This series was the unofficial beginning of the legend of Allen Iverson
One of the best stealers and one of the best scorers of all time.
so much energy, too fun to watch. greatest I've ever seen
best "Little Guard" ever HANDS DOWN
those were DEFINITELY THE DAYS....everyone in high school would schedule their work days around the sixers games!!!
Damn shame they never built any talent around my boy iverson he was a beast and the best player of his era
"I started playing basketball during the 2002 era where Allen Iverson was on his prime. I fell in love in his speed, tenacity, never say die spirit in basketball and his authenticity on and off the court. I have big respect to Michael Jordan but for me Allen Iverson is the Greatest of all time. He shows that little guys cannot be bullied and can win in the Giants' game.
my favorite play is the one where AI turns it over but then hustles back to strip the ball. Very few guys can, or try, to make that play.
Darrell Armstrong was a low key star point guard back in the day. That was a great tandem in the Orlando backcourt with him and Penny.
Listen to that crowd! What a helter skelter style that team played with too! So much ball pressure!
Man looking at this makes want to cry..5:20 mark was tight
I was at this game, me and my Dad took a chance drove down to the Center to find scalped tickets (ahh the days before stubhub). Paid several pretty pennies but my God was it worth the money. I remember I sat at section 217 at the then called First Union Center. Still one of the greatest experiences ever.
i was at this game....öne of the best memories of my life...i can only pray ben simmons can come close...love that answer
@TruhbleMan You were allowed to wear jewlrey in the NBA up until the 99-00 season.I dont now if oyu remember but Michael Jordan in his first 3 years or so use to wear a thin gold chain around his neck.He also wore that same gold chain in one of his dunk contest.
man, this philly team was extremely quick and athletic. i actually like this team better than the '01 squad that made the finals.
that team rocked...and you can't help to feel sorry for Hugues. injuries have devastated his game

He's the man!
From 1998 to 2001, Larry Brown built a defensive juggernaut in Philly. What he started around that time was supposed to win the NBA title in 2001. but we all know what happened lol. brown even said it himself when Detroit won the title in 2004 that he had basically the same team in 2001 sans Iverson. Man these was the glory days. Hopefully this new young talent the Sixers have today can bring back redemption to the city's basketball culture.
Ai had more steals than "dislikes"
