I have a headcanon that Jack Rose actually has black hair like his mother, but he dyes it red because he wants to stand out and wants to be different from her

For me I love the idea that the 3 coaches that are recruited during the story Jack, Brexiana and Mihaly might represent 3 main reasons people like to play just dance or dance in general which are self-expression, excercise/fun and mental health
Ohh as we know Mihaly represents determination and Brezzina I believe represents courage so then what does Jack represent

Now that you mentioned headcanons, I've taken to the idea that the reason Night Swan failed to become the ultimate ballerina was because she got pregnant with Jack. It's been said that nobody showed her any support back in the day, so when she met Jack's father and he actually seemed to show her some compassion, she gave in to him-but when she found out she was pregnant, he had abandoned her completely, and that was the straw that broke the camel's back. I think this is part of why Night Swan resents Jack so much; she sees him as a mistake and only kept him around for need of a heir.

I just love the fact that there is a plus size/bigger girl as a main character and a hero at that!!! Just dance continues to listen to their fans and includes diversity to their games and its so heartwarming!!

Actually, the whole part in Locked Out Of Heaven where Jack performs is probably not fake and real, as we see the same arena we saw in the 2nd chorus/bridge of said map in Majesty. And given how the crowd is HYPED for Jack, It implies he is a real performer. His body language says it too. When Night Swan converts everyone in the audience into her minions(that serve), we see ack reaching his hand out, as in he's in shock. And with Jack arguing with his mother, it seems he's arguing about how she converted his fans, and it's clear he loves them dearly. So yeah, just pointing stuff out that you probably didnt notice.

Agreed! She minionized his fans and Wanderlust got caught in the blast. The people who showed him the kindness his mother never did have been trapped because of him and he is UPSET

Fingers crossed Night Swan isn't related or my WanderRose heart will break, her portal design however is completely different to Wanderlust and The Traveller which makes me believe it's a power she might have stole or achieved with dark magic vs mastering the flow or gaining the power through genes
People have commented that the ability to make portals might be learned instead of inherited, which makes me wonder if maybe Night Swan and The Traveler attended the same magic school or something...and now I keep picturing them as college roommates who argued all the time.
I have a theory that the coaches of Psycho are the previous dance friends of Night Swan. The song Psycho talks about being in a toxic environment of decadence. Night Swan wants perfection so this would definitely affect her friends. Also the middle coach has pink feathers similar to Jack Rose. Another point is that the portals in Psycho could be the same as the ones Night Swan uses

9:47 if I remember correctly, in a lore video aurore said that after majesty, night swan retuned to her home city in eternyx called Cygnus, so it would make sense if Cygnus, the coach from Beggin' is the architect for that city and also probably the night swan Tower as we can see it in the background of Beggin'

The amount of deep lore in Just Dance is mindboggling, considering where JD started. I wasn't expecting a lore video covering the JD 2023 story mode to be this insightful, since I thought the story was pretty straightforward, but there're details I didn't notice just playing the game.
I was a bit disappointed when Night Swan appearing in Telephone was never brought up, but I realized this is covering the Story Mode, plus you've already made a video covering the entire lore of Telephone.
Quick correction: This is actually the second JD story mode. The first was in The Smurfs Dance Party. Maybe you could do a deep dive into the lore of the Smurfs in JD.

I will say tho that I don't believe the performances that jack has are due to his imagination, namely because the fans turn into members for the swan army, which ultimately leads jack to rebel.
since we presume he didn't know wanderlust before this, it's very unlikely wanderlust is the only reason he rebelled.

Here are my theories:
1: The coach of Sail is the same coach as P2 for Jump in the Line in JD2. They have basically the exact same clothes and color scheme.
2: Cygnus, from Beggin, is Jack's father. The lyrics seem to tell a story of a man wanting to be back with his wife and not be in a broken home anymore. And with all the Swan symbolism and the connection in color to Jack, it does seem possible.
Yesterday I had a Dream about LittleSiha, nothing weird just kind of like a show and meeting her.
I haven’t watched in a few months cause of personal problems, and the Dream made me realize that her content is something that comforts me the most
Beggin and locked out of heaven also both. Feel pretty similar in the original meanings of the song and with the added context Cygnus had to crash the showdown In order to perform beggan, it would seem that both of them being denied the ability to perform is also part of their story, which would just like with locked out of hethen change the meaning of that song for that map.. Which would be another thing that thematically links the 2 characters.
Although I think it's way more plausible that Cygnus is a brother / other relative, The song fits soooo well with him wanting night swans love back

They could have been a couple or very close friends that fell out.

