an option for your live bait is get it before you go out, eg on the way to the ramp. There is a drain just off Aeroglen Drive, where it joins the Capt Cook Highway. It runs parallel to the train tracks. Top place to cacth mullet and there are often a few prawns as well

I think the 9 foot net is the best for casting out oif your boat mate. I have that and a 7 foot and they seem to do the job.
