Hello Francesco, so there are two parts to the key. This video shows you how to code in the buttons which you can do if you follow the video. However, there is also a small chip inside. This needs to be coded so the car will start. Unfortunately a computer in needed to do this

Hi Hamish, if the car let's you know it's ready for the key, then the key is either wrong, or it's not transmitting. Best get it checked that a signal is coming out of it

I would really like a flip key for my Celica but the kits that a I have purchased online are all really cheap and nasty and I haven't found one I have decided to use. Can I attach an aftermarket (or genuine) toy43 blade to the Aygo key and are the remotes and transponders compatible? I know the Aygo remote is 433mhz so it should work with mine (same as Celica) but I'm not sure. Thanks for reading :)
Hi Angelarius. Nice idea, because as you say, the ebay flip key kits are pretty poor quality, and these keys look ok. Well you have a couple problems doing what you want to do. Firstly, the blade type is different, so you'd have to modify this somehow. However, more importantly, the electronics fro your Celica key will not fit into this type of key. So I would say no. If anyone finds an ebay flip key that can be adapted, and is good quality, feel free to post a link here. This may help Sorry I can't help you more

Hi, no sorry. The programmimg on a Picasso fob is different, it happens automatically when the chip is coded using diagnostics. However it sounds like you simply have a switch that is broken or missing. If it will unlock the car, then it's already programmed. Get someone local to check it out. It sounds like it just needs repairing

Hi Amelia. It sounds like you are getting the car into programming mode which is good, but for some reason your car isn't hearing your key. This can either be because the battery is flat, or in the wrong way round, or there is something else wrong, like a damaged key. Have you had the key checked by anyone to see if a signal is coming out? If you go to your local Timpsons, or key cutting shop they should be able to check it
I am in Spain waiting for keys to arrive from Citroen Madrid to Denia But three weeks later they are not here. I am now told by a key expert that the garage in Denia, although I’ve paid for the keys to be programmed, will be unable to program them. Communication is impossible as they speak only Spanish. I got my car towed up to the garage to make it quicker. I’m leaving in four days time but I haven’t got a car. If they are unable to program the keys would I be able to do what you just showed in this video myself? Or will they need to be first programmed with a computer?

Hi Stephen. If it worked before, then you need to find out if the key is sending out a signal. Have you got a local key cutting shop that can check? There's nothing clever you need to do other than what you have described

I have a 2008 Toyota aygo and I believe the key has lost sync with the car due to replacing the battery, I have tried to re sync by using the mothod in the video and turning the ignition on and holding both buttons for ten seconds however it doesn't seem to cync up... When I use the method in the video the lock cycles twice but once I press the buttons nothing happens? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I did not want to use the expensive key with the brand new car and this made it my spare so if lost i dont spend massive amounts thanks do you know if other Toyota key fobs can be used and how many
so, if you can find a remote from an old Aygo, C1 or 108, the model before yours, you can programme that up to operate the central locking and have it as a separate fob

Hi. Well there are a couple of things that need doing. Firstly, the buttons can be coded using the following video ua-cam.com/video/fCiJiR4RF-c/v-deo.html Don't worry that the key looks different, I'm pretty sure the method is the same. The problem you'll have is that the key has a chip inside and that can only be programmed with a computer. So it may be worth tracking down an Auto Locksmith to help you with this
Hi James. Firstly, there are a lot of these vans that do not have the option to have a central locking key. Next, if it can then it needs cutting and coding on using a diagnostics computer. It's not something you can do yourself, sorry

Hi James, sorry for the delay in answering, I missed your comment. The only way to find out is to ask a dealer, or local independent Auto-Locksmith and they will do a parts check from your reg or vin. This will tell them if it has the module for a remote key.

Hi, well you need to replace the case and by the sound o it the switches too. It's a simple fix if you have a fine soldering iron and have the soldering skills, but if you don't you may ruin the key.

Hi, yes, depending on several things. Firstly, is the car fitted with remote central locking? There are a lot of C1, 107 and Aygo that are very basic and do not have this function. Yes, you can just programme the buttons to work the central locking, but the chip needs to be coded with a computer. However, you could just use the China key as a separate fob on teh same key ring!

Hi Emma, yes. On your Aygo, if it's a 2008 model, a new remote will programme up fine. It's just the manual procedure. Once you get the circuit board working the doors you then need to decide whether to keep it as a separate fob, or swap the small black chip from the old key case into the new one. Does that make sense? You must take care removing the old black chip, as if you break it, you're in trouble. However, they normally come out ok.
Hello. The chip on a Peugeot 407 has to be coded using a diagnostic machine. Once the key is cut, you'll also needa a 4 digit pin number. This pin number is used to get security access. Once the chip is coded, the buttons will work automatically
Hi Helen. That's a bit odd. The key doesn't talk to each individual door, it communicates with a small computer on the car. When the car hears the key, it tells all the doors to unlock and lock. Do the lights flash and can you hear the locks move when you press the key buttons?

