I’ve Been listening to you’re narrations for almost 8 years now I’m still truly impressed by your accents the tones, the pitches, the cracks in fearful or young voices it’s just amazing to hear it gives a genuine sense of the situation and people truly truly amazing work Scott or Skott 😂
Sorry for the delay to the fix on this one guys, but everything should be in order now. Feel free to show the author some love here: www.patreon.com/user?u=48386466&Link&
Hell yes. We all know that you had some stuff happening, and that's all personal. I am glad you didn't forget about us and delivered one hell of an amazing story. I feel like the author needs to do a part 2. Anyways thank you Skott for your amazing narration it made my day.
There's not necessarily going to be a part 2. I call these kinds of stories foundation stories. Like how "Making the Most Cursed Object in History" and "If It's The Last Thing I Do" were foundation stories for a large portion of Werewolves are Assholes, Worst Hotel, I Ride, and Dirty Work Inc., this and Handywork are the foundation stories for the new saga of stories that come after those.
There's like a million Santa Cruzs. This one on the Yucatan peninsula is Chan Santa Cruz which is a few miles away from another, smaller Chan Santa Cruz. You can actually look up the actual place this was based on though. Just look up Chan Santa Cruz, Quintana Roo. The one addressed "Yucatan" is the wrong one, even though they're both in Yucatan.
I truly intend this as a compliment. This was one of the toughest stories i have listened to. But the way drew me in emotionally and intellectualy. I had to see it through. and im Glad i did. This is going to be The number one spot on my story list.for a very long time. Honestly between the two Great Artists who brought it to life. Im not a bit surprised one bit . Much Respect And Job Well done Gentlemen.
Ooowee, this is good. The thin man, Morgan, has already irked me. I know I'm going to the rest. Nothing tops a well written story and a masterful narration! Thanks NT. Yay for the Bruce Leroy reference! 😂❤😂
Okay that's crazy he brings an infected person not knowing what the heck the disease is not knowing what's going on knowing that it is turning people crazy and stuff like that to another country
So to preface, I studied several recent collage textbooks on immunology for this story. It's not a big stretch to say I could squeak by for a bachelor's on it after preparing for this one. And I did an exhaustive amount of research on the applicable laws, regulations, and institutions pertaining to. So I'm not pulling what I'm about to say out of my ass. You have to be under the impression that they left the village and then immediately hopped on a plane and flew back to the US the next day or something. That's not how that goes down. If you show up saying there's a massacred town somewhere in the middle of the Yucatan jungle and you're the only survivors then you're not going anywhere but nowhere for weeks to months while the government figures out what happened and your part in it. And if over the course of that period a professional immunologist sees no sign of infectious activity, macro or micro, then that's considered on good authority. IF you assume he was entirely forthright about the situation with the government to begin with. Another thing to consider is if you're under the impression that world governments are super extra careful and cautious about potential new viral threats then boy you missed an informative few years about how the modern world handles a highly contagious, novel virus outbreak. I bring that up because the Pandemic response measures Obama's NSA set up, the Global Health Security and Biodefense unit, was disbanded by the Trump administration in 2018. They were the ones who might have made a fuss about what Reggi did, but the Biden administration never reinstituted the unit or a reasonable facsimile thereof, even after the 2020 pandemic. So there are virtually no actual laws or regulations on the books stopping him from doing what he did as a private citizen to begin with. The key words there being "private citizen", not a government employee. These hyper strict government procedures you think are there just don't exist and they're literally about to get way worse. A recent listeria outbreak tied directly to the Trump administration deregulating deli meats just killed 9 people and hospitalized over 50 more. And this term he's going to appoint Kennedy, a conspiracy nut and anti vaxer, to gut the FDA and push known health hazards like raw milk as healthier alternatives to pasteurized milk. So what you think would happen in a situation like this is nowhere near the reality of what would actually happen. The government is not looking out for you the way you think they are, I'm sorry to say.
@joshwaggoner1301 don't be sorry you are completely right. I was wishful thinking. Lol thanks for te reply and I did learn something from it and actually agree with you a well. Have a great day and thank you so much
Man, what a disappointing story that fell way, way, short of my expectations! I was excitedly looking forward to this one too, but it was straight-up boring as hell! It was just 90 percent of useless character dialogue and the remaining plot was so generic and stale! With this story having such a simple premise that didnt have anything interesting or entertaining happening, it should of been no longer than 15 minutes. Instead the story was stretched out to 2 and a half hours with the majority of it containing meaningless babble from uninteresting characters! On top of that we also get the unbelievably predictable conclusion to the story that was far too obvious from the beginning. I'm sorry but this was such a major letdown!
Should "have". It's not should "of". It's should "HAVE". It's hard to take people seriously in anything literature related who don't know how words work. But imagine someone who thinks character dialogue is useless also thinking their opinion would be of some value to anyone. Once all is said and done I highly doubt you've ever written much of anything worth reading, so we'll chalk this up to a case of "If I want your results I'll take your advice."
Josh is pretty good at dialogue. It's one of his strongest writing traits, in my opinion. That's a lot of where the story comes from, too. If you've listened to his other stuff, then you'd know.

Joshua Waggoner and Natures Temper=the perfect combination!!

Yeah I don't care how many favors he was owed - there's no way that kid gets into the country without being at least quarantined.
