dragging down the speed of the arrow a little too much, perhaps either needs more weight on the arrow or find a reel with less friction or some other type of string delivery method.
Fishing line goes out quick
You can skip the bipode thing just putting the weapon above a rock or something enough strong to resist it's weight
The longer you keep bands stretched like that the less power you have in the shot. All the energy gets dissipated as heat.

but lacks the portability, when you go out buying something and the slingshot is in your pocket or sling bag, and you see some target to practice your accuracy on, you just rip it out and shoot, and when you go inside malls, you'll look like carrying a gun which may get you uneeded attention
