Probably be posting an old comment I'm guessing, but you've got a great straight to the point, no nonsense approach. Very appreciable. One thing though that might help folks out that are very very basic, remind them to check sliders, re grease if necessary or replace. Thumbs up
great video but I did not see you put any grease on your caliper sliding pins ? also why did you leave the caliper hanging ? isnt that dangerous for the brake hose it may kink or break ?
Love your no nonsense approach sir. I was asked by my neighbor to help her change the brakes on all 4 corners of her Juke. Never touched one before but your videos (front and back brakes) made me realize it is almost exactly like my Honda Element's brakes. Will do hers tomorrow. Wish me luck! [ BTW, I subscribed to your channel today. Never subscribe to any channel before so you should be proud. ;-) ]
A have a couple of questions, but first... Thank you so much for your videos! It's great to not have to listen to all the blah, blah, blah a lot of these kind of videos have. Straight to the point! I love that! I immediately subscribed! So my questions: -What is that grommet called that keeps out moisture? I took off the back wheel and that grommet is gone. No one knows what I'm talking about. Emergency brakes are important you know! -Is a 1/2 drive and sockets better to use if the bolts are super tight? I have the drive, but not the sockets. -I have to call someone out to my house to remove some of the bolts. One of them started to get stripped. I couldn't get a socket between the bolt and the brake line so I had to use a closed end wrench and a rubber mallet. The bolt started getting stripped so I stopped. The wrench is fine. Maybe more teeth? *I ordered a replacement bolt* Interestingly, that same wheel was also missing a lug nut. What would you do, or what kind of tool would work best for this? I'm going to have to pay someone $120 to come out here just to get those bolts off for me. I've always done everything myself and it pisses me off that I can't do this on my own!
I noticed you did not change the brake clips. is it okay to leave the old clips on. the reason I ask is because I ordered my brake pads and rotors online and they sent the wrong clips; I have AWD and they sent the clips for 2 wed.
What were the socket sizes needed? i must have missed it. im doing my mothers in the next few days rear brakes and rotors for her inspection and just want to make sure ill have everything i need i have hand wrenchs / 2 socket sets/ Milwaukee fuel cordless 3/8 & 1/2 impact wrenchs/ big screw driver/ brake clean/ the rear brakes & rotors/ 2000 lbs floor jack ... am i missing anything else ?? If so please let me know. Thanks you for your video i really appreciate any advice
It sticks out to compensate for pad wear. You have to push the piston back in. Check your reservoir level, you will be pushing fluid back into it so it could over flow. Not bad but it just makes a mess
The strength comes from being Vegan.. Wow U have great Power and you are Great with Your Hands.. didn't see you adjust the E-Brake, that's why that Rubber Plug is there... With Great power comes Great Responsibility... LOL..
