Fausti-Blaser are leagues apart, Blaser’s engineering is first class, that’s the first time David has said “it’s well balanced” and actually was!

Nice to see straight combs becoming popular. When I started shooting clays back in the 90's, it was frustrating not being able to find off the rack doubles with straight combs.

I like your review! I bought the sporter version with 32” barrels about 3 years ago. Had trouble with the triggers. Sent it back. Mine was the version before they updated the triggers. New triggers solved the problem. They completely went over the gun. I like it and shoot it better than my DT11. To me it’s a bit livelier then the DT11. Like your channel!

Great review. My brother owns an F16 sporter and it is very nice to shoot. He added barrel weights which helps improve handling. The stock has a good height and dimension. The palm swell is well shaped and not too large. It has a little cast and ‘comes up’ nicely to make a consistent gun mount. They look much better with grade 3 or grade 4 wood and they are a little expensive new but a high quality alternative for someone looking for something different. 👍

So this is what to expect with a F16. I have one. London style forearm no scnable.
It is designed and executed very well. The triggers, though not inline like the F3 are really excellent and in a class well above its price point. They are mechanical not inertia with a k80 style barrel selector. You can easily find lefty versions.
The forearm on the gun has hex cam adjustments to keep everything tight. I have adjusted it once and left it alone. You can add or subtract weight easily. It is a light gun in base 7.5 ish with 32" barrels. At least mine is and this could just be wood density
The design is extremely low profile, based off of an old Woodward design 1905? and IMO manages recoil unbelievably well due to this low profile.
In the USA they are about 4-4500. Used maybe 2800 to 3200. Here, the service is first rate if you ever have a problem.
Negs. A little light for dedicated clays gun. Gun is bauhaus plain.
I think it is better than a beretta 68x or a browning 725.
As I checked the boxes, for me it was a logical buy.

A Blaser F16 comes under a Beretta or Browning and equal with a Fausti? Another planet Lol 😂

I think you'd love the Ceasar Guerini invictus 1 Mspec even more I'd defiantly recommend one after shooting one a few times I'm sold on the idea probably the best handling gun for just over £4000 they are effortless to shoot

£3.5 k for a sporter without ventilated barrels and external chokes seems a little steep but they're nice handling guns. A lady shooter friend of mine has just bought an adjustable comb version to replace her Beretta Vittoria 691 and her scores improved overnight.

  • @Jolly56Roger
    @Jolly56Roger 2 роки тому +2

Its OK. But you could buy two new Browning or Miroku's for the same money, I would expect side ribs & extended chokes & adjustable comb for that price? (GD 1 wood I think !) well made though .

That gun is expensive in the states. Starting at 5k and upwards. Very nice sporter

Similar price to here in Australia $7500au, which puts it up against a beretta 694. Reviews I've watched suggest the 694 is number 1 at that price point, someone I know has purchased the f16 and I will try it asap. The F3 blaser is around $13,000au and thats a nice gun to shoot, so im looking forward to see how they compare. Hopefully i remember to update this comment later. Going to look at a 694 and Dt11 ($15,000au)tomorrow, but unfortunately wont be able to shoot with them

Beretta 694 or blaser f16, which has lower felt recoil? Second hand similar price which one? Or wait, save and same question Dt11 or Kreighoff k80?

Which do you prefer the Blaser or the XS pro? I'm looking for a new gun and very keen to try them both, would be interested in people's opinions. Cheers. 👍

How’s the recoil compared to comparative guns? I’m considering an F16 or a Rizzini 110? Big price difference and the guy in the store here shoots the 110 and says it has a low recoil. They sell both Blaser and Rizzini so it’s probably not just sales talk?

Sorry but how can you compare Blaser with Fausti? The quality is a stark difference, also an English forend isn't a Scnabul forend, there totally different from each other, with Blaser like BMW and alot of German brands, you only get what you pay for, want nicer wood you pay for nicer wood. I thought the selling piece to Blaser was the in line trigger pulls more similar to their rifles, making a crisp break, or is that just on the more expensive F3? I looked and seriously considered a F16 more than once, both the plain action and the Game Scene engraved one, personally I think their engraving is a little manufactured, a bit basic, plain action I think personally think is nicer, you never mentioned other barrel lengths? I take it they do a 32"?

Unfortunately the F16 doesn't have in-line strikers but in every other way I imagine the engineering and materials will be unsurpassed. Also what wasn't mentioned was the fact that all parts, from all F16's will be interchangable without further fitting such is the quality of manufacture.

Please can someone tell me what the comb height of this gun is like compared to a 525 and a silver pigeon? Somewhere in between or is it nearer one than the other?

Just a little addition to my previous post on the F16 below...After a slab of shells the ejectors went out of kilter and failed, also the front fore end latch fell of and dropped the fore end in the floor. The latch was only held on by glue............German engineering anyone?

Does Blaser make the F16 for trap also or can you shoot trap with this gun?

You should fit a recoil pad and stay with the Baikal. Overpriced in my opinion!
