I was lucky enough to get all three seasons on DVD when they were available. I used to bring a DVD player into work at Newark Airport and made my co-workers watch episodes between flights. 15 years later those of us still there still talk about the Intervention episode as one of the funniest things ever. A while back a co-worker named Darnell ran into Christopher boarding a flight, and told him about knowing his show thru repeated viewings of the DVD and got Christopher to sign an autograph for me. A few years later I got to meet Christopher after a show in New Brunswick and reminded him of his chance meeting with my co-worker and his first response was “You were the guy with the DVD player?”. Great guy and the one of the most brilliant comedians ever.
The single shot of the woman with the gasoline is one of the funniest and darkest things I've ever seen on a network sitcom. Its moments like this that made this show one of the best ever.
@@Espressoqueen9894he might be shit political commentary but man he is comedy gold despite him hating the network that gave him a show that people enjoy what the hell Disney owns most of FOX now
I've been missing my dysfunctional family terribly in all of this, Titus. Watching these actually helps stop the tears with laughter, so thank you so much!
Damn, I remember this episode. Absolutely brilliant. Still as hilarious as I remember. Stacy Keach should have won son awards for that role. It's kinda scary how good he is! Christopher Titus, well done.
My absolute favorite episode.... :D Pure Comedic gold. Wish they'd give him a new show with the new directions his life's gone in. Love, love, love this show, even 20 years later. :)
Just wanted to thank you so much for all the up loads! I loved your show taped every episode. I also wanted to tell you that I got to meet you at California speedway in 2003 I think it was. You were so nice. It was an accidental meeting as you were getting ready to drive a stick car. I met a lot of celebrities that day but meeting you stuck in my head because you were genuinely nice and took the time to have a lengthy conversation with my then husband... never forgot it
Only three more till "Episode 11"... Can't say enough how much I love the fact these are being posted. I'd forgotten just how almost perfect this show is.

OMG!!!! This episode has blown my mind. First of all, Every episode of Titus is awesome AF and amazing. I loved them when they aired and I completely love them now. Just so funny and so insightful....BUT THIS...This episode...one thing I never realized back then when I was a kid was A) Stacy Keach was Mike Hammer - And B) In this episode, his boss Rich was played by Peter Jason! The police captain on Mike Hammer in the late 90's!!!! This just made me blow my load...Thank you Titus!!!! If you come up to the Bay area, I'm there!
Stacy kicks ass. My dad would watch this with me and ask me, "Why do you think this is funny??" Lol, oh dad, maybe there are just a few similarities. Maybe it's a combination of a bunch of dads from my childhood. I think I sometimes imitate them around my kids. 😂

As I watch more of this, I start to realize that, when I was younger, I was Tommy and my friend Justin and his family was the Titus family. Except I didn't idolize Justin's dad, I was terrified of him. Especially after that one time I was walking by his house, and Justin's dad yelled "Hey Kirk, keep moving! I need to get my rifle sighted in!"
Hey Titus, greetings from 🇨🇦. Huge fan. I noticed in one of your stand up specials that you mention your friend Tommy was like this cool stuntman guy, but the show he’s a little nerdy guy who’s deep in the closet. Did you do it as a rib on him, was it something the network wanted in order to balance out the cast and act as a foil/straight man to you and Dave, or is he based on a different Tommy altogether? P.S. were either of your parents still alive at the time that you started the show, and if so what did they think of it. I’ve always wondered. I understand you’re a busy man so if you never get around to answering this, or even seeing it among the sea of comments then that’s ok, I won’t take it personally, lol. Anyway thank you for all the years/decades of laughs and entertainment! 🙏 ♥️
If I remember right, there will be an episode coming up soon that where Christopher "dies" and its papa Titus doing all the black and white bits, but actually its about the death of his father and at the end of the episode they will have a short clip of his actual dad in an interview and some pics of him.
If I remember from The Titus Podcast correctly they actually switched Erin's personality with Tommy's for the show. Stunt man Tommy did stunts for this show so I'm sure he was aware of it. From the beginning of the podcast Tommy seems like a cool guy so I'm sure he didn't mind. Papa Titus would claim the show was over exaggerated and non of that really happened. My favorite quote was, "I never hit my kids and if I did they deserved it." I can imagine him with a beer in his hand as he says that. I know he would always threaten to sue the show but since it went on I doubt he followed thru with the threats. If I remember the time line I believe his mom passed away before the show was made and his dad during the show.
Chuck Hurst that’s right, I forgot about that episode, holy shit it’s been a while since I’ve seen this show in it’s entirely, lol, I would have been like 12 or 13 when it was airing originally, and sometimes I would show someone the first episode or two or start to re-watch but wouldn’t get past the first season.
Man98kind interesting. I should check out more of the podcast then. It’s funny you say you can picture him holding a beer. When Chris is telling a story about his dad during a special or podcast or something I’m sure most people of a certain age group will be picturing Stacy Keach in his place since that’s who they know as “his dad” lol. I know I do it.

"You better swim for the lighthouse laddie, the fog is rolling in."
That line is just classic and that evil smirk makes it even better

"Worry about what *I* think of you" Titus you're brilliant, that line read was hilarious 😂😂
I miss this show. The sibling fights and Ken Titus chewing up scenery is the absolute best! Thank you Christopher!
I love how this show isn`t really mainstream. It makes it that much sweeter.
It was (it aired on FOX), but it didn't really get mainstream appeal, like The Simpsons or Family Guy did.
"There was a plot?"
"You were a pirate."
Haha I love that part
When he called his father a wussy, everyone ran and his voice cracked when he tried to confirm what he said...I was in hysterics 😂😂😂
The world needs a rerelease of this show. Worth watching from start to finish all over again! Thanks for uploading 🤘
Is it just me or does Stacey Keach have a really seductive voice. His mannerisms, facial expressions all make his portrayal perfect.
He's a master theatrical actor, that's why he's so superb

Christopher Titus, well done.
Papa Titus hung out with Ken to get the character even better. But Keach was/is perfect.
Agreed, I remember him from other roles, but this one really shows his abilities. He really shows you what Ken was like.
"We actually have no pictures where my father is NOT holding a beer."
Lol
I have no childhood memory of my drunk not passed out on the couch.
I think that's most of us that grew up back then! A beer in one hand and a Marlboro in the other! Hahaha
Titus • Episode 8 • Intervention. 19.9.24. All in the family meets the superhighway of misanthropy.....
Don't know which part was funnier, you were a pirate or both brothers saying you shut up to Titus's girl. I died laughing at both.
That "you were a pirate" bit gets me every time 😂😂
Guess that would've made him a butt pirate🤣😂🤣😂🤔
@@robertjenkins5440 can someone really explain how that line got that reaction?! was it jus cos tommy gave details? or was it a psychological thing?
