The S is basically the new ps2, it's the king of this gen
I guess I have to clarify as people are getting defensive... 🙄. I say its like a Ps2 because its small and cheap. I also say "King of the consoles" I don't mention power so I don't know why you are getting so mad over something I didn't even say. It is fully backwards compatible like the Ps2 was with ps1 games.
Its another game system logic how is it a ps2?

My right trigger on the controller has already become sticky after like 2 months of use and the culprit was the glue from the foam pad that contacted the right trigger when pressing. Replaced it with another foam pad (any foam type pad with glue will do, just cut it to size). The part is easily accessible by just removing the left or right shell and placing the new pad with a tweezer.

@@Hey_iTZ_Ben Man it is lit literally has 3 zones you can light up different colors and also around the whole controller and you can custom the trigger buttons how far you want them to push down and it has rumble too I wanted to buy a custom one but for over 100 no way this one is under 50 bucks and omg I am soo happy.
The X box next gen consoles are awesome. For the non disc version makes me do a double take on why Microsoft just didn’t make a plug and play version that could have operated like a peripheral (sort of like plugging in an external cd drive) for PC gamers. That way you’d get the best of both worlds.
I guess they didn’t want to be like googles stadia. They are currently working on expanding the cloud gaming now to be on more screens like your tv without a console but with the lag it’s pretty unplayable unless you have your console directly connected to your internet modem/router.
The Xbox series S is so unappreciated at the moment, I have family members who own both Systems, Series X and series S and they are both great.
i never understood why the hell would you want to have multiple games running, if im playing one game and want to play another one ill rather close it. i think its cool that theres a feature for it but people make the biggest deal out of it
It’s convenient when like I get off Gears and want to jump right into DB Fighterz. When you want to save time from game loads it’s an awesome feature. Prior to that if a game took too long to load I’d lose interest and do something else 😆
Xbox series s great console only reason I bought it was to play Halo Gears and forza planning on getting ps5 digital edition next year hopefully when there's more units available
All three of those games are solid!!! Can’t wait for Halo to release! Ps5 digital might be the way for me too down the road

i've got COD Cold War and Modern warfare on system and its 92% full. even after leaving campaigns and coop off
Yeah there was no way I was putting Cold War and Modern Warfare on my Series S when I can play them just fine off my external hard drive. You should move them off the internal drive and use more games with quick resume
@@Hey_iTZ_Ben I’ve moved modern warfare to external drive and having some issues with Cold War on my xboxes so just removed that one altogether for now
That’s odd. I’m playing Cold War now off my external and I haven’t had any issues with it
Yeah memory is a issue with the Series S. I have a 2tb external that I have Modern Warfare, Cold War and Battlefield 4 and 5 on. I was going to put Apex Legends on the external but I like the faster loading times of the internal

@@mustafab.5261 True that is little more than you can get for Xbox Series X, but I have TCL 120Hz FHD Smart TV so I can fully utilize the "up to" 120FPS console gaming experience + huge games to store.

I have a series s I run it on a 1080 p aoc gaming monitor it has 4k on my TV it's a 65 inch Samsung curve and it can handle 1440p at 120hz I have a one x too I can tell the difference because I do alot of comp drag racing on forza horizon 4 the series seems faster to me because I win more on my series than my one x

Please try the series s on a 1080P gaming monitor, not 4K, and you will be amazed! Nothing is soft, all is tac sharp! Also a 50 inch 4K TV has 88 pixels per inch, but a 24 inch 1080P monitor has 92 pixels per inch, so my 1080P monitor is actually sharper than a 4K at 50 inches. It all about the distance you sit, and if you are playing at native resolution with the series s, then wow! Try it :)
I definitely want to get a gaming monitor but I’m stuck on if I want 1080p or 1440p. I feel as though there is more motion blur on 1440p when recording.

I agree, I use a AOC 25" 1080p 144hz panel with my Series S and love it. That's mainly why I didn't get a Series X. I was not interested in 4k gaming in the least and honestly don't want a much bigger monitor.

Just ordered an Xbox Series S due to my PS5 was getting lonely 😄 Nah but Ive been back and forth with xbox over the years that I just had to bite the bullet on this one especially with the price, hard to pass up.
Word!! Yeah I’ll eventually get a ps5 down the road once Spider-Man 2 comes out enjoy it tho! Lots of games on gamepass to keep you busy.

You say it isn’t much of an upgrade. I have to disagree. The cpu and ssd make it a massive upgrade
Even the gpu is 4 teraflops compared to ps4's and xone's 1 teraflop.
I’d have to agree and disagree. It’s much better than the PS4 and Xbox 1 yes but from the power standpoint we shall see. XBOX 1 X has 6 teraflops. I will say the quick resume is awesome when it works. It’s a bummer that it doesn’t when a game has to connect to the online services when Xbox doesn’t have many single player only games. I do love the SSD though wish it was a lot bigger since now I have officially filled it up.

