Just bought the 0811X Gen4 RH 7.5 Driver with a HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX 70 6.5. have to say it's the greatest driver I've ever hit. The club didn't let me down on the first eighteen holes. Used it on 14 holes and hit 12 fairways as well as hit 8 bombs around 280-320. Totally love the driver the 7.5 is perfect for me as well as the shaft pxg recommended. Was going to get the nine degree, so glad I changed my mind and bought the 7.5. the club is forgiving sounds great off the face and launches when you hit one on the sweet spot. Hell ya this is going to be my year.
Thx for the. video! I just did the PXG fitting and ordered my “x” model. If I can hit it as well as I was hitting during the fitting I’m going to have some fun shaving strokes in 2022 and beyond!
You’d get more speed and distance with a higher lofted driver and a flatter swing. No way you should be in a 7.5 degree head at your speed. It only works because you are adding so much dynamic loft with an arms only swing. A better swing at 10 degrees will blow away the results you’re getting. Tour pros don’t play heads with so little loft, except guys like Dechambeau.
Very interesting review ‼️ I own both drivers. Played the 0811X Proto the past 2 years (12°). Hit it an average of 260y with some 280y bombs, hitting 10/14 fairways. Have you tried a 12° face❓I think you're missing the benefits of more loft = more carry = more distance with greater control.
Where did you get fitted? I’m new to golf and it seems you can only buy this driver online directly form PXG. They don’t have it at Dicks or golf galaxy
I have the 811x proto it's a very consistent club and since I like a certain swing weight pxg clubs can be adjusted more than any other brand. Lots of hossle adjustments too. I've had many professional fittings and the shaft and swing affect launch more than the head. You can also adjust the LIE of the club. With the new pricing pxg products are clearly superior to the other brands do to their pricing adjustability and quality. I have hybrids and woods too. Getting an iron fitting in a few months
It's most likely due to how he's swinging (not the autoflex shaft as he states). Chances are he's going into the upswing while leaning too far back. You can see in the video that he's actually losing balance after each swing meaning he probably doesn't have a great stance (also indicative of leaning too far back).
Swing doesn’t look bad I’d say that shorter stick has taken 20 yards from you but I know the struggle of the long driver as someone that’s vertically challenged myself I play a ping in 8.5 degrees “stock length” with a 2 plain swing in order to crush 300 or better
You need a senior shaft and 11-12 loft at your club speed or try a regular shaft with 10.5 too get way better results … you have a swing speed of a average woman (no disrespect) but these tips will help you …
I like the review and enjoyed the observations. You mentioned at one point trying different shafts and I think you mentioned Mitsubishi. Are there shafts you like better than PXG shafts.
I’m probably not good enough to detect performance differences but I really like lighter shafts. So I like the evenflow Riptide 50 gram shafts that they come with but I’m using a 42 gram AutoFlex shaft at the moment.
Try letting the folks at PXG fit you into the right head. I think you would end up in the XF and somewhere around 10.5*. I’ve not been following long but I’d wager you’d hit a 5 wood further than that 7.5* driver, due to launch conditions.
Generally, you’re spot on, Nick. If I play a regular flex shaft, I play it at 10.5 degrees. That gives me about a 17 degree launch angle. However, when I play the autoflex shaft, it tends to give me another 3 degrees of loft, so I’ll play it around 8(ish) degrees for a similar launch angle. The autoflex can be a little finicky depending on the head weight… far more sensitive than typical shafts.
Great comparison test with very good details. Like the Autoflex shaft, but not sure if an extra 15 yards would b worth getting a new driver (IMO). Keep up the videos. U may have “Panda” followers, u just don’t know it yet.
lol...8 months is "really old?" Dude... consumerism much? At distances under 200 yds, maybe put that money into some lessons and spend some time at the range instead of making excessively drawn-out videos about every minute detail of every aspect of a golf club you don't reap the benefits of. hmmmm

I recently got fit for the gen 4 x at 9.5 degrees and a hzrdus smoke rdx black shaft.

Lol so true 7.5 is for your use only damn near
Unless he has like a positive 9* angle of Attack, I’m figuring he’s flipping at impact adding a bunch of loft.
I about fell out of my chair when he said 7.5 degrees down to maybe 6 lol. Yikes bro haha.
Just a note... the clubs are on sale right now for $299. I just ordered the X version, can't wait to try it!
It's crazy that it makes a PXG the affordable club, Harvey! I think you're going to love it!
Just purchased the 0811 XF Driver from Canada. Even with the $100 shipping it's a solid deal.
Right now they’re $220 free shipping.
WOW! It looks like you hit the driver off the deck!
The 0811 line is $220 plus tax shipped @ PXG right now folks! Quite a few shaft and grip options with and without up charge too!!!!
I just ordered one yesterday, hopefully I’m not waiting too long.

Try the heavier weights in the front sometime. That can bring your launch angle lower
Got fit yesterday for Gen4 X, very excited. Also got 1 for each of my kids, 17, 13. XT, XF respectfully.
Where did you get fitted? I’m new to golf and it seems you can only buy this driver online directly form PXG. They don’t have it at Dicks or golf galaxy
Just bought a gen 4 driver 0811 x, got to say it's taken a long time for a driver to replace my taylormade M2!!
New golfer here. Thanks for the content.
Hey there. Quick question. Why is the bottom of the club so beat up? Is the material they use prone to scratches and scrapes?
Great review, test the new tour edge driver !
I have the 811x proto

The gen 4 0811 is $220 plus tax free shipping at PXG right now fyi 😮 just ordered one.
Peter you’re a beast! Thank you
You rock!
how much did you buy it for
i have a 10.5 proto and i still launch it around 12 degrees. on the course i’ll definitely hit it lower if i’m a little off
Acoustics sound so good.
Why 7.5 degrees with slow swing speed ?

Great video. Tempted to try a Gen4.
Do you want to sell the Proto?

Proto is phenomenal but I ditched it for the Gen 4 I love it
Great Review!

Great Stuff!!! ;) Loved your review!!!
Thanks so much, Willie!!
189.00 on PXG US right now. Their pricing is the best
Is that the Vernon Hills store?
Yup!
Seems like a no brainer with the prices going down(hero prices even better) but I'm not sold on the looks of the crown. I wish it was still all black.
They’re $220 free shipping @ PXG right now and lots of shaft and grip options. Tough not to try one. I am.

@@petervonpanda Where did you buy the additional shaft?

let's see that swing! the camera angle down by the ball isn't good
Best video

Best driver. If ur not playing this drive. U r falling behind
Let me grab my old driver it's really really old, it's like 6 months old?
Mine is 6 years old and thought it was still new. 😆
Ha ha. You busted me
I'm still hitting an old Taylormade R9!
Wow. You beat the crap out of your drivers. LOL
79 mph? Come on man

Overpriced and underachieving, if u don't good swing speed u will never get the max out of it, save ur money
All drivers are overpriced
