I would consider myself a pretty good artist, I can pretty much copy draw anything on an image. But I have never used a air brush… it looks so cool… and the possibilities look endless…

I have some questions Master. when you apply the primer, black gs03 and magenta 034 paints, it would be 50%-50% mixed, or you apply them one after the other. for the application of clear ex03 you need to mix it with the thinner or not. how do you do and what do you use to dilute the maziora pleiades 2 paint. thank you very much, best painting I've seen on the internet
Thank you so much for your compliments. First of all, the mixing ratio of the black & magenta paints is about 50%-50% as you said. (In addition, I mistakenly said GS-03, but it is actually EX-02 whitch is gloss black, not primer.) When I dilute EX-clear I add the same amount of thinner as the paint to make it slightly thicker. This is to ensure sufficient coating thickness. Maziora Pleiades 2 is diluted like regular paint, adding 1.5 to 2 times the amount of thinner as the paint. Sorry if the explanation is difficult to understand, as English is not my native language.

This is a beautiful build!! Curious though, what pressure are you running your airbrush? Not sure if it's just the audio pickup, but the pressure sounds really high.
Thanks! Pressure depends on how dilute the paint is. For example, the first clear coat is a thick paint with a dilution rate of 100%, so the pressure should be high; the final clear before polishing has a dilution rate of 400%, so the pressure should be lowered. I use a compressor with a maximum pressure of 4.0 kgf/cm2 (4Bar / 57 psi), which I feel is sufficient for scale models.
Hi I’m looking into transitioning into this hobby from gunpla. What’s some tips and supplies should I grab like what’s the bare minimum so I know a place to start. I know it’s a old vids but any forums or tips would be appreciated thanks
So you already have the basic tools right? The tools you need are not that different from gunpla, but the car models are painted glossy, so you will need polishing tools. I recommend the tools shown in the video if these are possible to purchase, but if not, you will need to find a substitute.

You ought to lightly sand the tire treads to give them a touch more realism. 1000 grit should do nicely.

I use GSI Creos T-108 LEVELING THINNER for gloss paint and Gaianotes NP-003h for matte paint.
