Have been in Split airport about 20 times but never in Split City... so now I am... and THIS video just seems very sensible and with practical tips. Thanks. Gave me food for thought!
Bačvice is not the only sandy beach in Split, there are 2 more (at least) - Firule beach which is 200 meters to the east from Bacvice and Bene which are on the tip of Marjan park peninsula :) Also there are kilometers of sandy beaches some 20 km from Split (Duče - Omiš) ...

I vacation off the beaten paths...and away from the crowds.
Luckily Croatia is still very open. I have never seen these signs:
"Keep out", "No trespassing", "Private property", or
"Trespassers will be shot, and survivors will be shot again".
But now that Croatia is part of EU, it is only a matter of time...
