🔨🏡🇰🇷 When it comes to building houses with wood, the Koreans truly excel! Their craftsmanship is impeccable, resulting in stunning and sophisticated designs. It's fascinating to witness the process of creating a beautiful Korean-style house, showcasing the skill and expertise of the carpenters involved. The attention to detail and the dedication they put into their work is truly admirable. Kudos to the talented individuals behind this remarkable construction! 👍
@Meta Tech, It sounds like you know about this building process; if so, could you please post a few words about the different materials used, for example, the black granular insulation used inside the roof, as well as the type of wood used for framing. I would also like to know about the clays used on the exterior and interior walls. What kind of flooring is traditionally used inside? And finally, what would you estimate to be the cost of building that home? Materials, labor, etc. Thank you 😊 We need more homes like this in the USA. Big respect to the building craftsmen who worked together with skill and harmony! 🌺
The straggering amount of meticulous planning for pre-fabrication/ pre-processing of materials is just mind-blowing. Every edge and angle fits snugly. I particularly loved the structural work and roofing. I think I am going to remember this house for forever!
After studying Japanese building for years, I was really thrilled to be able to study Korean post and beam construction. Really unique! This video taught me a lot.
I can imagine that it is very difficult to find the talent that understands this level of detail in another country or culture. You can design anything, however if the workmen have no experience or the appropriate tools, it ain't gonna work. Too often design must be down-graded to match the available tools and skills of the workforce.@@david-ow3nv

Jamaica, and America build like this? This video made me cry. I'm just in complete awe of how quick they're building this home. You can even see that it's built sturdy, and it looks amazing. I'm just in shock of amazement.
American homes are not built like this. Plastic and thin wood with tarpaper roofs. Not even all states require insulation. This house is ten times more stable and well built than American homes.

Beautiful work and stunning results! Just two questions...what was the mulch-looking stuff put into the roof before the top tiles were put into place, and were the main vertical peices of the frame ever connected to the cement foundation? It looked like the whole house is just resting on the slab..
Charred rice husks. I guess very lightweight with good insulation values. Great use of a readily available raw material that would otherwise go to waste. Pretty sure the house framing “floats” and isn’t anchored.
In the event of an earthquake the house will not crumble but dances...(?)...what is the material they use for the wall panels before cementing/mudding i noticed they use sliced bamboo to hold whatever in the panels (good idea). How do they achored the wall to the main beam (nails??).

Was it crashed charcoal they put on the roof as insulator? 😮 It's my very 1st time to see it used that way.❤ I hope there would be English texts to describe the used materials & its purpose, if not in the video at least in the description box. It would have been very informative & helpful. This is very interesting to me.❤
It's called chaff charcoal. In Japanese, it's called kun charcoal. It is one of the byproducts of rice milling. It has a porous structure that allows it to breathe and purify. It also has a humidity control function and can hold up to 680% of its own moisture. So it can be used as a building insulator to make your home more comfortable.
It's not the charcoal of wood. Looking at the writing on the outside of the wrapper, it says rice husk. The husks of rice are made like charcoal. It is a very lightweight natural insulation.
@@lifelab415hmm...that's even more interesting if those were rice husks! I've never seen or heard it charred before to be honest. I don't think we char rice husks here in the Philippines. I only got knowledge of charred wood, & that we have a lot, used for cooking. Thank you for the response & to the other person below. Learnt something new today. 😊🫠
In my experience of having built ,lived in few decent homes that still exist in my family possession and will not give up but pass on to future generations, it's best to keep maintainable and not to complicated. That black stuff (rice or charcoal) should ever be caused to leak through the ceiling spell trouble similar to woodworm dust.

Australia and NZ has one of the worlds worst house designs. And they cost like they are made of gold. Poor quality carpenting , poor insulation, poor structural strength.

@Meta Tech,
It sounds like you know about this building process; if so, could you please post a few words about the different materials used, for example, the black granular insulation used inside the roof, as well as the type of wood used for framing.
I would also like to know about the clays used on the exterior and interior walls.
What kind of flooring is traditionally used inside?
And finally, what would you estimate to be the cost of building that home? Materials, labor, etc.
Thank you 😊

This is simply amazing. I wish we built houses like this in my part of Africa.

It's my very 1st time to see it used that way.❤
I hope there would be English texts to describe the used materials & its purpose, if not in the video at least in the description box. It would have been very informative & helpful.
This is very interesting to me.❤
Imagine in time that insulation gets loose and leak in the home continuously.
