Terrence and I hung out and talked, a few times in the 90s. He was an unassuming and funny guy, and I had no clue who he was. I am glad that I didn't know who he was, because the conversations may have been less organic. I still didn't know who he was, until many years after he went on, so thanks for the videos. He's not a study for me, but rather, a not so uncommon person, who had the courage and skill to relate to what most of us know, but may self censor, for fear of ridicule.

Imagine to have such experiences being 100% sober ;) It was last year. I live in Poland. We heat our houses by means of different kinds of furnaces. In my particular case I use coal and the furnace is equipped with a conveyer screw so the process is the most efficient with the lowest emission possible. Around November last year it started to troll me a lot. The conveyer screw used to stop from time to time. I had to push it by hands to keep it moving. At the end I had to walk down to my basement every hour to help it to keep moving. The story is that during the night, while I was sleeping the furnace was working perfectly for many hours. The moment I was walking down the first time of the day it got blocked in front of my own eyes. Creepy feeling. It was like some kind of unseen helpers were pushing the screw for me while I was sleeping. So, I decided to talk to them to help me to fix it. After a couple of days I fixed with no problem doing everything alone. Ask them for help whenever you really need it. It works. Those beings are among us all the time. Psychedelics only make them visible to us.
These weird moments seem to come out or be highlighted on psychedelics. I had a pretty horrible acid trip one time, in an unfamiliar place and a car. We had tried to walk to a tree line to hang hammocks in a beautiful hiking area but after coming up so hard and fast we just went back to our car. I was already having trouble talking to people after just an hour. But I’ll never forget it, I was sitting in this car watching the people drive by… and this little white sub-compact pulls up with two men inside, apparently twin brothers, both wearing blue athletic shorts and small khaki ball caps. They hop out of the car, get some water out of the trunk, and waddle off down the trail. Both were utterly identical, wearing the exact same clothes, very short and round like little dwarves. It was the most ludicrous thing I’ve ever seen, the concept of people behaving like this was a total revelation to my acid brain. I didn’t tell my friends about it until later when we came down.
Great upload, I'm impressed by your catalogue of TM clips. I had gotten a bunch from some torrent many years ago but lost access to the talks. Your collection seems to have surpassed it regardless

First story was the best one to tell on family gatherings or camping at night. I would like to tell a spooky story I heard when a kid. Uncle of the person telling me the story went hiking with a group. A group of four including him lost touch with the group and were lost. They kept moving in circles and eventually it was dusk. As it was getting darker, they kept looking for a spot to rest for the night. It was pitch dark now but they found a spot they could light a fire and rest. They built a fire and kept talking and discussing about what they should do tomorrow morning. But one friend was not feeling well and wanted to rest against something. He said there's a nice slant rock in the distance and go there. Others shrugged and said he should stay with the group at the exact spot. He obliged, they slept there for the night. Next morning when they woke up, the person saw where he wanted to recline was a steep cliff. Disclaimer: This was told to me as a kid so I might not remember as it was told to me. Also this was in my native tongue so a lot of the flavour and symbolism will be lost in the translation. I'm not a good storyteller and nor do I claim this is believable or frankly that interesting. But it is my memory and as a kid I really found it spooky.

I guess I am seriously resonating up realities because my tool of choice was Hawaiian baby woodrose and I used to listen to mckenna a lot at the beginning of my journey, he never talked about HBWR before, but in the realities I resonate into i perceive him talking more and more about the things I experience.
I ordered Baby Hawaiian wood rose seeds from an ad in the back of High Times in 1979 when I was 16yrs old. I used an extraction method I found in a book my friend had called The Whole drug Manufacturers Catalog by Darth Chewbacca. To this day my friends talk of the day I poisoned them. We had to talk each other out of going to the hospital. Good times!!
I just wanted to comment that thanks to a phycedelic, I have a nickname solely from lsd. My nickname is Hovis because one time I took around 500ug and tried to make a sandwich but then I became part of the bread and it was Hovis bread I was using. The ego dissolution was very high. It was very difficult to differentiate "I" myself from the bread, they were intertwined of the same thing. It was so confusing at the time because I thought I was making a sandwich of me.
My grandma told me that she used to take mushrooms and have crazy encounters with wild animals like deer. She believed that a lot of animals have some kind of sixth sense and what the mushrooms did was remove fear. The deer would approach her and allow her to pet them. And have a close connection.

But maybe he just smelt something interesting

In the third story, it tells about our innate pattern seeking nature. That decision we make to pursue uncovering a possible pattern. The stones however, could've been simply placed by some human activity.
Before I knew who Terence McKenna was, I was in the dining area of my local 24x7 supermarket, working on my computer late at night, when in came 3 druggie types, young but all sporting big beards and lots of hair, ALL talking with the exact mannerisms and delivery as Terence McKenna. The local Terence McKenna fan club had somehow found me and provided a few weeks of entertainment as I subtly mocked their nerdiness (which - very McKenna-like - they were very good sports about).
Moral of the story, which is why I don't advocate this at all: do hard drugs and crazy shit happens. What a shocker. Keep your head clean boys and girls.
