Most of my bigger fish hit the gulp shrimp but seem to catch more on the live shrimp. I would like to see a test between the gulp shrimp and the vudu shrimp
Your girlfriend and George were a great addition to your video. I love watching a little friendly competition. Thanks for letting use enjoy the fun with you both!
Just started using Gulp shrimp 2 weeks ago. Got several bites on the shrimp and the crabs. Same as said before though, for long distance covering, I’ll start using Gulp more. For trolling behind the boat, I’ll keep with shrimp. Unless…Gulp keeps outperforming. In that case…I’m sold on ‘em! And honestly. I thought I was the only one that talked to the fish on release, and telling them “See ya, dude!”….hahahahaaa
I don't use Gulp products really, but I went yesterday with a friend. I caught almost all the fish on a plastic shrimp when he was using live. I didn't have to get the bait out the bucket, I didn't have to deal with catfish, I didn't do much but catch fish. I also believe heavily that the popping cork will make a massive difference as well.
HEY Dude, shorts😀 DO NOT COUNT! And fyi, cheap salty dog or other tails work just as good. Or plain old bucktails work as good as always. I caught an 8lb 3oz. from under the Davis Island access bridge back in the day on live shrimp looking for snook.
Those shrimp are monster! I went with regular size last weekend. They were the smallest ones I’ve ever seen. But the mangrove snapper were so fat and full the smaller ones did the trick
That’s not fair. A live shrimps whole thing is that it just sits out there with no movement. When you fish with gulp you don’t just let it sit there but pick it up and let drop. Why take away the gulps ability?
I always watch closely at the rigs(trying to pick up secrets), I was wondering was the popping cork tied upside down? Looks like the brass beads were on top..
Sometime I wonder why I have so much tackle when Gulp will get the job done but no seriously... Right tool for the right job. If you want to power fish and cover a large area use artificial. If you want to slow down and work a tight zone fish live.
A buddy and I did this a long long time ago.He used Gulp and I used live shrimp. He out caught 2 -1 no lie. We found a school of underslot reds under a dock. Those were the days
When we fish in Everglades Park we fish them until nothing is left. Pin fish def tear them up. But great summer baits when live shrimp is hard to find and keep alive.
Now do the same chjallenge with baits reversed!!! I swear by CRAZY FISH - NANO MINNOWS. Come in any color you can imagine. Great movement in the water. Different sizes. And only $3 for 12! Only came across them few weeks ago and in my head I thought - cheap crap! Went back and got a bag full! Had some big Flounder/Trout and Reds. I'd put them over Gulp to be very honest. And no I dont have anything to do with the company haha
Your videos are fun. But, unfair comparison in this case. You were covering way more territory than she was, and she wasn't using that rig right. Cast it out and pop pop pop stop repeat, until you reel in line or a fish. Also, if I have the choice, I'd rather spend 4 bucks and feed the ocean fish a dozen natural baits, than fill them up with bits of plastics. Enough plastics and garbage and lead sinkers in the ocean already, no?? So I stick with live baits or hard crank baits and spoons that can't be bitten off. Spinner baits are great too because they are never swallowed - easy release. And stainless steel sinkers when needed. Trying to save the oceans for my great grand kids to enjoy too.
What do you like fishing with more: live shrimp or Gulp/artificial shrimp?
I like shrimp when i feel like relaxing and jigs when I am looking for the bite but I have caught way more on live bait.
Artificial. Easier for me in a kayak.

I like em both, the gulf shrimp is way to fragile for the price. Unfair comparison, you cover more area with artificial. 😀

Another great video👍nice way to end a good week with 2 AWESOME fishing videos 🤙
That thumbnail really hit different 🔥 nice vid dude
Great video Brent, would have liked to see you guys switch rods next time to see how results might change.

also why wasn't she popping the cork? just because it's live shrimp doesn't mean it doesn't benefit from the corks noise and action
I think George can use a life jacket !
Cute Puppy 😃

Gulp if you’re fishing from a boat, because you can cover so much water. If you’re in one spot (bridge, pier, dock…) live shrimp will produce more.
Perfectly said
I question if the technique had more to do with the gulp success. A great companion would have been to use the same rig on both by the same person.

I took my old Cocker Spaniel out fishing on the boat once and she jumped in after a bottle nose dolphin. Glad to see George is better than that.
I can usually catch more fish on artificials because I can cover more ground. However, live baits normally produce better quality fish
I agree. For a proper comparison you should have used the same presentation and speed that your girlfriend used.
Like the Pro Marine shirt. My sister has worked there for 20 years.
Excellent vid 👍🎣🏴
George is the man!

Straight dorks! 🤣 nice fish though!

What’s the brand name of those jig heads you were using for the Gulp shrimp ? Links?
Huge believer in gulp shrimp.
They definitely work, but it crazy how easily pinfish and other fish tear them apart. Wish they were a little tougher right out of the package

i only have luck with worms
been using the gulp paddle shad lately and been killing reds and trout around docks. but $7 for 4 is steep
I cant even tell you how much I would've bet the live outfished Gulp
I think if it was fished the same style as the Gulp it would have. Just my experience.
Great Job thanks

Hasn't anyone noticed that he rigged the Gulp upside down?
I bet she has hers.😂😂
🔥🔥
By my count it was gulp 3 to shrimp 4...shorts do not count.
Now you know that a ladyfish will go airborne the instant you tighten the line on it.
I'm not so sure this is an accurate assessment. I say that because she isn't using the action needed with a popping cork.
