Most excellent video series clarifying several questions I still had in my mind about this upgrade. After seeing your process in detail I pretty much decided two things... 1) I MUST do this upgrade to my 2013.5 WC... and 2) I think I'm going to see what my awesome Arctic Cat Dealer (Day's Power Sports in Bloomer, WI) wants to do the work. It's a bit more than I think I want to tear into quite honestly.
Thanks for the great videos. I'm doing this on a 2013 X. Would you do the one way bearing on a machine with only 700 miles? Any regrets doing the 20 MM sleeve on the boss after 1st year use?
MLS power sports highly recommends doing the one way bearing at the same time. It’s hard to say for sure if it’s 100% necessary but I guess they take a beating so i went ahead and did mine in hopes of not having anymore issues. I have no regrets with how I did it, I think it has to help some at least. I’ve had no issues at all from my starter/gears/case since the upgrade. I try to make sure it doesn’t backfire or stall when I first start it. Good luck with your upgrade and let me know if you have more questions 👍🏻
I'm doing this upgrade now and my cover seems to be stopping going on with a 1/8GAP ON THE STATER SIDE .IS THERE SOMETHING THAT NEEDS LINED UP OR DO I JUST NEED TO PUSH A LITTLE HARDER?
The end of the crankshaft fits into a bearing in the stator cover and then also the two shafts for the starter gears also have to line up into the stator cover. Sometimes it can take some wiggling around to get everything together. You can tap it some with a deadblow or plastic type hammer, just go easy with it. It shouldnt take too much to get it to go back together. Just make sure there is nothing obvious out of place that could be causing it not to sit flush, good luck with it

Do you have 2 put oil back in the case
It is engine oil, so just check your level on the dipstick or you can change it when you do the upgrade
Does that 570 have an s kit on it or spacers?
I just posted a video of the 570, but it had the Super ATV "S" conversion on it to make it 60" wide.
