I was going through a difficult time back then, and the instant I heard this song,I closed my eyes and sobbed uncontrollably, but I felt something in me starting to heal. That's when Angels and Airwaves became a band that would change my life.
This is my favourite Angels and Airwaves song to play. I remember playing it in my room, singing into my mic with the backing track and feeling a wave of emotion and shivers around 3:40 and i'll never forget that moment
The real feels have to be 2:34 because you know where the chorus is building up to, and your heart starts racing a bit as you wait for piano to kick it up, and then you wait for the crescendo.
There's still hope for the young'uns. It helped me and a lot of others through school/college/university and is still helping me in my adult life . Keep going, you can do it.

My friend passed away years ago and I promised I would look out for her young adult daughter. Currently, her daughter is in a situation where she needs her mother. But she's not here, it's just me. Some few months later and I quit that high paying job for one that brought more meaning into my life. Two years later and I'm still struggling like I was then, but it's been for something more than money so I'm blessed. This week is a big one for me. I hope I get the call back for the promotion. I hope you know how important a simple message like this is.

It went on so long that the high paying job I left offered me a six figure salary to come back (I'm great friends with them and they are good people, so they knew what was going on). I felt like the universe was making me chose between money and happiness again (I have a family, can't deny economic mobility at a certain point). Took a leap of faith with my wife's support and said no but thank you to the offer. I'm beyond happy to report that on May 17th I will officially have the title of Director at the place I love to work! Going to give them a hard time about what took so long, but I feel like I'm home where I need to be so it's all good. :)
