I've made the world's first Blender puzzle game (I think)

Some handy tips:
- When you turn on rendered view and wait for materials to compile, the number often freezes until you move the viewport around slightly.
- Tips are on by default. There's a reason for this. Turn them off only if you are very experienced with Blender.
- There's a workspace along the top called "Accessibility." In here you can choose colors and brightness that work for your vision.
- You can't click on most objects in the game. Therefore, it's a little hard to orient yourself like you usually do. I recommend turning on "Lock to 3D cursor" in the "N" panel of the viewport. Then you can Shift+Right click to place the cursor anywhere and pivot around that.
Otherwise, remember that 'period' on the num-pad centers on an object.
- You can't use transform gizmos in the game, because they don't work while the timeline is playing. Press G to move, R to rotate, and S to scale.
- When rotating something a bit off-axis, it's easier if you press R twice in a row, to active gimbal rotation.
- The game doesn't work while paused. But it's okay to pause to go to the bathroom or something. Just remember to start the timeline again when you come back.
If you find any bugs, please post a comment!
i put the password into the computer and clicked the "Fire" checkbox, and the display says "FIRING! Waring very hot" and plays a noise but there is no laser. Is it broken or is there more to the puzzle?
@@benmccarthy2568 It's not supposed to say "firing" if it's not firing. Would you save your file at that point in the game and send it to me?

It's brilliant. Never seen a concept like this, loved it.
This idea is amazing, could be a new way to learn the program in a much more interactive and funny way. Bravo! 🤓
Absolutely awesome!! Such a unique idea
This looks so fricking professional omg. Really inspires me to learn how to do 3D modelling myself! If only there was a fun youtuber with an appropriate amount of facial hair somewhere around here making free, easy-to-understand videos on such a complicated topic with a free program as a main tool...
Either way I already love the consept, and the style of it all was enough to trick me into thinking it was an indie-game on steam with overwhelmingly positive reviews. Can't wait to take a meteorshower later
Dope idea, like wow, bro just might bring back old blender game tab by accident 😳
Amazing concept. Intro cutscenes, voiceover and everything? Really great work. Managed to beat it in 39575 frames without hints, and I feel like the puzzles were designed nicely.
Feedback and spoilers ahead!
One puzzle I feel like I accidentally cheated: The password to the gun computer. I had my geo nodes open after rerouting the power, and then it's pretty easy to just see the password in plain text, which I assume wasn't the intention, with how the password is written down on the interior. Maybe you could hide that node, or put it into a group that obscures it a bit more :)
That's how you were supposed to solve it! Well done.
Mate, you are a genius. This is so unique, love it, can't wait to play with it
Very smart! 😊
Ive never seen something like this before! This is incredible!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This will be interesting.
brilliant!
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!! excellent idea !!!
dude, this is mad genius. if you are looking to work further more on the whole thing i'd be really down to work with you

It took me an embarrassingly long amount of time to find the key.
Also, I had to change from turntable to track ball, turntable is great when working on something that has a defined up-and-down but I would definitely recommend a track ball for this type of environment.
54419. That was cute as hell. Rotations were infuriating but may be it's a skill issue on my part. Other than that it was very intuitive even without hints and I enjoyed the game a lot.
Wooooaahhhh thats sick!!
woah!!
😮
peng!
