Colleen, you are a lifesaver!!! thankyou so much for this loopy video..my daughter was asked by a uni friend to alter an op shop wedding dress; removing the zipper was easy, but this was a real brain teaser; but you saved the day, all the way to Australia.
Thank you for the compliment Kathleen, and for sharing your story.
Thank you for this easy and flawless technics. I was always intimidated by button loops.Thank you again.
Not exactly what I was looking for, but a well made video. Very informative and clever. Thank you.
Thank you Jo, and for taking the time to comment.
I just made my first button loops yesterday for an American Girl doll outfit. Wish I would have seen this first. Thanks for another outstanding video. I'm about halfway through your videos and have several hours left to go through. I've enjoyed, and learned something from, every one of them. Thank you!
I just have to say a big THANK YOU! I always made a mess of button loops so I absolutely hated them. I am going to try this method. You are great. You got me blind hem stitching after watching your tutorial, now I am on to button loops!
Thank you so much for your continued support.
Thanks so much for taking the time to leave such a nice comment.
This is the best tutorial on Rouleau loops that I've watched! My granddaughter's wedding dress came to small in the bodice. I am a sewist but have never done a corset type bodice before so I thought I'd do Rouleau loops on her dress. This video is very helpful to make her dress fit and she feel good at the same time. Thank you so much for sharing your skill.
Thank you for sharing your story, it's nice to know that I have helped you sew amazing rouleau loops.
This is so incredibly helpful. Very clever trick with the paper and tape!
Happy to be of some help.
thank you so much for the excellent and well done video. the only thing I might suggest to include when you edit this video is to include information on cutting and sewing the spaghetti straps. thanks Ma in California 12/10/15
super duper helpful. thank you so much for sharing
Thank you for commenting Michelle.
That will be shown in a little more detail in an up and coming tutorial video. Thanks.
Wow this would have been great when I was making my dress in high school. I made so many of these and then had to put a ribbon in the back. It looked uneven as uneven could be. Thanks for the video.
That is brilliant! Thank you for the tip! So simple! Why didn't I think of that?
My pleasure.
Thank you 😊

Haha. So glad I can help. Thanks
she used two sided sticky tape to hold loops on to paper, then sandwiched the paper between the fabric and sewed as normal. then ripped paper away when finished.
you are the best! thanks for this video
Thank you for commenting grillandy.
Great video. I used stick pins (nightmare that was). Thanks for the sewing tip will come in very handy.
I have bought a serger. But I also have a regular sewer. Can buttonholes be made on a serger? or do i still need to use my sewer for that? Can you help.

No problem

Glad I could be of help Alin Ginting! Thanks for commenting.
I would like to make button loops for a little girls dress (size 4) . how wide do you think i should make the loops?
Button holes (as far as I know) can only be done on a sewing machine and not a serger. Sergers simply don't have the button hole function.
Haha. Thanks for sharing.
Hi, I did not get the part on how to attach the loops from the paper to the fabric... :-(
lovely
Thank you.
What about the double sided tape? Stays or you tear a part?
