- In the UK, Prime Video will show all fifteen games, RTE will show all Ireland games and Premier Sports will bring all other games to viewers in Ireland. In France TF1 will show all France games and L’Equipe will offer fans access to the other nations games, and in Italy, Sky Italia will continue its support of rugby by showing all games.

Ireland Rugby Team is highly respected in Samoa. Years back Ireland was the only team that was willing to travel to Samoa for a test match. It was a close game and it ended with emotional gift exchanges and the Samoan people loved them during their visits to schools n villages. They even show up to our village gifting some of our village players rugby shoes etc. Goodluck Ireland also to my Manu Samoa. 🇼🇸 🇮🇪
I remember they’d stopped here in Tonga. Miss those days.

I thought the all blacks would probably lose that match but I was not expecting it to be probably the worst defeat in AB history in terms of score line. But Fiji and Samoa looking good.

SAMOAN POWER! There's a reason New Zealand and Australia poach so many players from there. Such a tiny nation always punching above their weight and just bringing physicality few can match. I enjoyed that game as an Irishman
how can you say they were poached when most these PI players were born in oz and nz, some of these players are 2nd and 3rd generation kiwis and ozzies.

These are just a few examples I can think of, many who are regular starters in their teams. There are other examples of young, upcoming players originally from the Islands in Australia and New Zealand.
Not saying there's anything wrong with it, but some research will show you that even though most of those players moved to Australia/New Zealand as a child, they were still born in either Fiji, Tonga or Samoa. But maybe they weren't exactly "poached", they made that decision themselves to play for the All Blacks or Wallabies.
@@stevenh7842 EXACTLY there were some but not all, the majority were still born in New Zealand and Australia. That was a decision that the ones that were born in island was because they had families in those countries. But the comment was mentioned that they were "poached"

Probably the best result for Ireland to have such a big scare right before the world cup, but my god I almost had a heart attack. Samoa were really good so full credit to them on a great game.
Samoa physically were destroying them, vintage Manu. But ireland came out on top. Fair play

It used to be a guarantee that at least half the Samoan team is going to get tired on the hour mark,not anymore.Samoa are vastly improved and very quickly .If the investment continues we will have Tonga Fiji and Samoa up there with the all blacks .Great for rugby .
Oh yeah, we (nz) need some more high level international teams nearby to play against as we can't improve just playing ourselves australia is doing a bit of soul searching at the moment and I hope they get better also.

Its tough when most of that selection were playing to be just included in the panel...most were just focused on giving an individual performance...big change when the regular lads were introduced midway through the second half. No worries. Team selection on Sunday. Actually Healy been injured was a lot worse ...could be out of WC.

What a performance Samoa, they kept the pressure on Ireland and managed to keep the score close. For a team like Ireland, I'd say this was a good test match. All the best from 🇫🇯
I think it's fair to say that the future of world rugby is probably going to have Samoa and Fiji in the top 5 teams in the world, getting harder to beat these guys, great result for Samoa best wishes for the world cup , As an Irish man it's just what we needed, a good stress test.

A fine performance by Samoa going into the world cup peaking ..and I'm not surprised at all, after following their build-up matches from the PNC for the world cup - they are confident now to win wc-pool-matches.
Those carries by Samoa towards the end of the game were absolutely huge! So impressive! Those guys are warriors. Huge respect after that performance.

In all honesty if South Africa doesn't retain the RWC, it would be great for one of the underdog teams like Fiji, Samoa or even Tonga to win the world cup.
I saw this "warm-up" match. WELL DONE to Samoa for playing running rugby. The Second Half provided for MUCH entertainment from the Samoans. The Bayonne ( Basque country, or the South-West of France ) faithful were highly appreciative of Samoa's efforts. Ireland can count itself lucky not to have lost this one.

Considering that they were playing the world number one and had that close score...Samoa did great..they have the capabilities to compete against tier 1 sides...just some more polishing up and its all set
This wasn’t Irelands 1st team. They were missing Johnny Sexton, Tadhg Furlong, Andrew Porter, Dan Sheehan, Jack Conan, James Lowe, Bundee Aki, Jamison Gibson-Park, Hugo Keenan, Ronan Kelleher, Dave Kilcoyne. Most of their 1st team.

I’m glad stockdale had a decent run out. I’m also glad I’m not the one picking the squad…I’d have left him home easily but now I’m unsure who to drop. Big Stu’s error was grave though and there’s plenty of cover at 12.

The weather only excuses a scoreline not higher but Ireland should of been able to beat Samoa by 15 even with the conditions, anyway it's a good learner going into the world cup which id rather. Ireland need to be humbled going into the world cup and I think they got humbled and thankfully so. New Zealand also got humbled by the boks but we know new Zealand can come back

@@kenrehill8775 I was working whilst the game was on but on break I quickly flicked the game and it was pissing rain so I knew straight away maybe a 10-15 point win, but Ireland couldn't do that which is disappointing but we got the win and much needed humble pie. That 1st ranking position will be our undoing we need to dismiss that right now

I have watched very little of Ireland in the summer series but I saw a bit before half time against England and they looked a bit scrappy but just took their chances well or England gave them too many

What a game our toughest test this year! Love watching the Pacific Islanders play rugby, what about that flanker running from his 22 last night! Only crazy Samoans!
Our Islanders will give the big teams a really tough time. One of the biggest improvements I have seen with Fiji, Samoa and Tonga are their confidence during the match is very good. They know what they’re doing. The biggest contributing factor is the super rugby competition where incisions of Pacifika and Drua have built the pacific players up and given them a good exposure.

