I bought a Yamaha P35 and the 2nd Electric Piano sound is a Rhodes. I know it's no original in anyway, but I love it! I feel like I could just play forever. Sound is so sweet! :) Nice sound cat :)
If you are intersted in investing a little more, Keyscape by Spectrasonics created a pretty sick software that reproduces famous pianos. Look it out it's worth the shot. Im no pianist and i ended up buying a P35 to use as a midi controller and keyscape to give me high quality sounds. belive me, its like diving into the sea,
thanks very much - the rhodes is a mighty beast.. it's not delay though, rhodes call it vibrato, it's the mono signal bouncing back and forth between the 2 speakers. x
wow that rhodes sounds amazing, and the vibrato its just too much goodness. would you mind if i took a sample from the audio and put it toghether (sorry for the bad spelling if any) into an instrumental beat? i do not sell this type of thing, i upload them to my soundcloud. anyway great jam great chords
Rhodes & Wurlitzers generate sound in the same way, with a hammer hitting a tine. Different companies so different approaches. I don't know if you can get a suitcase wurli - i could be wrong.
that tremolo covered my ears with a old and cozy blanket
Unbelievable. This is my new video for when I try and explain to people how lush and expressive the Rhodes is. Just gorgeous work.
Thanks
sounds great!
after you warm up it sounds mello and nice
Gotta love the Rhodes. Good work!

How is a Rhodes different from a Wurlitzer?

@@RobbieKnightlongcat actually after researching this, one strikes tines, the other uses reeds.
