C52 #2

This is what I would call a defeat. I think the melody has improved, but I just can't get the accompianament to fit with it - ESPECIALLY that first 4/4 bar. I just ran out of time, and I think I need to move on from this piece for now. I knew it was going to happen eventually, but I was hoping I would make it longer than the second installment.
The piece is SUPPOSED to be based off a clarinet/cello duet I heard in the subway; especially with those acoustics, it just sounded so pretty, and the voicings fit so well together. I was going to add a synthscape inspired by one of the CrownPit 2018 lot tunes, "Rose", plus a couple days into this installment, I heard the song "Feels Like Home" by Grace Kelly, which I fell in love with, and starting influencing it as well. There's just a lot of sounds swimming around in my head that I'm not sure how to make sense of.
I would probably just bury this if I wasn't trying to use this as a method of accountability (though, this week was not good for accountability). I still like the concept, but I think I need time away from this, and maybe a fresh start.