Hello, The remote is coded in when the chip is programmed. You just turn the ignition on and hold one of the buttons down for 10 seconds to synchronise it

Hi dickie, I don't know if a prox key can be re-used on this model. They can be re-used on some Ford cars. I think it will be a case of asking someone to try with diagnostics, as they cannot be coded manually as far as I know.

The Car Key Man I changed the battery in the fob after having an anti theft warning in the car. Performed bsi reset and made sure the sh fuse is in the correct position. Everything is now working apart from the central locking using the keys buttons. Have done the resync (holding for 10 secs) with no result. The system recognises the key as an audible is sounded if I leave them in the ignition. The spare key also has no effect. Is there something else I could try? Many thanks.
Hi Robert, the Anti theft warning is usually the sign of a key that is starting to fail. The key breaks down and the chip signal starts to become erratic. Does the car start?

Worked on toyota aygo 2018. The key was not responding anymore. Now it works fine.

Ok, well the remote side is easy to code in using the video method. It will only work if it's a 107 or 108. However it won't programme the chip.

I have a 2008 Toyota aygo and I believe the key has lost sync with the car due to replacing the battery, I have tried to re sync by using the mothod in the video and turning the ignition on and holding both buttons for ten seconds however it doesn't seem to cync up... When I use the method in the video the lock cycles twice but once I press the buttons nothing happens? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Jordan. The method in the video will work, but it sounds like the car isn't hearing the key. Did it work before changing the key battery?

so, if you can find a remote from an old Aygo, C1 or 108, the model before yours, you can programme that up to operate the central locking and have it as a separate fob
But what I was trying to find out if the other Toyota remotes different to that will work

Hi. Well there are a couple of things that need doing.
Firstly, the buttons can be coded using the following video ua-cam.com/video/fCiJiR4RF-c/v-deo.html Don't worry that the key looks different, I'm pretty sure the method is the same.
The problem you'll have is that the key has a chip inside and that can only be programmed with a computer.
So it may be worth tracking down an Auto Locksmith to help you with this

Hi James. Firstly, there are a lot of these vans that do not have the option to have a central locking key. Next, if it can then it needs cutting and coding on using a diagnostics computer.

Hi James, sorry for the delay in answering, I missed your comment.
The only way to find out is to ask a dealer, or local independent Auto-Locksmith and they will do a parts check from your reg or vin.
This will tell them if it has the module for a remote key.
I only have on key for my peugeot 107 and the buttons are broken and I think the electronic chips inside doesn’t work aswell is there any way i could fix this myself ?

Hi, well you need to replace the case and by the sound o it the switches too. It's a simple fix if you have a fine soldering iron and have the soldering skills, but if you don't you may ruin the key.

Hi, yes, depending on several things. Firstly, is the car fitted with remote central locking? There are a lot of C1, 107 and Aygo that are very basic and do not have this function.
Yes, you can just programme the buttons to work the central locking, but the chip needs to be coded with a computer. However, you could just use the China key as a separate fob on teh same key ring!

Hi Emma, yes. On your Aygo, if it's a 2008 model, a new remote will programme up fine. It's just the manual procedure.
Once you get the circuit board working the doors you then need to decide whether to keep it as a separate fob, or swap the small black chip from the old key case into the new one. Does that make sense?
You must take care removing the old black chip, as if you break it, you're in trouble.
However, they normally come out ok.

Hello. The chip on a Peugeot 407 has to be coded using a diagnostic machine. Once the key is cut, you'll also needa a 4 digit pin number. This pin number is used to get security access. Once the chip is coded, the buttons will work automatically

Hi Helen. That's a bit odd. The key doesn't talk to each individual door, it communicates with a small computer on the car.
When the car hears the key, it tells all the doors to unlock and lock.
Do the lights flash and can you hear the locks move when you press the key buttons?

Hello, The remote is coded in when the chip is programmed. You just turn the ignition on and hold one of the buttons down for 10 seconds to synchronise it

Hi dickie, I don't know if a prox key can be re-used on this model. They can be re-used on some Ford cars. I think it will be a case of asking someone to try with diagnostics, as they cannot be coded manually as far as I know.

The Car Key Man I changed the battery in the fob after having an anti theft warning in the car. Performed bsi reset and made sure the sh fuse is in the correct position. Everything is now working apart from the central locking using the keys buttons. Have done the resync (holding for 10 secs) with no result. The system recognises the key as an audible is sounded if I leave them in the ignition. The spare key also has no effect. Is there something else I could try? Many thanks.
Hi Robert, the Anti theft warning is usually the sign of a key that is starting to fail. The key breaks down and the chip signal starts to become erratic. Does the car start?
