I was recently demoing the IFI neo dsd2 beside some other amps. It sounded fine. But I couldn't stop thinking about GoldenSound's reveal video and how a company I like messed up. It made me question whether that device has the power it has to boot. I ended up buying something else, not gonna lie its turned me off their products in general.
Yeah, they really didn't do themselves any favors with the launch. Can't blame you for have some trust broken. I'd say if you have a chance to maybe just try a Diablo at a show or something.
@@MasterMarslander I know it is heresy but for portable audio I just use an old fashioned DAP and efficient headphones, I never understood the market for gobs of power while on the go. I get enough stares from people wearing a wired headphone 😆
they lack 2 most important features for me. 1. parametric EQ to fix some dumb decision meking in my IEM (thanks campfire, your incompetence will remain in history) 2nd. a pleasent relaxed sound.
@@MasterMarslander Fiio does that. You got an app, set the curves as you desire and you can play with it while it is playing so you can hear what you are doing it, and once set you can close the app, and the device will use that profile without you having to open the app every time you want to use the device.

Correction, the first cable is USB-C to Lightning, not Thunderbolt (which is actually a Type-C interface)

A parametric EQ built into the unit? Has anyone done that? That'd be interesting.
