The Writers of the show turning Mad Sweeney from a Leprechaun into Lugh hits so damn hard. Playing into the idea of the Catholic church obliterating Gaelic heritage. The warrior king reduced into a gold-plucking joke over time who confuses his memories of who he truly is.
I wish Pablo didn't leave :( this show is done without sweeney. He is by FAR the fan favorite and at this point, the only thing that kept most people watching.
Yeah they dropped good actors and i think the show really suffered after that but from what i heard behind the scenes was a mess so maybe it was inevitable
Mad Sweeney reminds me of my deceased husband. 6 years this December. 6'7 240 similar looking especially when he'd grow his hair out. Sorry for rambling, Would love to see Mad Sweeney get a prequel at least. Especially if they kept Pablo Schreiber.
Mad Sweeny is really a great character. Pablo Schreiber is a great actor too. the mark of a great actor is that you don’t know it’s them until you read the credits! Schreiber has many roles like that!

It's a pity that Mad Sweeney died, I think he's one of the favourite fans characters (also mine), but I'm happy that he had such a beatiful storyline...He deserved it, since in the book it's not very developed.
The edit is magnificent. You did an amazing job on capturing him and all he is in one single video. He is one of my favourite characters in the show and i was so happy to see this video is my sub box.
I have for hope for him. They already put so much effort and detail into expanding his character past his arc in the novel. Why would they want to throw away such an amazing character? Perhaps Laura’s voodoo cure will work on Sweeney 🤷🏻♀️ Anyway, amazing character study!!!! 💙

I really don’t care about Shadow! The best character is Sweeney. This show should be about him and if they don’t bring him back...big mistake. I heard his not going to be in season 3. Such a big mistake. 2 other great characters are not returning too, so I’m probably not going to watch season 3. The first season was really good and season 2 had one good storyline: Sweeney and his little zombie. Their chemistry is amazing! Him dying and her reaction...I don’t know why he’s not in the show anymore...I always thought killing Carl on TWD was the biggest mistake in TV history, but maybe killing Sweeney is the next one.

I was so disappointed with how this show ended. I really thought that in season 4 Sweeney and Laura would have reunited once she realized she loved him back...I was holding out hope that Pablo would be back. Season three was so terrible. Such a waste of talent.
the line just before that 'HOW DID THIS SHIT HAPPEN?!' is my favourite Sweeney moment; he's not pissed because Laura is in bits on the road, but just realised he cares. That and it sums up his life pretty well
With Pablo not being in Season 3 and the show being discontinued after season 3... no wonder. Without mad Sweeney it's boring. Shadow did not really stand out despite being one of the main characters. He's to weak, in terms of development, still naive as in the first season

I aspire to be more like him. And it took a while to work out why he didn't like Jesus but then it made total sense.
Pablo nailed this role as Sweeney. I really struggled with season three without his character as he was by far the most likeable.