As an Irish native i want to say fair play to Samoa they played really well, the physicality and deive they had throughout the whole match was impressive especially after hearing they only have played 10 test matches since the last WC. For Ireland it wasnt the best match , yes most of our first team didnt play which im delighted about to prevent injuries however it was still poor from them , yes they won but just about. I think Stewart is in over his head the pressure got to him he had some terrible line outs, crowley wasnt at his best he missed a few conversions and the rain wasnt the problem as we are use to that weather 😂 as soon as herring, o mahony ringrose came on you could see a change straight away and thats the team i wana see in the WC. Im hoping that the best come out to play against SA who are just crushing it at the moment with very few or no injuries 🤞

I know a lot of people are going to hate this comment, but everyone who really knows rugby knows what 2 teams are the real heavyweights of rugby... and no it's not Ireland or France... you will only beat the heavyweights if they are in a bad place or you are lucky, but when they then step up again, well, doesn't matter if you are ranked 1st and one of those 2 are 10th... you are just part of the route back to rank 1 and 2... As annoying as that is, it deserves a lot of respect. Ireland and France are currently in a temporary state of belief and they are both arguably playing the best they ever have. Let's hope the 2 heavyweights don't turn on Beast Mode and allow for a close competitive World Cup🙏🙏🙏 Otherwise we are gearing up for a final that's "ironically" a rematch of Friday night at Twickenham

What a ranking says about a team, and what a betting odd states about one of those 2's chances frankly does not apply to those 2 teams, as they are the 2 heavyweights.
Yes on paper France probably has the best chance, and I hope France play a very good campaign as 1 always has to understand and hope for the best when it comes to a home campaign as it is nice to see for them and the home crowd, but chances are (logically) high that to achieve that they will have to overcome one of the 2 in the end.

This Samoa team looks Exciting, their best team since the 2011-2012 Season. A weak England team has got their work cut out, they got to play a strong Argentina side, an unpredictable Japanese side that can score tries from nothing and a Samoan side that's truly on the rise and closing the gap.
This and the Fijian game really lifted my spirits after getting turkey slapped by the Boks lmao. Praying for success for our Pasifika brothers at the WC.

As an Irish fan this was a very clunky performance from us, Crowley isn’t experienced enough and our front row couldn’t live with the Samoan scrum, Stewart in my opinion has a shit game, could notice a massive shift of form when herring came on, mcklosky, stockdale and Henderson also had a pretty underwhelming game, our subs really saved us as before we were getting bullied up front… shows in a World Cup that you can’t underestimate the pacific teams as tonga, Fiji and Samoa can really cause upsets as they’re so big. A few players will be worrying over selection now

Go Samoa, Ireland aren't behaving like a no1 side at all. These South Pacific teams have got their mojo fully on. The WC is going to be very interesting for a change.
The Samoan team are gracious and respectful but they have to know they almost had that match in the bag (regardless of the rainy conditions). And it really was more Samoa lost it rather than Ireland won it. it will let Ireland camp know (if honest) that there is work to do yet on choice players standing in if someone gets an injury and it will be a very tough road just to get past the WC pool stages, after seeing the SA- ABs game. If Tonga are anywhere near Samoa's physicality then some Ireland players can't live with it based on that performance. I'd be happy now if I was a Samoan or South African supporter. Well done Samoa, you're convincing.

The weather didn't help either side and Samoa were unlucky not to get the win. Ireland look a bit wobbly outside of their first choice 15. Murray is sooo slow at the breakdown. They play better when staying in possession. Is it possible Farrell deliberately played like this in preparation for SA? Big physical team that beat the ABs to death last night. JvdF and Baird were none existent for most of the game and you blindly see Murray who made and scored a try behind a non functioning forward pack. One doesn't think you know your "aunt" from your "uncle" and you only see the Irish team you would like to see. There are a dozen such "fans" on here who seem to have crawled back into the "woodworm" over the last few months.
@@ccahill2322 yeah ok. This is an observation from watching Murray play for the last few years. Not his fault. He’s getting old. Didn’t say he had a bad game but he wasn’t great either. Dropped a couple of easy balls. I suppose they were all doing it. Just because you’re a Murray fan boy doesn’t mean he should be playing. And by the way I’ve always backed this team and still do. I still back them to do well but watching them play today will always make you question yourself. What’s it got to do with Baird and jvdf that Murray is slow getting to the ball?🤔

Personally as an Irish man think it’s good Ireland got a good scare so close to the World Cup we breezed Italy and we breezed England. This shows we aren’t unbeatable like some think we are. I do believe the extended windows in which the likes of Samoa, Fiji and Tonga have had together training as one shows they can be a real threat if they get it right. Fair play on a tough test match both teams

Great performance by Samoa from an Irish fan! Samoa and Fiji reserve regular competition against top tier teams and should definitely be considered for the rugby championship!

Samoa are a decent side. This is a warmup game no one is going out there to play 110%. Ireland never really stepped up the intensity into top gear at the breakdown or went through a gruelling numbers of phases over and over, yet they still won and did so with some clever play coming from behind. Its important to win without suffering any injuries. The game against England last week was won at a canter. That being said. Some big games will have to played in the RWC to have success. South Africa were good against NZ the other day but I think NZ had some jet lag still and also the were down to 14 and 13 for some long stretches. In fact I thought South Africa did a poor job in the first 30mins of converting all their possession into tries and NZ really had a bad game all round with dicipline and territory. But the better team won on the day.
