I used three Kirby figures in this shoot. It took me 15 hours from start to finish. Using three dolls at once is a very risky thing to do, because if you mess up the posing of one doll, you would have to redo it. You would need concentration the whole time. It was difficult because there were limited space to hold the dolls on the rig. When Kirby sucked Waddle Dee, I used play dough since it couldn’t be deformed. I switched the figure to Waddle Dee at just the right timing, and expressed the smashed Waddle Dee.

I love that pink Kirby briefly makes an angry face when blue Kirby bumps into him. The level of care and detail you put into these videos is incredible - it’s the little touches like that that really bring them to life.
they all had angry faces, pink Kirby's just lasted slightly longer

All that work for what was just a few seconds of animation. And it was beautiful. Kirby deserves such dedication and passion to express just how precious and heartwarming he is. So cool to see the process leading up to the final product. Well done!

I love this so much. The brief bits where the Waddle Dee feet are attached to clay(?) to get that animation smear done as a practical effect are so good.

I love seeing Kirby in a rainbow of colors and seeing him victory dance! So imagine my surprise when I found a video with Kirby dancing! I loved watching the finished product because of the dance, Kirby colors, and the sleeping Waddle Dee! I appreciate and thank you for showing the behind the scenes content to show how much work you put in.

I like how every time he makes a new nendoroid animation with new nendoroids, he put a review of it as well and saves more time🙌🙌🙌
one detail that gets me is actually incorporating the faceplate changes of all the nendos seamlessly into the motions
especially for the ones that you have to disassemble the hair and stuff and still manages to hold the same pose as if nothing

Oooh, Waddle Dee is replaced with Doe when he's absorbed! I totally thought it was edited in afterwards or something. That's so cool!
It's so fun to watch the animation again after the making of and see all the tiny details like the cute sleepy Waddle Dee in the back being waken up!
Clay does a great job of simulating motion blurs. In fact, its malleability is invaluable for stop-motion in general!
@@e-mananimates2274 I had seen a ton of stop motion made mostly with clay so it shouldn't be surprising but for some reason when an art technique is used to fill the gap of another it amazes me :O
@@cray_draws When it comes to animation, you have to use every trick in the book and even think outside the box. I actually developed a few methods of animating characters myself.

I believe I am also an animist. I always think that my toys and plushes have lives and I feel bad not paying attention or not playing with them because I think they will get sad and/or lonely. My parents and family always try to get me to stop thinking like this, but I never stop. Keep up the great work, I love your videos!

Speaking from experience, I know how difficult it can be to get an action figure into the exact pose you want, so trying to get three separate figures to have the exact same pose multiple times seems impossible. I probably would've just used photoshop at that point.
