I remember the first time I clicked on this, I thought, "Why did I click this? This is an old one. It's probably not as great." Well, not only was I incredibly foolish for thinking that, but also Rainbow Road literally had me streaming tears. Jesus Fucking Fuck.
a lot of people rave about the Rainbow Road part of this video, and for good reason, but the part that got me in tears was the moment I heard you playing the song from the Kalimari Desert... Oh man.
I felt the same as other coments here, you Raimbow road was so… so… I don't know how to explain, basically you touch so deeply the memory of who played MK64, makes me cry of happiness.
I refuse to believe that it has already been almost 7 years since I first watched this video. I don't believe that much time has passed already. Still can appreciate these older covers. Even if you are leagues better now. Really loved the Koopa Troopa beach segment, and then the lead up to Rainbow Road was sweet. This takes me back to a simpler time... Where I played Mario Kart 64 and did literally nothing else.
Oh my gosh, I honestly started crying tears of joy when you played Rainbow Road.. It was beautiful, THAT is the way Rainbow Road should be. Keep up the amazing work.
Of all the thing he has done, (all phenomenal might i just add) this medley as well as the F-Zero one just shows off how badass FamilyJules7x is as a guitarist/fanboy, or it just me?
Yeah Rainbow road is one of the greatest songs ever on the N64. I as many other people listening to this got chills at that part. Jules you are awesome, man!
@Silo2130 It all depends on what genre you play. I'd check out Musiciansfriend or Guitar Center and filter it down to what your looking for. I personally recommend an Ibanez. :)
dude how r u not like famous or something???? ur freaking amazing, i mean the video only has about 8,000 views.......wth?? we need to promote this guy cause he is freaking awesome. thumbs up if u agree
I think the coolest thing for me watching this video now beyond the awesome harmonies in Rainbow Road is seeing how much your bass playing has improved over the course of your videos. It's funny to see you playing with a pick in these videos and comparing your playing style as well as your tone; it's like night and day.
There needs to be a band in our world that plays retro Mario Kart game music like this i think they'll be a hit for Mario Kart fans everywhere and nice job
@FamilyJules7X actually i already looked closely, but couldn't figure out whether it is mario kart or not ... looked like loz for me... another point for you, kind sir! :D
Jules I subscribed the moment I heard your Frappe Snowland song! I would love if you would do another mariokart medly. Any chance you'd include the Mariokart credits?
every time i hear these songs that he plays brings all my childhood memories back when i first got this game i was fucking happy as shit played the fuck out of it i have it in the box as well because of him i will never stop playing n64
Loving the work! When it got to rainbow road it reminded me of how I used to always jump all the way down the first drop at the start of the track getting ahead :D
Awesome man, as always! I loved the start sound at the beginning and nice keyboard playing by the way :) I should probably do some more Mario Kart covers myself because the music is just so great. Keep rocking!
EXCELLENT!!! Amazing work as always!!! I especially liked the tropical sound of koopa troopa beach. Rainbow road was also very well done. That song sounds amazing no matter how it's played. athe keyboard was also a nice little touch!! Keep on rockin' broski!!!
After watching the Zelda Medley(Freaking amazing by the way!) And this, I find that in the heavier parts, your higher notes are harder to hear, but, aside from that no complains! You're a legend man! And an inspiration :D
You seriously recorded this with an iPhone 4? thats insane, must have been a challenge to do. you make amazing covers of these. must have taken forever to learn this and memorize it all
@FamilyJules7X By the way just so you know I don't watch many videos as many times over as I watched yours so good job man, keep it up!! I want to learn guitar just to be able to play these now haha...