@@Hey_iTZ_Ben you do realise that because of the architectures in the graphics between Xbox one hardware to these new consoles TF between the 2 isn’t an accurate measurement. GCN vs RDNA 2 are completely different, it’s not as simple as saying the series s is less capable graphically than the one x because it’s 2tf less. It doesn’t work like that

Series S is perfect if you don’t have 4K tv or have never had an Xbox before. Series S loading times are much better than the One X. Forza Horizon 4 boots up so much quicker now. The only downside for the Series S is the lack of SSD space. Unless of course you only play 3-5 games at a time and don’t care to delete them after you are done. My problem is I play way too many games but never finish them 😂

I would choose the Series S over the One X. One for the improved loading times. Also because eventually you wont be able to play any of the newer games coming out next year. Right now only The Medium is unplayable on Xbox One but soon there will be more. If you have the $500 to spend I say go for the Series X.
I had the One X and upgraded to the Series S. The faster loading times and frame rates make it well worth the money.

I personally think getting an X is a better choice, money/performance ratio.
It may be perhaps but having the Xbox One X previously I was let down at just how similar the the S was and there really wasn’t a big difference other than loading into the game a little faster. I will eventually pick one up but I didn’t want one right now at least not for $500

So I checked. Games that are 4k on X are 1440p on S. And in some cases 1080p on S and 1440p/4k on X all @ 120hz ofcoures since that is the new standard for fast paced games. (Games in general except fighters if you ask me) This is a HUGE difference if you ask me. Apart from that I guess you're right on it being fairly simular.

@@jamisonpawley5822 it depends which game. Some run 1440 on x but 1080 on s or 4k on both or 4k on x and 1440 on s (120hz mode ofc) there is a list i believe

How many games do you think it can hold I'm wanting to get game pass
I’m currently at 13 games installed and still have 92gb free. Depending on which games I get I could probably fit another 6 or 7. I have 10 games under 25gbs. Gears madden and fallen Jedi are my biggest games

No Problem. The only caveat I would also mention is that some games dont play off external if you have one. So like to make some room i took off madden 21 and replaced it with Forza Horizon 4. Just stay away from the COD games and youll be good. I have COD on my external and it plays just fine. But if you play 5 games max this is an awesome console. Knockout City is around 9gb, DB Fighterz 8gb, and like minecraft is just under 1gb. It all depends on what you play.

You have 364gb of free space after setting up the Series S. Like mentioned, I wouldn't put the COD games on the internal as they take up way too much space.

Series S is in and out of stock weekly. Series X has been restocked with limited quantities each week but you have to be fast at checkout.

Series X will still look and play better but if you don’t care to spend an extra $200 I’d say go with the S.

Depends on what you are planning on to play because sometime in the near future you won’t be able to play X/S games unless they make major improvements on cloud gaming. Series S is faster but the drop in frame rates I think isn’t worth it unless you’re playing on a gaming monitor. I would get a Series X if you can only afford to get it otherwise go with Series S. One X is too slow in my opinion now.

🤣 as if AAA titles mean anything for hardcore gamers that are able to play all three systems. Imagine living your life with so much negativity. Btw Ps5 has nothing worth buying either as all their games aside from Astroworld and Rachet are all playable on PS4. Gamepass and Xbox Live over PSN/PS4/PS5 any day of the week. But don’t worry Eddy I’ll dust off my PS4 sometime this year to accommodate your preference 😉

Is series s cable 4k 60 fps?
Most games are upscaled 4K. The only game I believe that is 4K would be Gears 5 but don’t quote me on it because their target resolution is supposed to be 1440p. You can still stream 4K movies though on it
Also to add you will need a 2.1 hdmi cable to get to that.

No problem. Upscaled 4K is similar to One X. However if you want true 4K gaming id go with the Series X. But you must also have a 4K 120hz tv with the Series X. Series S is upscaled 4K on most games but some can achieve 4K if the developers allow it. Right now I am in similar boat if I got Series X I dont have a 120hz tv or gaming monitor so i would be capped at 30-60 fps.

If you had a one x and upgraded to a series s it's not worth the upgrade. The series s is like a half baked next gen system.
Honestly the quick resume and much quicker loading times is worth it. And once they stop making games for the One it’ll come in handy. I’m a still get an X just didn’t want one right now.
I completely disagree with this. Obviously comes from someone that has never played the Series S. It loads much faster, and has improved frame rates. Add in certain game's are now enhanced for the Series S and X. I had the One X with a external SSD so I know an improvement when I see it.

i think its the worst console out right now actually. it has no disk drive, it cant even play games at full 4k, most games will be 1080p 60fps which is awful. bro the one x is better its literally a downgrade and a rip off. its good for a new gamer and thats it
Some people don’t care for 4K. It’s a good thing I got the one X still but at the same time the loading times are horrendous compared to the Series S. Don’t worry papa I’ll get a Series X one of these days just didn’t care for it right now.
@@Hey_iTZ_Ben Yes, loading is slow on the One X, if you don't have an external SSD. I purchased an external 1TB SSD for my One X & wondered why I never did it before. Loading on Forza Horizon 4 & other games is ultra fast. (Not quite as fast as my PS5 but a vast improvement over HDD) With an SSD, you get 4k & fast loading on One X. This will probably keep me happy for a while, just missing quick resume feature. When I do upgrade, it will be to the Series X. (Will play Forza Horizon 5 in 4k@60ps vs 1080p@60ps on Series S.)
