Looking forward to full mission replay where you can change camera angles and camera movement to make dynamic replays and maybe a upload feature so others can see it.
These are definitely already the highest-requested features regarding replay, and we plan on implementing any improvements we can to the replay system in the future! Our biggest priority was getting single-turn replay working in the first place, as it provides the most value gameplay-wise.
@@BraceYourselfGames Okay, I appreciate that clarification that this is the first step in the big goal of full mission replays. There was a moment of concern as I watched this that this was all that would be implemented at launch, and this addresses that concern. I can't emphasize enough how much marketing value that replay system will have, how much community value is wrapped up in that. So I am glad it is a WIP expected to be finished at launch. (Because you only get one chance to make that impression on the market.)
I'm playing the game since it first launched and it's amazing. I just hope that we will get full replay function at some point. I'm much more interested in that compared to just one turn replay, even though that is good for highlights.
We know this is one of the bigger things our players are looking forward to so I want to let you know that we plan on iterating upon the replay function in the future! Single-turn replay is good for highlights, but we prioritized it because it also is good for gameplay, as it allows people to analyze the fallout of the previous turn more closely.
Two questions: Can mechs punch eachother with those hands? If not, then when are gauntlets coming for mech fisticuffs? In all seriousness, game looks great (but seriously I want mechs to slug it out)
Welllll there are melee weapons, but they fall under the sword category rather than the gauntlet category... If you wanna get up close and personal you can always shield-bash, too :D
Can't replay the entire battle just each turn. They explained in discord it would be a time consuming process to do entire battles and not a high priority at this point.
@@trashl0rd You can already switch out all pilots with custom images or make custom color schemes. The devs often mentioned on Discord that some of them come from the modding community and that they are quite open for it and structure it to be easy to mod.
@@antonj.2408 That's nice, but I just mean the design of the game seems like there wouldn't be much to add, and doesn't have the history that, say, a BattleTech game has to build upon. Also, it's a niche style of game, like Frozen Synapse. But I hope to be proven wrong.
Hi there, glad to hear you're loving Phantom Brigade! We already have a very dedicated modding community who our devs will often provide assistance to on our Discord, and we plan to continue to support mods on all platforms :)

Can't wait for the pilot system!
I love how consistent these updates are, PB is truly a mech strategy gem!
Amazing job, BYG
cant wait for steam release!
Oh wow just randomly stumbled across this. I was so excited for it back when the first video dropped!
Yes! Replays are really important, thanks!

Tooooo slooooooow... But game looks awesom
for the playtest, you must first buy the game ?
or...
Nope, the playtests are free-of-charge; anyone can sign up!
@@BraceYourselfGames but I don't see it in steam :(
@@Guidelau The sign-ups weren't live just yet, but they are now (for a limited time)!
@@BraceYourselfGames ok thank you, I had trouble understanding since I'm not English, but that doesn't matter I registered directly
Love this Game, I hope they add modding once they're done play-testing on steam
I wouldn't expect much modding with a game like this.
