I'm not quite sure what you're doing when you "sl st to the other side of the last ch." What stitch are you inserting your hook into when you're sl st after the ch17?

alright so when you chain your 17 (for your second eyehole) your hook should be on the last chain from your foundation. this is the same stitch that I slip stitch in - however, i slip stitch on the opposite side of the chain. So think of working this "in the round" rather than back & forth.
This step was the most difficult for me to explain - so let me know if you still need assistance! Maybe I could film the step for you & explain it better! Let me know :)

I love your pattern but when I finish the mask, one eyehole is wider than the other.

Monique Cordero OH no! :( Not sure which eyehole came out bigger but maybe play with the number of chains for each eyehole - depending on how big of a size difference there is. I had to do some adjusting to get the right look for the yarn I used when i first started... it was a little tricky :/

Sure thing! I plan on making a tutorial for a childrens size. I will be sure to go slowly and film in better detail. hopefully this will be helpful to you... :) My apologies I am new to making videos! Let me know if there is a specific section you would like me to focus on....
