Hey, I take this road almost every weekend. It is one of my favorite road to go for a chill cruise and sometimes when I feel like hooligan too lol. Next time you should take the highway 35 to highway 9, it is a lot of fun and scenic.
I've riding La Honda, all 14 miles of it from Highway 1 to Alice's since 1992. I usually ride it (weather permitting) 4-6 times per week and holidays even more frequently. While I appreciate some of the videos you've submitted, they can sometimes be visually deceptive, and this is one of those videos. You've edited out some stretches of it and I'm only halfway thru this vid. The road is composed of four parts; sweepers from the coast and it begins to tighten in Slime Gully before the Pescadero turnoff, then Applejack's, the fire station, then it begins to get technical, stretches out for ~1.5 miles and it continues with tight -er turns all the way to Alice's and the intersections of 84x35. New or unfamiliar riders should be VERY cautious with the 4-way stop - tourists run the stop sign while riders/vehicles on 35 have right-of-way and won't slow down charging down the hill coming highway 9.OK - I watched until the end. This video must not be very recent because it shows a tree in the parking lot that was chopped down two weekends ago.
Ramon, I appreciate your comments and criticism of my videos. Yes, some of my videos are highly edited and I believe that is very clear. I could just throw a gopro on and post a raw video but that's not what I'm doing here. I'm trying to make the best video I can. Something I would like to watch. This day I did 2 complete runs. One with the camera facing me and one not. Then I try to splice it together as seamless as possible. Sometimes I get stuck behind a train of cars or other boring things that no one cares to watch, including me, and I cut that trash out. These are just entertaining videos that showcase a road. I think it's better to leave some for the rider to explore anyway. For me that's half the fun... The unknown and exploration. There's only one way to get familiar with a road.. you have to ride it. I always recommend a SLOW lap first. Hope to hear more of your helpful info in the future. Thanks man.
@B-LeeRides I can see that. But shit it's hard to beat leaving Alice's and hitting the tighter corners under the trees and watching the road open into sweepers and meeting the ocean at the end. So many good roads in that area.
This is a great Road and a lot of fun best part is if you go flying off the side there isn't too much stuff to hit. During the pandemic this road was great cops weren't pulling over anyone for any reason.
Amazing roads bro im jelous. I take it thats in individual mode with engine breaking at 1 ? See on mine im up and down that box fast(probably too fast) 5th gear pulls like a train. Then again the roads in the uk I usually fly about in dynamic mode.My individual preferance is engine map 1, wheelie control off everything else the same as dynamic.
I've played with a bunch of different settings and I think my individual is pretty much the same as dynamic except TC down to 4 and WC off. They pretty much nailed it with most of the settings. The thing makes peak horsepower around 10,500 so I have my shift light set at 10,200 so by the time I react, it's in the sweet spot. I guess I mostly go off sound now. But I wanted to learn to shift it right there. Love to hear it man! Thanks for the comment
@@flipkoofx1137 Thank you, I'm still alive! Im working on one right now that's 'visually' the best I've done. Hopefully it will be up by tomorrow. I have a bunch of footage, its just finding the time to edit. Also, I have some coming with other riders in them. I hope all is well with you too.
@@B-LeeRides looking fwd to seeing it. I went to mt diablo south gate today for the first time. Those twisties are tight 😅. Everytime a go to places you post I always say to myself “B-Lee was here” 😁

I watched a ton of your videos and now I’m picking up the RS660 Extrema on Monday 😂
@Reivbv Oh nice, Congrats! You're going to love it. Aprilia needs to hook me up. I'm basically a salesman at this point hahaha
@@B-LeeRides you should definitely ask Aprilia for a sales commission 🤣
I've never ridden La Honda in this direction, and it seems so strange. Im gonna have to try it now
Yeah, to me it feels better that way. It's slightly uphill for most of it, which I like.
