Neuse river basin, Stacked up Sea Trout in Transition.

In this episode, we target speckled sea trout in transition. Every year from early fall to early winter, these fish migrate from the ocean and big rivers, into the back creeks to hold over for winter. Before they make it to the creeks they will stage up in very large schools around bait and structures like bridges to feed up. Regardless of where you live in the country, if there's speckled sea trout they will do the same thing year after year.
They can move a lot from the mouths of creeks, back into the rivers and or somewhere in-between from one day to the next but if or when you find them it can be some of the best fishing of the year.
Speckled sea trout are one of the most difficult and interesting fish because of their movements and sometimes picky feeding behaviors. When the bite is really on you could catch them on almost anything but when its not you might have to through every thing you have at them to find a bite.
