I miss the days when I was a young weeblet experience anime for the first time. This is one of those animes I sometimes think about banging my head with a rock to try and forget the series to watch it again.
Lol that means you haven't watched enough shows. Once you watch over 200 series you'll start forgetting the shows you've watched early on and then it will be time for a rewatch! I've rewatched Tenchi Muyo GXP, Kiddy Grade and Koihime Musou so far. Planning to rewatch Karin next :P
This was my very first anime, definitely a hidden gem. I come back to it from time to time. I was just a wee 14 year old middle schooler when I first watched it, I'm 29 now. The nostalgia.
I remember I was 6, googling how to draw a chibi vampire. This pops up, now i'm otaku for life. Though I like pretty dark animes like Tokyo ghoul, Ajin, Shiki and death note.
I wanted to sing this song at a school assembly when I was in middle school. I ended up singing Fukai Mori instead, but the memory suddenly came back so I had to hear it again! I ended up studying Japanese in university so it's wild hearing the song now and actually understanding the lyrics. I'm feeling so nostalgic right now.
But what annoys me is that the anime isn't that popular, when it should be!! None of the 'otakus' at my school know this anime ;.; im the only one fangirling over it..
Scarlett Caligoe I hate that too. They know the recent and mainstream ones. People who call themselves 'otakus' and dont know the classic animes such as this one, shouldn't be calling themselves 'otakus'. They need to learn to respect these classics :) by watching why anime became so popular.^^ Because of these.
Scarlett Caligoe Yeah, for a shoujo, it was a very original story. But seriously, read the Manga. Karin and Kenta actually get somewhere in their relationship. The story is also 10 times better That, and Winner isn't there. I never really liked Winner. I always see him as unnecessary comic relief
Ngl this is the kinda song that comes on at a party and it just makes everyone wanna get on the dancefloor bc this shit still slap even after I finished this show back in 2011 and I know of course it being an older anime the manga is vastly different but the anime still has a soft spot in my heart someone. And that's partially thanks to this banger of an opening.

This was legit the first anime I ever watched that spiraled me down the wormhole of anime when I was 13-14. Still love the show and the song, it brings back so much nostalgia.
I remember back in 2019 when I was browsing in a used bookstore in Lexington, Kentucky and came upon a couple Karin novels and manga by pure chance. I thought the MC looked really cute, so I bought it instantly. I started reading it and was entertained, then I looked it up and found out there was an anime for it. One of the funniest and cutest things I've ever seen. I am glad that I came across it.
Found the manga of this in a library today while driving back from my vacation and read a couple volumes. The manga seems interesting, hoping the anime is good as well. This song do be a bop though.

First anime no debate there, got so hyped over it at the time that i could and did fake having a fever cause my temperature raised a degree for real right after listening to intro. Was Quite handy when you feel like skipping school but worked only for a short time.

+Emoji Piggie Actually I like both the manga AND anime. I know the true story of the manga (I have all 14 volumes on my shelf) but I treat the anime as a what-if scenario in a parallel dimension. What if this happened or if the reason for this is different how would that change the story? I don't mind the anime adaptation (besides the ending which I felt was lackluster and lazy) but I do like the manga version better (real vampire battles, more humor, more story, and a pretty damn good ending). What I liked most about the anime adaptation was how they try to bring vampire hunters (which makes perfect sense considering how vampires were forced to Japan) into the story and I thought it was funny seeing Kenta with a rival.

I watched Karin when I was 13, and I think the friend who recommended it to me said she saw it when she was like 8 or 9.... I will say this, it's a very underrated anime, I loved it so much

Karin Chibi Vampire is still a better love story than Twilight. It even started the Vampire teen romance long before Twilight became a thing. So Twilight wasn't the first to start that trend.

This is the *only* anime opening song that gives me chills (the good kind). I guess its nostalgia. Watched the whole dang first season in about 18 hours.
This was one of the manga I read when I was first getting into manga/anime. And I gotta say I *hate* the name they gave the series here in the states. If I didn't first come across this series by its actual name Karin I probably wouldn't have read it. Anyways it was probably how Usui outright accused Karin of being a teen prostitute in the first volume that made me decide to stick with this series, cuz that was just so funny. Of course then came the part where Usui's mom met an actual teen prostitute which was like what. And then grandma showed up and later came Yuriya Tachibana. In the end I wound up reading a series I ended up enjoying more than I'd expected I would with some laughs and tender feelings. And that ending just tugged at my heartstrings. Wish I could say the same for the anime though as regrettable as it is to say... The light novels on the other hand. I only was able to read two of them but shit they got crazy. In the end I pitch this series when I can to people who want to digest some supernatural romance.
I finished this thing in 2 days. It upset me to see how Anju lost her innocence. But the good thing is she did it for Karin. Damn it! I wish there was more to this maybe a second season! Also how Manga i and Karin didn't kiss at all -~-

I watched Karin when I was 13, and I think the friend who recommended it to me said she saw it when she was like 8 or 9.... I will say this, it's a very underrated anime, I loved it so much

Karin Chibi Vampire is still a better love story than Twilight. It even started the Vampire teen romance long before Twilight became a thing. So Twilight wasn't the first to start that trend.

This is the *only* anime opening song that gives me chills (the good kind). I guess its nostalgia. Watched the whole dang first season in about 18 hours.

this was the 100th anime I watched so sad when i finished it but i think it was for the best! :(
the only reason i started watching this anime was because i looked up naruto ep 7 and i stumbled upon this. That changed my life forever. Seriously.
This was one of the manga I read when I was first getting into manga/anime. And I gotta say I *hate* the name they gave the series here in the states. If I didn't first come across this series by its actual name Karin I probably wouldn't have read it.
Anyways it was probably how Usui outright accused Karin of being a teen prostitute in the first volume that made me decide to stick with this series, cuz that was just so funny. Of course then came the part where Usui's mom met an actual teen prostitute which was like what. And then grandma showed up and later came Yuriya Tachibana. In the end I wound up reading a series I ended up enjoying more than I'd expected I would with some laughs and tender feelings. And that ending just tugged at my heartstrings.
Wish I could say the same for the anime though as regrettable as it is to say... The light novels on the other hand. I only was able to read two of them but shit they got crazy.
In the end I pitch this series when I can to people who want to digest some supernatural romance.

Eh, the manga's much better.
I finished this thing in 2 days. It upset me to see how Anju lost her innocence. But the good thing is she did it for Karin. Damn it! I wish there was more to this maybe a second season! Also how Manga i and Karin didn't kiss at all -~-
