    Hoi Ray, this trailer also looks like new, I hope you get a lot of work in 2025 because it always gives me great pleasure to see the end result in your vids, best wishes to you and your family for 2025 and I look forward to your next project, Paul. 💯👍🏻💯👍🏻💯👍🏻💯👍🏻💯👍🏻

      Well I certainly appreciate that, Paul! I have 2 dry erase boards on the side of my fridge that are nearly full with the names of previously booked projects. Been that way for the last few years. Not bad job security for a small crew living in a fairly isolated small town of less than 2000 people. A perk that we've earned the hard way over a quarter century of stubborn work ethic and solid results

    Ray, I see you always mask up when doing any spraying, but shouldn't you have some sort of huge exhaust fan for your shop to exhaust all the paint floating in the air. Your lungs will thank you down the road. Happy and safe new year, ready enjoy your videos. You And your crew are Bunch of hard working guys that do ex ellent work.

      I do have an exhaust fat that's around 3 feet tall. When it isn't keeping up once in a while, I open both doors a little to clear things up. Thanks for your input, Ron!

    you didn't put the red & white conspicuity tape back on or was the owner going to ?

    How do you keep from getting tiger stripes and dark spots when paint has metallic in it

    • @teams.t.e.a.m6214
      @teams.t.e.a.m6214  День тому

      I learned with trial and error...kinda how i've learned all my lessons. It takes a steady hand and a ton of experience. I'd recommend to anyone less experienced to just do your metallic painting in base clear. It's much more user friendly that way

  • @jamesd.hummell4391
    @jamesd.hummell4391 День тому +1

    Question, wouldn't that trailer require DOT reflective red/white striping?

    • @teams.t.e.a.m6214
      @teams.t.e.a.m6214  День тому

      Indeed it does. I always leave that up to the owner to decide exactly where they want it to appear.

    Hey Ray I said your name to James Pretty he wanted some work done. Come to find out he knows you I said you do great work. The trailer looks alot better.

      yeah...James and I have chatted on a few occasions and he generally chimes in on my videos. He's a great guy with some worth while content over on his channel. If we were closer...we would definitely collaborate on some of his projects. Thanks a lot, Edmond!

    You said that the paint on the army truck was tough paint and again this trailer. What makes that paint so tough, is it imeron paint?

    • @teams.t.e.a.m6214
      @teams.t.e.a.m6214  День тому

      I don't know what exactly the military uses...but I'm pretty sure it's not Imron. I run into a lot of coatings on chassis and trailers that were electrically introduced...kinda like powder coating is. Those are always unreliable as a long term coating...but tough as all hell to get back off, unfortunately.

    I paint single stage metallic also all the time

    • @teams.t.e.a.m6214
      @teams.t.e.a.m6214  День тому

    With all of your years of experience, is orange peal ever an issue for you? Just wondering as your finished product always appears to be as flat as glass. Thx

    • @teams.t.e.a.m6214
      @teams.t.e.a.m6214  3 дні тому +1

      Thanks for the question! I've been doing this for a while now and I strive for the flattest finish possible...but a certain degree of orange peel is nearly always present...even if it doesn't seem so in the pictures or footage. I've actually had customers display a bit of surprise on a few occasions when they see the video or pics and then show up in person and find that the finish isn't quite as flawless as they had initially thought. In short... my work isn't always as even and glassy as it may seem...especially in single stage paint.
