This video is so paramount! Mentor/ Mentee relationships are severely important. You need to be around like minded individuals in order to grow. Issa I salute you and all that you are doing.
It's so amazing how far Issa has come and what she's built. But it's in no way surprising. I remember when I first discovered Awkward Black Girl as a sophomore in college. I also remember jonesin for the next episodes and season premieres like a fiend. I still rock my Bitches Be Trippin t shirt. 😋I'm just so proud of you!!! I love that you're sharing how you're building and giving some insight on the inner workings of the biz. It's super inspiring and makes me more hopeful with my own ambitions. As a person of color, what you and your team is doing is SO important. 🤗
This video was so encouraging, inspiring, and motivating. I love you all and wish nothing but success for each and every member of the team! Hope I can even meet, and work with one of y'all some day.
Thank you for making me feel batter about myself, I'm 22 years old and I'm doing a degree that I don't fully enjoy. I'm planning to start a degree that I enjoy next year. Letting me know that not everyone has it all figured out and I should explore new things, I'm actually doing that now. I am very much interested in a career in sports and entertainment for sure. I love the fact that the work environment is not that serious, everyone is comfortable and that everything is team orientated and the perks that come with it like attending music or sports events as a part of work, lol. I just don't know what exactly I want to do in the industry, but I'm more into media and interviews and also the producer role. I'm still unsure though.
AHHHH i want to meet you guys. this makes me feel connected. one year behind, but this video contains key reminders that we sometimes forget. likeminded people are hard to find if we don't go out searching for them. thank you guys for sharing your story.
If you guys love the real and raw content Issa puts out, I think a lot of you would like alexis belon. She's a new york based youtuber, who shows her raw life as a young person in New York
Thank you, you make great points! What I want to know is how to manage my time between honing my craft, networking and promoting myself, especially for those of us out here still working day jobs and/or raising kids?
this channel is my mentorship tbh
I haven't finished this video. I just need to express how happy I am for you Issa!!!!!!!! I will never get a bootleg copy of your show lmao ✊🏿❤️
Issa you're amazing! If I could choose a mentor, it would be you :).

I'm a communications graduate student at Northwestern University looking for a summer internship for 2017. Do you all offer positions? Huge fan.
Did Daisy have a brief role in the series as the interviewer for a job in which Jay applied? She looks familiar! I think that's her.
Please lol
Is white women excluded from this network circle? if so why? We face a lot of discrimination from men and are looking in build in a similar fashion.