Tbh I really liked the theory that Dolores (the coach from drivers license) was indeed Night Swan. It’s already been confirmed this is not the case but I think it would have been cool if Dolores was broken by so many things and then they could have used Vampire to show her transformation into Night Swan
I'm glad that Just Dance sends these kinds of messages in the lore, and how it acknowledges the empire its built up. Just Dance creates characters for all of us to connect to, and sometimes while it's easy to get lost in grinding for levels or getting the megastars, it's nice to have a game that cares for us, as if it's an old friend, especially during IYWP, with the same disco ball that's been in every starting menu since Just Dance 1. It definitely makes me emotional thinking about how far Just Dance has gone and progressed in its interaction, quality, and choreographies! I love Just Dance lore!
Oh wow, I took a lot of Jack Rose’s content differently. I thought Night Swan’s disapproval of kid Jack’s dancing was that he wasn’t good enough yet. And his audience must be real, because they appear again at the start of Majesty and get turned into minions at the same time as Wanderlust, at the blast of dark energy that comes from Swan Tower. I concluded Night Swan was using Jack to gather people in one place to be minionized.
And when Wanderlust first approaches Jack Rose, I took the way Jack reacts as being defensive, almost like he thinks Wanderlust wants to hurt him. I don’t think Jack’s ever been allowed to interact directly with his fans or has ever been shown real kindness, and that’s why he’s so quick to turn on his mother when he realizes the Just Dancers aren’t going to hurt him. He’s known them for 30 seconds and they’ve been nicer to him than Night Swan has ever been.
Do the backstory behind the Radioactive coaches if you look closely at the background you can see that certain grey lines may hint at other coaches of different colors and I also have this strong curiosity of how Aureolin ended up in a wheelchair and trust me I'm begging you to do a backstory video on them, please. 🥺

The lore in this game is so silly but I literally cannot get enough of it I’m so excited to see what else the jd team has in store
From what I’ve understood, the art of flow is taught, meaning theoretically anyone could train until they could open portals. I could be totally wrong, but that’s what I got out of the few posts they’ve made talking about flow and how it works. Specifically the first “day in the life” comic thing with Wanderlust and Traveler.
Also, I noticed Cygnus's map had a Night Swan statue in Beggin' so maybe your right!

Beggin' coach is related to the traveler that is in a relationship with night swan, he made the portal mechanic for night swan's building.(just a theory)
I think we could find some lore in the beta map “sweet dreams” or the fact that the coach who goes with(I forgot his name) blue face is the same dancer for night swan
On JD24’s EtD Story mode, I think the behind story of Night Swan might be revealed, or teen life of Jack Rose. Also, Cygnus could come back, like Just Dancers. Also, at 10:14 , maybe..she went to Amanita currently activating in Eternyx?

I think night Swan is shown in one of the mirrors of can't stop the feeling. It is a map that has not yet been released and it probably relates to her somehow,maybe shows her origins. That's my theory

The lore guardian in a q&a video on the Just Dance UA-cam channel said that Night Swan's nails were crafted by The Witch and that those are what allow her to open portals between dimensions
I also remember, but not on what occasion, that she confirmed that when Night Swan fled she opened a portal to The Cryptid, the stage for Good Ones, and my theory is that Mothigan's role of "helping coaches rest" is somehow related

Just Dance said (I believe on Twitter when they were revealing lore about the Showdown participants) that Cygnus built some of Night Swan's traps, including a clock tower one. (Is this related to Bring Me To Life?!) Then, they said something along the lines of "Now, he's beggin', beggin' for her to come back." THE LORE IS GETTING SPICY!! 😆
Theory : Night Swan is taking over the dance verses because she’s mad because Zooby Doo and Chaccaron beat her in her ballerina days and we are hoping for Majesty ALT with Night Swan VS Zooby Doo and Chaccaron.

I don't really know if you know about this one, but have you heard of the whole theory between Frost princess (She-wolf) and Magma princess(Where have you been). This has been a side theory by some people for years that they have a connection, which can make some sense. Not only did they have a battle song together but the songs they have are very interesting, and some people think that their songs connect about a type of issue in a relationship of some sorts, Magma princess's song seems to be about looking for her babe, and Frost princess is more about how she feels overwhelmed and how it's destroying her, most likely mentally.
Could be some interesting lore between the two, that's all.

I liked the 2023 storyline a lot and I think it's a great start for the lore journey, but I hope next story mode can have a more complex story that takes better advantage of the whole map like majesty.

Some things I've noticed
Witch- some of Night swans dance moves hint at her being a ballerina with some of her moves using hand and foot positions of 5th * I've been looking this up so might be off* and Arabesque * lifting one leg up*
Physical- before everyone starts dancing with her the heart on her shirt starts glowing and sends out the colored waves
Majesty - I've also noticed that the move Jack and wonderlust do is also the Gold move for the song like it was in save your tears. and that during the beginning of the song Jacks hair is a darker red but by the end of the song, and when he joins the main group its a much brighter red.
I just realized that the intro from jd 2018-2022 is the disco ball. If you wanna party is the inside of it which makes me think how long does the lore date back too

The feather could also represent freedom as birds are often used as a symbol of flying away. It could be a songbird in a locked cage metaphor.
the pirate guy is not the father or at least I don’t think he is because I believe it’s a reference to jump in the line (a personal favorite of mine) and in that he has a pirate lady dance with him
